I have had a wall-mounted 27" double-wide LG monitor for a number of years now and I have come to rely on that for my daily work. I opted to go with this larger 34" double-wide display as my eyes have now aged a bit and as I will appreciate the larger display. This new display works great and checks all of the boxes, including me using the double-wide display to work on large (wide) spreadsheets. I also use the display to show two documents side-by-side as I incorporate elements from multiple other documents into a current document. Upon receiving this new display I see that a custom LG wall mount bracket is required (part number RW120), but it does not yet appear to be available for sale. A standard VESA display mount does not work, so the custom LG wall mount is required. This unfortunately means that I need to set my brand new monitor aside until I can purchase a wall mount. It is for this reason that I give it 4 versus 5 stars...

This is a great monitor for students. I am a computer science major and the large screen is very helpful when it comes to productivity. I can have an IDE open and easily have a browser (or two) open at the same time. The picture quality is very good and I can not comment on the stand because I wall mounted it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I am still trying to determine if this monitor is really what I prefer, so I will try and help any readers out there the pros and cons I have experienced. It does work great to open two apps and size them each to half of the screen, effectively creating an "additional" screen while multi tasking which is nice. The setup/assembly was super easy and a no brainer, it is a fairly well built setup, and moving it around on the desk is not a burden at all. It does have quite a presence, looks awesome on my desk, and has the connections that meet most needs today. My current computer does not support the recommended resolution of the screen, so I am unable to use this to it's fullest visual ability, which saddens me a bit, and leaves the icons and windows a bit blurrier than normal. There is no way to adjust the monitor vertically to line up with other monitors which is disappointing. Be prepared to have enough space, because it is large. Overall, I would definitely recommend this monitor, but think about your needs, available space, and computer's capabilities so you can enjoy it to the fullest

This monitor is much larger than I expected, and I'm happy I was ignorant. The quality is great and allows me to perform all my work on a single screen.

Purchased this late December 2019 (paid cash in person at best buy which is why it doesn't show "verified purchase"). Decent if unremarkable picture, no dead pixels, some nice features. Was on sale and it seemed like a good price to get an ultrawide monitor for work. Then mid March 2020 the monitor suddenly started turning off and wouldn't power back on. Apparently this happens enough on LG monitors that "intermittent power off" is one of the drop down options for repairs (wish I wouldn't have checked that page before buying).  So I requested repair service and waited for a ticket. Before I could send it in I received an email that due to coronavirus they had changed shipping locations and to respond to the email with a request for a new shipping slip. I did that. Repeatedly. For a month. With no replies. Resorted to submitting a new request at the end of April and shipped the monitor back to them for repair. I received the "repaired" monitor June 9th. On June 10th I put it back in service. On June 11th, after maybe 6 to 8 hours of use, the monitor powered down and wouldn't turn back on - same as before. Called LG service this time and they told me that it was "Repaired and tested" before being sent back. Well that means either their repairs or their testing are horrible. Maybe both. CS rep told me I would receive a return slip within 24 to 48 hours. Here it is five days later and I still don't have it. Now I'm wondering how long I'll have to wait to get the monitor repaired a second time. Another month and a half? And when I get it back, how long after it's been "repaired and tested" will it last before it fails again? Will I have to keep doing this until the warranty expires and they say "sorry, this is no longer covered under warranty?" I've had this monitor for less than 6 months and more than half of that time I haven't been able to use it because of the combination of defective merchandise and poor LG customer service / repairs.  I completely regret buying this monitor - it has been nothing but a waste of time and money. Don't make the same mistake I did - find another brand and don't just buy this because it's "cheap and big".

I have been using this monitor for a solid week and I am in love. The amount of space is top notch and the screen splitting feature is amazing. The quality of the picture is bar none the best non 4k I have seen and makes picture editing the easiest when working in 3 different programs at once. Picture in Picture is a real nice feature. The colors pop and there is no lag at all. The supplied HDMI cable is decent but I recommend upgrading to a high speed HDMI cable if gaming and doing a lot of work at once. Only reason for the 4 stars is I have had it get an error a few times and shut off. I have tried 3 cables a and it does not fix it. The error states it is losing signal and resolution is too low. The screen is wide and amazing, I recommend this for a single screen setup over others I have tried.

This monitor works exactly the way it's supposed to. The ultrawide space makes it possible for me to have so much more going on on the screen. I almost want two ultrawide monitors.

Got this item for my daughter. she absolutely loved it. She uses mostly for college/school and she said it increased her productivity and made her homework and tasks much easier.HIGHLY RECOMMEND. OBTW got this on sale, Best Buy really. Thank you

This is a FABULOUS monitor!! I'm using a Mac mini with M-1 chip, and, with this monitor, I can create and edit video, audio, and everything else I want to do—it's wild to have so much screen space!!

The size of the screen surprised me. I used it for office work; the screen allows to have decent size multi windows display.

I order this only when I opened the box I was excited to turn it on when I grab the monitor I instantly knew something was wrong I could feel the side of the monitor was broken

Its a good wide angle monitor, but mine just stopped working under an year after purchase.

Monitor looks good. But height can not be adjusted. Simply does not make sense. Why do they think everyone is of the same height ? Frustrating. May end up returning
