    The sound bar has great sound, however, the subwoofer will not stay connected. I have tried everything from A-Y.. now I need to return it.

    Subwoofer bad after a year

    Bad subwoofer… my subwoofer stopped working right after a year’s use. I called LG to try to get info on a repair. Their response was that I had to send both the Soundbar and woofer at my expense and they will then tell me repair costs. This is a known, but LG does not offer any resolution.

    Cheap Subwoofer

    Subwoofer bricked by LG's firmware update

    DO NOT PURCHASE A SOUNDBAR/SUBWOOFER COMBO FROM LG. They caused thousands of subwoofers to stop working with a corrupted firmware update. The firmware update they pushed out caused some sort of power surge that fried the PCB board inside the subwoofer, causing them to stop working. I didn't realize that's why two of ours stopped working at the same time until I researched what would cause the subwoofer to no longer have power and saw that everyone who purchased a soundbar/subwoofer combo experienced the same issue. LG knew about the problem because they sent out a message at some point telling people to unplug their subwoofers when they pushed the firmware update, but they refuse to accept responsibility for bricking thousands of expensive subwoofers. People who aren't getting any help from LG or Best Buy are buying replacement PCB boards, but those can cost over $100 and who knows when LG will decide to push out another round of corrupted firmware. If you do purchase this, unplug the subwoofer when not in use.

    Believe the negative reviews about the subwoofer

    I would not recommend this product. It was a Christmas gift to me in 2020 and I loved it, the subwoofer stopped working Christmas 2021 -exactly one week after the warranty ended. How convenient!!! Now if I want to have it fixed I have to pay $150 or buy a complete new system. I feel bad that my sister wasted almost $300 for this product.

    Only a teo star due to the soundbar that works great. Common problem is the sub. went out afyer having it for a very short time. Overall, for the price i paid….. not worth the buy.

    Failed after 2 years. Sound decreases after turning on until the loudest setting is a whisper. Hard reset, then it repeats. Common problem with this model.

    I got this Sound bar with my new LG nano cell tv,then connected it and sound was ok,not the best,My Two main complains are 1- there is no kind of lighting or Mini Display on the Sound bar That tells you what is going on. 2- The Original remote that came with it has very short distance otherwise won`t work,so add this to no lights or Info Screen it ended up been such a pain to deal with,Took it to the store and got Sony instead .

    wireless subwoofer is a joke

    brought it home, took forever to connect the wireless sub to the speaker. after we turned off the tv, the sub disconnected. after a week or so, the sub wouldnt even power on when plugged in.

    Constant bad connection

    I've had this sound bar for about a year now, and I have to say it's pretty disappointing. When the bass actually works, it sounds good. With that, hdmi audio never worked well ehich resulted in switching to optical, and the subwoofer issues are constant. I've had to pair it three times now. Even after doing so the connection cuts in and out every few seconds. It does this whether the subwoofer is 2 feet away from the soundbar or 10 feet away. I have searched online relentlessly and none of the suggested fixes work. Stay away from this and just spend a bit more to get something that actually works. I will be replacing it as soon as possible and never purchasing an LG again.

    Sub cuts out CONSTANTLY

    Do not buy this, even on sale. The sub cuts out for anywhere from 3 to 10 seconds around every 2 minutes. This is especially frustrating when trying to do dance workouts or even when listening to music. It’s not as noticeable when watching regular tv shows with little music and lots of dialogue, but the soundbar becomes almost unusable when trying to watch movies or shows with a lot of action. This is 100% not worth the money and I regret purchasing.
