I wasn't sure if I would use this pedestal washer much but I use it a bunch. Great for small loads and for delicate hand wash items. Works great with big washer and this washer running at once!

I brought along with my front loader. It actually does a good job with small loads like socks or underwear. I got it at a super deal, it is very expensive for a small loader. best to get it on sell then you won't go wrong.

It's a tiny old school washing machine that can run simultaneously with your full size washer. The only downside is there is no soap or fabric softener dispenser. You put the soap in prior to pressing start. When the rinse cycle starts it will alert you so you can pause and add liquid softener (or use fabric sheets if using the dryer). I love being able to run small batches and do my hand wash items at the same time as my regular clothes.

The sidekick is a great addition and invention. Great for a quick wash when you have kids (for things such as « food reject » incident, « bottom » incident,...) and also to wash work out clothes or the clothes you just used for DIY workshop or housework renovation. Really love it and will defenetly always buy from now on! Very easy to mount under washer (you will need 2 people of course). It also comes with all the Y connectors (you just have to buy 2 other hoses for hot and cold). And make sure you check for leaks before you « push it back in place »

Very easy to use. Great for small wash loads. Also helps give a good height to the main washer. Wife uses it to run small daily washes for kids sports clothes and her office jackets and cardigans.

Convenient t for 3-4 items to wash. Wash time is longer than I expected, no speed wash option for sidekick, no soap dispenser either?:( Overall its a decent small washer, quiet and good option for a stained shirt, blouse or pants in need of washing.

This sidekick is a great addition to the washer! I love being able to separate my smaller items into the sidekick washer and do them separately - makes laundry much quicker and more efficient!

This separate sidekick is a second washer to help tackle small loads. It works independently from the main washer so you can use it freely. Loads up to 7lbs (4 large bath towels). The normal cycle is about 35 minutes to wash. It uses water to keep vibration balance down so don't be alarmed if it sounds like there is water in the drawer. My only complaint is between this and the main washer I'm washing clothes to fast and my dryer can't keep up. Maybe LG will build a sidekick dryer for the smaller loads.

This unit is a great idea for small loads. It is over priced. It cost just as much as a full size unit. I would only buy it when it was on sale.

This purchase was an after thought. It is a lifesaver for small loads that you don’t want to wait to wash, such as gym clothes. Delicates work great in this washer, as well.

What a great idea. Instead of dead space in the pedestal you get a second washer. We use this for quick small loads - particularly useful for work out clothes so they can always be washed right afterwards and keep the laundry basket fresh.

This washer is a great complement to our regular washer. We have a new baby that is constantly dirty, we can do a separate load without having to fire up the larger washer

The pedestal washer is not something I personally would have considered buying, especially for $600. My wife wanted it, and with it on sale for $500, and an LG promotion for $150 off to buy the washer and pedestal together, it was only about $100 more than buying the washer and storage pedestal, not so bad. She likes it to run delicates and small loads that she would not normally run in the full sized washer. It also allows to run a small load and full size load at the same time, which is convenient. So far she is very pleased with it. One star off because to avoid mildew, you have to leave it open to dry, or towel it off if you don't want to leave it open.

    1) As front loaders do not let u add a garment easily during a cycle. And if u really need something washed..urgently right after, this washer is good. 2) Kitchen towels, kids chlorinated swim clothes....Small loads that you don’t want to mix in your regular washer load (or)loads that get stinky if not washed right away..can be washed easily in this. 3) descent capacity, be careful not to overfill. 4) The front loader is energy efficient... not so much the pedestal washer though 5) child lock control is nice for moms 6) use the little detergent cup to prevent excessive suds. 7) I like to leave it open to dry, but that means pulling it out all the way, then raising the lid.. can be space occupying for tiny laundry spaces

I purchased an open-box sidekick in fair condition. I've used the sidekick a few times. Installation was relatively simple. Moving the sidekick and placing the washer over it was a P.I.T.A. The washer needs to be screwed down onto the sidekick to prevent the washer from vibrating during a wash cycle. I wish there was more vibration dampening on the four top corners of the sidekick where the washer's feet rest. The washer vibration is still loud and harsh even after the screws are placed to secure the washer to the sidekick. But this isn't an issue with the sidekick itself. I ran into some issues with the sidekick's setting buttons. I have to wait a minute before I can select the "handwash" setting, which requires a few button presses. This isn't normal, but although an inconvenience, it's not serious enough for me to take back to Best Buy. I purchased the three-year geek squad warranty so I hope I don't encounter any other issues. So far, I'm satisfied with the sidekick. The operation is quiet and it works very well for what I bought it for--to wash socks and active wear every week.

I never knew I needed this mini-washer, but it's great if you want to run a small load when the big washer is busy. PROS: Styling matches similar LG washers and dryers. Unit is quiet. You can add an optional IR remote control. CONS: The IR remote control should be included, but it's not. No WiFi. Separate supply hoses, drain hose, and electrical cord make for a busy space between wall and washer (plastic y-connectors for drain and water supply are supplied; should use metal for supply) This pedestal washer is surprisingly heavy, especially after mounting the heavy front loader on top.
