Perfect for work and gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Due to COVID-19 I was required to work from home and I was getting a lot of headaches from eye strain from looking at the company's laptop screen and my two BENQ 19" monitors from the 90's. I replaced them with this huge monitor and what a difference. The colors are crisp, the refresh rate at @75Hz can be noticed right away. The brightness and balance are great out of the box and optional picture modes are great features. I work mostly with MS Office applications and I can fit up to 3 windows in this monitor which allows me to multitask more efficiently. I no longer feel eye strain and headaches after a work day using HDR mode. During off work hours I read the news and watch YouTube videos at high resolution. No complaints. I hooked it up to a my gaming PC with NVIDIA GTX 1070 at max settings and with gaming mode ON and FreSyn ON I was surprised of how well it handles FPS games like Modern Warfare. It gets a little to get used to the wide field of view but to me it was an advantage. I'm no hardcore gamer but my KDR improved from 1 to 2. The experience was unreal. On a PS4 I didn't like it, the monitor stretchers the image because it does not support this monitor resolution. Playing Blue-rays on Movie mode is like watching my Samsung LED TV, deep blacks and no blurring. The things I don't like is only has two HDMI connections, a DisplayPort would have been nice. The headset input is on the back of the monitor sucks, why not place it on the side or closer to the bottom edge of the monitor or have Bluetooth built in. This requires a headset with a large cord. I ended up just using a Bluetooth speaker and headset thru my PC. The sound was better coming from the PC anyways. Overall I recommend this monitor to get more work done and cut the clutter of having a 2 or 3 monitor set. Crossing fingers that it will last for years. 1 year warranty is not enough for the price range.

Multitasking like a champ!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 20 to setup our new office and besides looking great on everyone's desk they remove the need for a second monitor. This equates to less cabling and more productivity. Our modern office layout called for simplicity and functionality. We achieved that with the help of these monitors. Pros: Large screen size and wide format allows for 2-3 windows being open on the same screen and viewing them all at once. Simple setup and clean front and rear profiles. They are also great for watching videos or zoom meetings because they allow you to use a portion of the screen to look at emails or documents pertaining to the meeting. Cons: for some purchasing 2 monitors for the same or lower price might be a better deal. It really depends on the application.

Perfect for the right person.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a gaming monitor, there are better options. If you’re looking to be able to have several apps open at the same time (streamer, musician, podcaster, stock trader, student) this is an excellent monitor. It is pretty good for gaming too but the refresh rate maxes out at 75hz. All that being said it was the perfect choice for my needs.

Great Ultra-wide.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great ultra-wide monitor. The on screen control works. I had to download this by the way. I bought a second one so I can view more screens (4 at a time). And it works perfectly. What a joy! Takes multi-tasking on another level. Working remotely has never been better. If you need do a lot of systems monitoring or spreadsheets, and do occasional movies, this is for you. If you’re a gamer or passionate with high performance, look elsewhere. LG has that, just not this one. Price is just about right too, for the boost of productivity it can give you. It pays for itself.

Good for productivity, not best out there 4 gaming
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this monitor for increasing productivity and not gaming so I don't really mind the relatively lower refresh rate (75). It comes with the HDMI cable so I was able to get started quickly with using this monitor for grad school. If you're trying to get a gaming monitor, I'm sure there are much better ones out there that are more economical. I knew this beforehand but I only wanted a large screen to multitask. I love the massive screen size (34"), but the stand is not adjustable so keep that in mind if you need some height adjustment. The screen tilts up and down a little. It does not come with a speaker or camera, so you might want to consider that too. It comes with an owner's manual CD about regulatory / safety precautions I'm sure you've seen enough of this monitor by now but I'll still add a few pictures.

Big and awesome.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s an awesome and big monitor. It’s only fhd but looks amazing. If you’re looking for a big awesome monitor and don’t want to spend a ton look no further. I got it on sale but it’s worth the normal price.

Q: QuestionI have this monitor and the screen turns black for 2-10 seconds and then turns back on. I've changed cables, used different docks, and connected straight to my laptop and used a different laptop. Any help would be appreciated.
Asked by Ryn.
- A:Answer I had a simulator issue when trying to figure out why 1 of the 3 monitors (all this model) was not as clear and crisp as the others. The more I tried to fix the worse the issue became, hence the black/blank screen issue... What solved all problems is Below. On the monitor Itself using the button below the Lg logo in the middle. I went to the menu settings and clicked on the restore to factory or default settings. Once I did that and it restarted it came up with a screen saying that the monitor was not being used in the correct resolution and MHz configuration. It gave the specs which I can’t remember right now.then it tells you to go to your computer to adjust. When doing the display settings in windows it didn’t have the option for that particular resolution the monitor was calling for. So I had to go into the advanced Display setting. That’s when I realized The computer was trying to run it in 59mhz and not 60mhz that the monitor required. So in the advanced drop down list I was able to choose the correct resolution and MHz combination the monitor wanted. Once I did that it fixed the screen blanking out issues and became perfectly crisp and clear like the rest. At that point I used the lg screen splitting software to adjust the picture to fine tune the contrast and brightness to my liking. (Lg doesn’t send the software with the monitor anymore I just know about it from when I bought the 29” model a few years ago. Takes a min to find but once you do and download it, it’s amazing if you want to split your screens and Unlock the true potential of these monitors. The monitors are great by themselves but that software is what really makes them great and that’s why I now have 6 of them!

Q: QuestionUnder the specs drop down it says it's a curved monitor but the pictures don't support that. Is it curved?

Q: QuestionI have a macbook pro 2015 which cable do I use to take advantage of the full wider screen? Doo I need an HDMI to Thunderbolt 2 cable? Thanks
Asked by Rich.
- A:Answer You need a Display port to HDMI adapter from Apple or an aftermarket one. You'll also want to download an aftermarket screen resolution app to get the screen to format properly, otherwise, everything will look "stretched"

Q: QuestionCan this monitor be used in a vertical display mode ?
Asked by Whit.
- A:Answer Yes! Especially if you download the lg screen splitting software. It used to come with the monitors in a disk but doesn’t anymore and they don’t even advertise it. It actually took a little digging to find the download online. But to me it’s the whole reason these monitors are so awesome. The features the software unlocks is amazing!

Q: QuestionCan this monitor be mounted on a wall mount arm?
Asked by Bullet.
- A:Answer Yes, depending on your mount. If you search any multi monitor desk mount system you will find the universal mounting specs. Just need to make sure your wall mount supports it. If your current mount doesn’t, there are plenty out there that do! I have 6 of these monitors and I have them all on either wall or adjustable multi monitor desk mounts. Need to be careful when looking for mounts, these are extra wide compared to most monitors so it’s tough to find multi screen mounts that will support the width of these monitors. But a single wall mount with an adjustable arm will be no problem finding.
