Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the sound quality, easy setup, and price of the 3.1-Channel 420W Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and DTS Virtual:X. They appreciate the excellent sound quality, simple setup, and reasonable price. However, customers are negative about the subwoofer, connectivity, durability, remote control, and warranty. They have experienced issues with the subwoofer cutting out, connectivity issues, the soundbar not lasting long, and problems with the remote control. Some customers also feel that the warranty should be longer.

LG Soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to try this unit when I bought a new Sony TV (which is fabulous). Wanted to see if this would give me the sound I wanted instead of running the audio through my old receiver. For what it is, it is fine. I just wanted something that had a richer sound. No complaints about the sound quality, just doesn't carry the punch I wanted. This would be good for a small room or apartment where you share a wall with a neighbor.

Easy to use and sounds great.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. I’m not too picky when it comes to sound, but I think it sounds great. The wireless woofer needs to be within about 10 feet otherwise it randomly disconnects. I love the blue tooth connectivity for streaming music, just connect to it from my phone and it turns on.it also turns on when the TV is turned on.

Rock solid sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You want sound that is pop ahlappin’! Riley Reid screaming from the rooftop, Christy Mack sounding more fierce than ever? Except no substitutes! Even Johnny Sins would say this bar rocks hard. Blue Tooth it to your phone to let your neighbors know who your favorite star on Capitol Hill is this week!

Best value ever!

Better all around
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No longer use my stereo receiver for my sound system. This replaced 6 old speakers and the tv sound better. They have done amazing things to speakers today.

what
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sound bar was better than the cheap one I had bought in hopes of hearing the dialogue in movies better. It has a third speaker dedicated to voice, and it does help. The separate sub-woofer , so far, seems like a large paperweight. Produces very little bass, hardly noticeable (you can hear it if you put your ear up to it, so I know it's trying to work, but doesn't have any ooomph!) I'm reasonably happy with it because I can hear most of the dialogue in movies.

Not bad, but not great.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent soundbar, although I don't have anything to really compare it to. Setup was easy. For the price, I was expecting it to "wow" me but I can't say it did that. Part of me feels as though I could have saved some money and gotten the Samsung version, but given that I have an LG TV, I wanted the soundbar to match. I do like the fact that it turns on with the TV. Be sure to purchase and HDMI cable to make use of the ARC feature as it only comes with a digital optical one.

Great Sounds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a new LG TV but was not sure if I wanted to purchase the LG 420W sound bar . I already had a different sound bar under a different manufacture but am I so ever glad that I decided to purchase this LG sound bar. There is no comparison between this LG model and the others that I have owned in the past.

Subwoofer Didn't Last Long
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the LG – 3.1 – Channel 420W Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and DTS as a package deal with the TV. My friends and relatives were all blown away by the sound quality. Unfortunately, the subwoofer just stopped working. I tried troubleshooting and watched numerous YouTube videos to help. There is no power at all and the light does not come on when plugged in. I’ve seen some other customers having the same issues online where the sound was good at first and the soundbar itself is good. But with the subwoofer lasting less than two years is very disappointing. I really enjoyed the product but would not have expected the subwoofer to stop working especially being in good condition.

Subwoofer lasted for 1.5 year
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sound at but poor quality subwoofer. I saw some other reviews mention that their sub stopped working after a year. Mine also died after about 1.5 year of use. It cannot be replaced and repair cost is not justified considering how cheap it’s built.

Better than LG 2.1
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, if you're thinking between this and the LG 2.1, stop there. I did buy the 2.1 and it wasn't worth it. Get this at Black Friday prices. This model does have the Center 3.1 (voice) setting that the 2.1 versio s sorely lack. You won't be able to set the 2.1 enough to get anything worth it and you'll return it just like I did. Don't settle for mediocre. The extra $$ for this model will save you the time and inconvenience. 2.1 reproduces noise, this 3.1 will give you the true sound you're looking for.

There's a reason warranty is only 1 year!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it worked it sounded pretty good. Music sounded great with nice hitting base. Voices were clear during movies. It was all pretty good until almost exactly 1 year later when the warranty expired. Now the base not only on the subwoofer but on the soundbar also goes in and out so it is now unusable. I've tried every configuration to try and fix it to no avail. Wasted money since it's on a tv we don't watch much so didn't even get much use out of it.

3.1 vs 2.1 Major improvement
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as a gift and helped set up, Definiitely a quality soundbar for the money. The 3.1 system (additional) speaker oriented as a more of a center channel makes a great impact on the sound quality. Having owned the LG 2.1 version of this similar unit. The 3.1 has clear sound and bass. Great bang for the buck

Great sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this sound bar along with an LG 70 inch tv. Very easy setup and easy to pair with Bluetooth. Sound is crisp and sub has a nice deep sound. Have a smaller room so I don’t have the rear surround sound speakers, but can purchase them at a later date if I want too. Overall a very good deal and purchase. Very satisfied.
