Excellent value and quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my new front loads!! Great value and is so quiet when running. Really cleans clothes well. Would buy again and recommend! Also purchased the pedestal as they raise to perfect height and provide great storage. Had to wait until pedestals went on sale but worth the wait

Great washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a great washer. Chose the washer due to a Consumer Reports article I had read and it has not disappointed. I was disappointed by the noise that was made as the machine filled. Come to find out it was the lines that were sold to us by the salewoman. SS lines were not the ticket.

Very nice washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer works well and I have had no issues with it. My only complaint at all would be that when it begins a wash cycle it is a bit noisy while it adjusts to the load size, but the majority of the cycles are very quiet. The clothes and other washables come out clean with most of the water spun out. This decreases the dryer time, too.

Shakes my house, clothes are clean. Trade off.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me preface this review with this: My house is a 2205 sq. ft. rambler with a floating floor, and is 4 years old. It was built by a very reputable, local builder. My wife really, really likes the look of the front loaders and wanted to make these work... When I had these delivered and installed, they put them together and left. Had they turn them on for me, I would have had them take them out of my house immediately. Load 1 (again, not balanced or leveled by the installers, just installed). - I put a smaller load of colors in the machine, started it up. BANG, BANG, BANG. OMG what is happening? My washer is broken. I balanced the load and started it up again. BANG, BANG, BANG. I decided to level the machine. I put a level on the front, back, and sides, and adjusted all the legs. It was perfectly level. I balanced the load (again) and started it up again. BANG, BANG, BANG. I immediately called Geek Squad to come out and fix whatever was going on. Geek Squad shows up 1 week later and spends over 3 hours (from 11:05 am - 2:40 pm) running the legs on the pedestals up and down trying to balance it. In the end, when it was "running in spec", my entire house was shaking. Not just hey, there's a small vibration, it was more like my wife in the master bedroom (all the way on the other side of the house) could hear / feel the vibration / shaking over the TV with the door closed. My pug didn't like it either. She was freaking out the entire time. I told the Geek Squad member that I was not happy and that I would have never have purchased these if I knew they vibrated so much. He said with my kind of flooring, that's just normal. They will vibrate "some". He said it's "running in spec" and left. Like, he turned around and just walked out of the door. So, I went to a buddies house that has some other LG Front Loaders, and they shook his house too. Apparently, he's OK with the vibration. I called my brother in law that has these exact models and he said his first floor shakes, but the upstairs doesn't. I don't understand how people can justify these machines if your house shakes? My 10 year old Whirlpool washing machine was way quieter than these. I just wanted to "upgrade" to some newer, higher efficient machines. I assume if you have a concrete floor, you would never have noticed the vibration unless you were in the laundry room watching the machine go. So, my advice is to watch some YouTube videos on these washing machines. Apparently the vibration is normal. If you can live with the vibration, then these might be for you. I am returning my LG front loaders and getting the LG High-Efficiency WaveForce Top Loaders. Hopefully, they give me better results for my kind of flooring...

Great for someone who is not used to doing laundry
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great waher and easy to use. It seems to steam after every wash regardless and I am not sure if it is real steam or the steam feature. Overall excellent washer and would purchase again because of overall experiene with Bestbuy.

Looks Pretty, Works Poorly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great looking washer with good features. I wish it worked as good as it looks. A typical small load of laundry overwhelms the motor causing it to continuously throw an error. This is a safety feature so the motor doesn't burn out. We bought it for efficiency; nothing is efficient about restarting your washer 4 times per load. I'm thankful that we purchased the Geek Squad Protection plan, I plan to call them soon. Also it's very noisy when "sensing the load" which it does first thing upon starting a load of laundry. Be careful when purchasing this model.

You'll need anti-vibration pads
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer vibrates excessively even though it supposedly has a "anti-vibration system". The first one delivered shook and wobbled during the wash cycle and vibrated the entire laundry room floor during rinse & spin cycles with occasional banging and knocking so loud it could be heard in the next room. We sent it back. The replacement is better, but nowhere near as quiet as the 10-year old Kenmore front load that we are replacing. With expensive anti-vibration pads under the pedestal feet (not sold by Best Buy), the shaking/vibration is now limited to the washer and not transferred to the adjacent dryer or floor. Our washer is mounted on a matching LG pedestal which seems cheaply made and probably contributes to the problem. Very disappointed and would not buy again, but may not return as reviews of other front load models are not much better. No issues with cleaning.

Great dryer, Quiet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works, it gets the clothes dry fast. It has a back exhaust, but a side exhaust can be used instead. I don't have any problems with it.

It's a nice washer.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the washer, but there's a learning process to using it. This is my first front loader. It's taken me a while to get used to it.

Buyer Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this washer in July 2013. Once a month since our purchase we have had a repairman come out to try and repair the problem. Yes, we have had EIGHT service calls since August 2013. None of the service people can identify the source or repair the problem. The washer intermittently leaks all over the floor from underneath the washer. I have pictures to prove our claim yet noone seems to care. No service after the sale here folks!

As noisy as plane, water in detergent compartment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it on clearance for 699$. Just had it for a few days. No complaint about cleaning but the noise is too much for a front loader. At the start of the cycle, there was a loud hissing sound. I guess there was a strong jet of water going through the detergent compartment. This continues throughout the washing cycle and the drum kinda wobble side to side. This might be due to the "turbo wash" but the noise is comparable to my top loader. I have to up the volume of my tv because of that. There was a lot of metallic "knocking" sound. At first I thought is was the jeans button knocking on the drum, but I have the same sound when washing the blankets. The sound continued through the washing cycle. The "hissing" sound also continue through out the washing cycle as well.I saw jets of water projecting around the door opening. The spin cycle is not that quite,it is similar to the top loader. And to add to that,it also has a loud whining sound, much like a Boeing taking off ,that I could swear i was in an airplane. At the end of the cycle, the was a chime that let me know the machine is done.I checked the detergent compartment and found out that there was a lot of water inside. Also the compartment might rub against the door if I pull it out too much.Overall, I'm not happy with it because the main reason i choose a front loader is that I want something quite while save some money on water. So,I'm off t find something else

Worst Consumer Experience - LG Leaking Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washing machine in May 2014 after reading many reviews, including Consumer Reports. After about 1 month of use, it began to leak from the bottom of the machine. It does not leak during every load and seems to only happen when there is a small load in the machine. I have had 5 service visits from LG and Sears. One of the Sears repairmen replaced the drain pump in July and it has begun to leak again. I called LG today to ask for some help in resolving this issue and after speaking to a consumer service rep, I was transferred to a manager. The manager told me that he would schedule another service visit. Since the leaks do not always happen, the service technicians will stare at the machine as it runs through a cycle and then tell me they do not know how to fix it. When I asked the manager what else could be done, he said nothing. When I asked him what I needed to do to prove that it leaks, he said nothing. I am a working mother with a young family and will now need to stay home from work again to let another service technician come into my house to stare at my machine and tell me he doesn't know how to fix it. The manager also reportedly has no other authority than to schedule service visits! When I purchase a washing machine, I expect it to last for about 10 years. I am not satisfied with having to clean up leaks and worry about the damage to the floor beneath the machine. I will never buy another LG appliance after this experience.

Leaks!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been reporting leaks and having people come out to fix it since January. We followed every tip about cleaning, not overloading, not using too much soap. Still leaks excessively and still not being replaced. I would not suggest buying a washer form LG.

Does NOT Clean clothes, Renamed "Wasting Machine"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gave away a 14 year old Whirlpool to "upgrade" to this LG extra-large capacity set this Christmas. The washing machine uses only a few gallons of water to wash clothes. It is not enough to uniformly wet the clothes and cannot seem to wash them properly. Forget about a large load. You can only put in a small handful and set the machine to Bulky/Large to get any laundry clean. There is no way to increase the water usage. Completely frustrated after spending around $2k and now have to deal with this junk !! How can it save money if you have to do more loads and re-wash. This machine is designed to look good and give a lot of efficient specs, but is useless as a washer. Avoid this LG if you have kids. It cannot clean clothes and forces you to use concentrated detergents. That means more chemicals in your clothes.
