We had been thinking of upgrading our side by side door refrigerator every since we moved into our house about 7 years ago. House was new construction and builder chose appliances based on specs of previous buyer (that deal fell through and when we later bought the house- we got "stuck" with their appliance choices) and so rather than be wasteful and replace a brand new appliance- we used the fridge. That style is just so inefficient that it drove us insane. Never enough room for pizza boxes on the rare chance we had them. Can't thaw or brine the holiday bird- fridge wasn't wide enough. Had to have a practically empty fridge to prepare/store holiday meals. Cook more than a couple of meals and you're out of room. You get the picture. We chose this as we wanted the largest fridge we could get, it was a French door, and had dual ice makers. Everything has been top notch. I was able to move everything from old fridge to this one and have room to spare. I even have Christmas dinner leftovers in the fridge..with the old fridge's contents (what we didn't toss anyway)..and yes, STILL could go to the grocery store and have room to spare. Every corner of this thing is well lit and you can reach it all so easily; no losing/forgetting things as they inevitably get pushed to the back of the fridge. Bins are HUGE. So is the pull out deli tray. I can put the warehouse sized sandwich meat and sandwhich/sliced cheese trays in the pull out deli tray easily. One of those larger party trays would probably fit as well though we haven't tried them. Bins can hold a Costco sized bag of spinach and not even be more than 1/3 full. I don't understand why everyone complains about the craft ice maker- proper research would've told many of the complainers that the maker only starts to make ice about 48 hours after install and only 3 a day. The door maker starts about 24 hours after install and within 2-3 days was full for us. That's without the ice plus setting. Yes, you're supposed to throw out the first 6-10 craft ice, and the first 150 or so regular ice (I threw out the first full bin rather than count) but even doing so we had another full ice bin by Friday morning and our install date was Monday night. We just bought a bag of ice (stored in the freezer and yes, still have room to spare) to tide us over. No big deal. We used a fridge/freezer thermometer and temp settings are dead on. A little colder center shelves and back of shelves and a little warmer in the door and top shelf- but we're talking a 1-2 degree variance. Nothing to get overly concerned with. Left hand door swings close hard- I think because of the ice maker unit. Storage on left hand door is limited, but it WILL fit the warehouse sized mustard/mayo/ketchup bottles. Door in Door will fit full Champagne and magnum wine bottles (hey- it's that time of year! lol), so I'm sure gallons of milk shouldn't be an issue. Half and half, beer, soda, etc. fits no problem. Knock knock preview works well and unlike earlier versions my big dog's voice doesn't seem to trigger it even when she's in the kitchen with me. And one of the shelves slides up and down to adjust as needed. Ice/water dispenser can fit TALL items underneath with ease. Don't much use the measured water fill, but when I have it's been accurate. Water dispenser nearly silent- if you weren't literally watching the water come out you'd probably not know it was running. Ice dispenser quieter but not silent. Ice does like to shoot all over- but that's just one or two cubes. Haven't tried crushed ice yet. Water is chilled coming out of the dispenser. Fridge itself runs quiet too. You won't hear ice filling the door bin once there's some ice in there. The craft ice however, you will very obviously know is being filled IF you are in the vicinity of the fridge when the ice drops in. But it's not like you can hear it upstairs or anything as noisy as that. Black stainless very elegant and does not clash with the remaining regular stainless appliances in the kitchen. VERY fingerprint resistant. Not magnetized on front. So far, my only complaints are minor: left hand door and right hand door are not flush at the top (yes, even after performing the leveling techniques) and are off about 1/8". Shelves inside hard to arrange so that tall items fit anywhere versus one certain area. Of course, you can put those tall items in front of the adjustable slide shelf- but that makes it hard to reach behind them to get items stored on said shelf. No removable drip tray for ice/water dispenser- so you will have to wipe the very occasional dribbles up. Though on the other hand, if your water leaves deposits/scale, there's no unsightly drip tray you must now clean all the time like before. Overall, we would make this purchase again. We have owned the fridge for about a week now, FYI. If something changes I will come back and review again.

The knock door led doesn't work, it doesn't make the sounds on the display and there's no water coming out of the dispenser. bought as open box with a scratch on the side and working 100%.

I had an LG side by side for 14yrs it was starting to nickel and dime me so it was time to get a replacement. My wife and I looked, did our research And decided to go with this French Door. A little pricey but what isn’t now days. It is too early to really give an accurate review but so far we like what we have. We can’t even hear the motor and that’s fantastic, very spacious, door in door is handy. The Craft Ice is a neat feature but only 3 a day which is cool So you have to let them accumulate (If you are a Whiskey drinker, NICE). We use a lot of ice so a larger ice maker would be nice but understandable. I’ll try to update my post in more time. That’s why I only gave 4 stars but right now it’s a 5 star.

If you are looking for a large fridge this one is extremely roomie with large drawers, movable shelves, and in door storage. 2 ice makers! Both water and ice are easily accessible directly from the outer door. This feature can be locked if kids or pets like to push the button. Plus, digital controls allow you to see both fridge and freezer temp without opening the doors. Craft Ice is a nice addition. If you have issues making the round ice, adjust the water pressure. My only complaints, if you are under 5' 5" reaching items in the very back on the top shelf in the fridge is difficult. For a large family, the ice maker in the door might be too small if everyone needs ice at once.

Beautiful fridge. The glass "Instaview" gives it a very unique and luxurious look. Knocking on it twice lights it up which is pretty cool. It turns off in maybe 15 seconds or something. I do use that glass door often to grab condiments. It's pretty massive for a fridge, but that's probably because I came from a 22 cubic feet fridge. This is NOT counter depth so it can stick out in some kitchen layouts. I've had it for a while now with no real issues. The only time we had issues was when we didn't close the freezer all the way and I guess it stops cooling and our food melts. Our fault, not the fridge's.

Let's start with the refrigerator and then get to the gimmicks that we all love so much. First of all, let me say that I was simply looking for a french door refrigerator to replace my aged one that the icemaker had stopped working in. Upon studying the current refrigerators I stumbled upon the "craft" ice option. Now remember, I had been without ice previously so what I really wanted was plenty of ice and this machine gave me two options, regular ice in the door and larger ice being made in the freezer. They both have served me well after a couple of months use. An important note on craft ice though, you have to wait about three days to get the large ice in any amount so be patient. It also only makes about three round balls per day. They will accumulate and you will eventually have a freezer full. The "knock knock" option was inexpensive and cool but should not be a deciding factor, it's not really necessary although you will have fun with it until the fun fades. Lastly the "door in the door" option is great for storing items you will use a lot, like ketchup or coffee creamer and such.

We LOVE this refrigerator! The door in door feature is amazing. Quickly grab milk, coffee creamer, bottled drinks with a push of a button. Craft ice is amazing and the water and ice taste great. The shelves and bins are very high quality and look like they will last the life of the fridge. We love the look of the black stainless steel. I also appreciate the fridge allows for me to schedule when our electricity is on peak times and it makes adjustments to limit the amount of energy it produces during those times, saving me money in the long run.

Great refrigerator. Makes ice much more quickly than most refrigerators with the compact ice makers. I love the craft ice balls for cocktails, but it takes 2-3 days to make just a few balls so you have to really plan ahead for entertaining. I love the door-in-door feature! I can put my childs snacks and juices in this area for easy access without her holding the full frig door open forever. The instaview is nice unless you have kids - they will play with this feature!

We are big cooks, and if you entertain or buy in bulk then this fridge is for you!!! Craft ice is the great little bonus, too!

Great looking with a large amount of storage. I love the versatility of the shelves and having access to condiments/beverages via the outside door works great for our family. The freezer is generous in space and the two shelves allow storage of large platters. The craft ice cubes are also a huge hit! We’re very satisfied with this purchase.

While this fridge may be a bit more expensive than a no frills basic fridge/freezer, the feature set does a great job of adding consistent improvements to your daily routine which over time add up to a great investment. If you are looking for something to cool food and keep food fresh, this fridge will work great but there are other options at a cheaper price. If instead you are looking for a showpiece that adds functionality such as: sphere ice maker, door in door, and optimizable shelving, this is a great fridge to look at. While the sphere ice may seem like a gimmick, it does a great job of cooling drinks while not melting slowly and diluting sodas, coffees, or alcoholic beverages. The door in door feature is great for quickly getting out drinks or other quick access items and is a regularly used feature. The optimizable shelving is a really great addition to store larger containers that would otherwise have to be laid down. Rather than having them potentially spill they can be placed in the area of the collapsible shelf and easily accessed. One of the most useful features of the fridge which is not adequately advertised is the accompanying app that can be used on your smartphone. With this app you are able to set the temperature of the fridge/freezer, get updates on the air and water filters, optimize power usage/use ice plus, as well as identify expiry dates of foods to get notifications of when products will be expiring.

Have been living with this refrigerator for 2 weeks. Enjoying the craft ice, although to date they are coming out with a slightly flattened end, not perfect spheres. Great extra space, and the glass door (which my wife thought was unnecessary) has proven useful-even by her admission. Very quiet and looks sleek.

After a long time trying to choose a refriegerator, this was it. Been in our house for about 4 months. Very spacious and comfortable for what I need. We choosed the black one. The inside with the stainlees steel, it looks very nice and fancy. The craft is does take time to get ready but there really nice and almost perfect round. My only issue with refrigerator is the water filter is not very good. Water does taste really off. Not sure if its the filter it self or maybe because I live in a new development. After another few months we will give it a try by buying a new filter. Overall very happy with the purchase.

I love love love this refrigerator. It's beautiful, stylish and makes craft ice! How can you not love that? While the craft ice is a little slow at 3 ice balls a day production, if you're not a raging alcoholic, have multiple whiskey drinkers in the house or kids that insist on using them up because they are "so cool!" it should be plenty. The standard ice maker is a bit small but the "Ice Plus" feature ramps up the speed of ice production for 24 hours so it really hasn't been an issue. Can't go wrong with this one.

We love everything about this roomy refrigerator. The ledge space for glasses to get water and ice is well designed. The craft ice is perfect for drinks, even though it can be a bit noisy when it drops into the tray in the bottom freezer. The glass front door is not only nice looking, but also convenient. It took awhile to get this refrigerator, but the wait was well worth it. Delivery was convenient, and with the Geek Squad we were able to have them move the older refrigerator into our garage.
