    Great Steam W&D

I bought this washer and the matching dryer when they were on sale for $850 a piece, and I love them, they were the biggest front loading pair I saw and they are steam. I fit my queen size comforter in them no problem, they are both pretty quiet too, I have them in my kitchen and sometimes I can't even tell they are running. The delivery was fast and they were very helpful and best buy was great, they worked with me when I lived in Washington and ordered them but needed them shipped to Texas where I was moving too. The only downside is even small loads can take and hour to wash, but it does get everything clean.

    A real big washer

Very intuitive to operate, quiet, efficient. Don't care for the steam cycle, if sanitization is needed bleach does a better job. In reference to previous reviews: there is no front loader that does not get smelly when the door is closed after washing unless you do several loads a day. This one has a huge capacity, so you will have to run it less often.

    LOVE it!

I am SO impressed. REally love everything about it. The speed with which it washes, the many cycles, the quietness! Do have to deal with a mildewy smell if you don't leave the door open or wipe it down after washing for the day. But overall, who cares...I had the Whirlpool Calypso which was a miserably flawed failure and this washer is like MAGIC!

    Amazing washing machine

I absolutely love this washing machine, which is also high on Consumer Reports' list of approved or best front loading washing machines. This machine also meets criteria in my town for water conservation, in that I earned a rebate for buying and installing this machine. It is also supposed to be very energy efficient. I have not used all possible cycles, but those I have used have been really good. I bought this washing machine with a front load LG dryer paired and stacked to go into a converted closet to replace top loaders when I had some work done in the house. The end signal is a pleasant bit of music and not annoying at all.

This is a great washer with all the features you will need to do your laundry. The unit is extremely quiet. The stacking device was a great addition to both the washer and dryer. We now have ample workspace in our laundry room.

I love this washer. It cleans well and the vibration is not bad at all. I have seen some of the other reviews that complain about vibration or not enough water. They must have a bad machine of their machine is not levelled properly. Mine works great.

    Best washer ever!

I bought this washer about four years ago. I needed a washer that was great at working non-stop. I have a daughter with autism and she continuously spills stuff on the beds, clothes, you name it. I do about fifteen loads of laundry a week. This washer has been amazing. It has got every stain out, urine smells, vomit (disgusting, but true). As long as you pick the right setting, it will do what you want it to. The best option is, when a little ones sock gets lost through the side of the rim, it doesn't jam the machine and you have to pay $250 to have it removed and repaired. You simply know, when the washer says OE and it's not draining, pop the filter after draining all water out with hose and like magic, there's the sock you lost. No more calling for service or throwing out a nice washer. Hands down, the best washer ever. Never stop making this LG, it's a life saver for me. Thank you, Maryann F.

    Good performance, no problems

We've been using this machine for several months. Our usage is light (3 to 4 times per week). Although the Bay Area has relatively high humidity, we've had no problems with mildew or odor. We do dry the door and rubber gasket after each use, and leave door propped open using the magnetic door prop feature. Clothes come out clean and use very little soap and water. Only downside so far is that it makes a loud thumping noise at the beginning of the cycle, when it's gauging the load.

Although we had delivery issues with the washer through best buy, the product itself is great and has all the settings you'll ever need. Very large capacity to fit comforter and towels. Very quiet running. Has a steam cycle. Very aesthetically pleasing as well. Would definitely recommend.

Have had this washer for 3 months now and could not be happier. Before purchasing this washer I read tons of reviews and was very confused about what washer to buy. I finally pulled the trigger and bought this washer. We could not be happier with how clean our cloths are. Are whites are bright white and colors are bright. We are using less detergent thanks to the measuring line in the detergent fill.

Great washer, Steam cycle is very long.

So far so good. Although I had a big surprise on my first couple loads of laundry. I thought the Steam option would be great since it uses less water and electricity and would get the clothes a little cleaner. Using the steam option it was obvious there was less water use, but it took 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete the load of clothes. This was with the Turbo Wash selected too. I was afraid something was wrong, but when I did a normal wash without the Steam option it took only 35 minutes. It was a little disappointing the manual did not mention this. Other than that it is a great machine. It is also very easy to use.

The washer is solid, great design, durable and user controls are easy to navigate. Overall i like the washer. I purchased the metal braided water lines and found that they jerk severely when the tub is fulling. The washer doesn't just fill the tub, it fills it with short pulses of water. My thought is the water valves are ON or OFF and not progressive. So when the tub is filling you get the water lines behind the machine flexing between the wall and the machine. Drives me nuts! I have installed water line insulation tubes around the hoses to help limit the flexing. It has helped but can still hear the washer hoses jumping around during the filling process. It's a work in progress. Overall i love the LG units and would recommend to a friend.

This washer is a workhorse. I can't think of anything they left out on this model. We have children with allergies and it is great to have the steam options and well as a special allergian cycle. It is simple to use. The cost savings extend beyond the washer itself. Our savings will reach to our septic system-less in means less out, cost to pump water from our well, cost of detergent is more than cut in half. and time. I can get twice the laundry done in the same amount of time. Also I can now wash our comforters, quilts and blankets knowing they are going to get clean and spun out so they will dry in the dryer. I can't say enough good about this washer. If I would have opted for a pedestal or built one the drain plug would not be an issue. It isn't really an issue but being as low as it is, I find it a little bit of a challenge to be able to drain it fully when I clean out the lint filter. I do love the ability to drain it though and know that it is clean.

    LOVE THIS WASHER!

I learned to hate my old front-loader: Mildew around the rubber gasket, and the drain catcher was deep inside the washer and two years after losing my wedding ring, I discovered it while getting the washer serviced! I decided I was going to go back in time to the old-school top loader, but was so disappointed in the cleaning results and set up of that machine. Thanks to BEST BUY, I was able to return the top-loader within the 30-Day Warranty Period and exchanged it for this lovely front-loader. The manufacturers have made HUGE improvements in the new front-loaders! This machine has so many washing options and the detergent dispenser can be removed to clean and air-out, plus the drain catch is now accessible on the outside of the machine! I'm so happy with the ease of use and convenience of this washer. My son came home from college with all his dirty bedding and clothing and said this machine is like starting up a space ship! I also got it on sale! Gotta love BEST BUY!

I love this washer & the dryer that matches. For the value you can't beat it. I highly recommend the base drawer only to make the appliances more ergonomic for loading and unloading. If we didn't have those, the machines would be to short for me (I'm tall). I love the capacity and vast options for cycles. The only issue I have is with one bulky king sized comforter that we have. It does fit, but I have to make it work. Otherwise, everything else fits just fine. I wanted the larger 5.0 capacity washers.... but this option was 1/2 the price. Well worth it!

Cleans my clothes well. Cold wash is great with the right detergent. I suggest Tide Coldwater HE. It is great cleaning. I highly recommend getting oxy clean paks to boost cleaning performance. If you have a stain you must pretreat if not the garment will be clean but stain remains. I wish there was a setting for my gym clothes that was preset. Good performing washer, nice melody when washed is completed. I have no real complaints but just suggestions. I am satisfied with my purchase.
