    strange engineering?

I don't really understand why with a matching washer the front of the dryer doesn't sit flush with the washer - with the stacking kit provided the front of the dryer sits about an inch in front of the washer - and yet the washer detergent receptacle for the washer sits in the top left corner and was initially obstructed by the small leg of the dryer - a strange bit of engineering (I am not an engineer)- is there another bracket that can be used so the dryer does not sit so far forward? disappointing for an expensive/premium appliance that supposedly (?) rated well on consumer reports - the best buy installation guys say that's how it is (had a second guy come in) but am pretty sure it was not presented in the showroom like that (?) - pretty annoying really - plus the matching washer seems to thump a bit - more than the previous bosch definitely

I have only used this 24" dryer for one FULL load, so my thoughts may change, but here goes my initial impression. In short I am IMPRESSED. I purchased this at the same time I purchased the matching 24" washer. In short, if you want a small dryer that is energy efficient and does the job well, this will do it. Reading conflicting reviews and looking at manufacture information, I wondered if: - the tiny 6'x6' mechanical room the dryer is in would get humid. IT DID NOT. - the room temperature would change noticeably.IT DID NOT. - it would handle a FULL load (one queen size sheet set, two twin sheet sets, four pillow cases and a few clothing items) washer load. I had read that I should only put in a half washer load at a time. The queen bottom sheet was a little damp after drying it on the normal temperature, energy saving setting. I took every everything else out, put the sheet back in and after the sensor had calculated the approximate time remaining, it showed 1 minute left. I blamed my self for ignoring the directions on the one item not being quite as dry as the other items. - it would be quiet. It was quieter than I expected. - it would be slow. It was 25 minutes faster than our full sized Maytag washer and dryer using comparable settings, and also with full loads. Other: - The heat pump technology impressed me a lot. It works! - The self cleaning condenser is a nice feature. Recommendation: This dryer uses just a tiny bit of energy (3.3amp at 240V, if I remember right), yet it 'requires' a 30amp 240v outlet. I wish LG would sell a USA model that can plug into a standard 120V outlet. It would have saved me $150 for the electrician. Value: The initial price was almost $1200, but a sale brought the price down to a much more affordable $800. The five star 'value' rating is based on the price I paid.

Important to know this is a ventless dryer. That can be good for energy efficiency, but clothes do take a lot longer to dry. Lots of settings, in my opinion less is more...but it's small, energy efficient, and dries clothes in about 2 hours, so a good dryer.

So far so good. Quiet operations. Small footprint. I love the ventless design. Low energy consumption. Smaller size good for our small family. With the heat pump technology, drying time is twice as long as conventional units so if you’re a speed freak you may want to get a conventional unit. We have a small space so this works for ys

I've been very pleased with this ventless heat pump dryer. It comes with a condensate drain hose that feeds into the same drain pipe as the washing machine drain hose. It's super simple to install and use. It also frees up where in your house you put your dryer as it doesn't need to vent to the outside. As for the length of the drying time: I've been perfectly fine with the length. Items are often dry before the washer is done. HOWEVER, the dryer's time estimates are terrible. For example, it might estimate a 3 hour dry time for your items, but if you pause the dryer and check them at 40 minutes, they're completely dry already. So, I've just learned to pause the dryer and check things myself rather than relying on its timer. Also, just a tip, compared to a conventional vented dryer, you have to touch your clothes for a few seconds to determine if they're dry. When they're dry, If you just touch them quickly, you might think they're still damp, but if you wait a few seconds, you'll realize they're actually dry and what you thought was damp clothes was actually just moisture in the dryer air. Capacity: perfect for a 1-2 person household

This would receive a 5 star rating from me if the unit had been moved out of range of the vanity doors opening and shutting. to hide the unit and get to the unit better. (Not the fault of LG) I'm much too weak to move the unit. The washer/dryer unit takes getting used to with the various washing/drying options, but does a terrific job on cleaning. The more I learn, the better I am loving! Drying time is much longer, but is worth it due to being vent-less and not having lint going onto everything, even with a vent-less ceiling fan running. Holds more than I thought. Easily will wash queen size sheet set or blanket. Very impressive unit! I do wish the dryer door had been reversed when installed. If you're looking for a smaller washer/dryer don't hesitate in purchasing this combo.

Works well, and quiet. It does take about twice as long to dry loads though. Once you get use to that and don't need anything in a hurry, it's great. Fits good in small spaces and looks. good.

I have had this dryer for about 3 months. Yes, it does take longer to dry clothes. Yes, it is smaller capacity. But there are some reasons I am willing to make this trade-off. In this world where energy is becoming increasingly scarce and more expensive, This dryer uses about 1/3 the energy of a traditional electric dryer. On top of the 1/3 less energy, the dryer does not pump any air out of your house. A traditional dryer pumps air to the outside of your house. Any air pumped out of your house will result in an equal amount of air being sucked in to your house from doors, windows, and other cracks. Think about it. In the winter, you pay to heat the air inside your home, then your dryer takes that air that you paid to heat and pumps it outside, only to pull sub-freezing air into your home. Then, your furnace has to turn on to heat the cold air that was just sucked into your home, costing you more money. Once you understand this, it is hard to complain about the shortcomings of heat pump dryers. It is a trade-off I will gladly take!

Great dryer for APT if you have a 220v circuit. I live in an apartment where having a washer and dryer would be great, I purchased the matching set of these, made the washer able to hook up to my sink, and the dryer in my pantry. Works great and uses little electricity

It dries well and it is quiet. I’m not pleased with the programs. Thus four stars! The energy saver seems to me to be a waste! Who needs the dryer to dry a small load to be programmed for three hours! I really hate that, and it is not easy to change! All of the programs estimate too long a time. I use my kitchen timer to keep track of the time I estimate. This should be much easier to change. Otherwise it it a very good dryer for a ventless stack apartment size.

This dryer is a GREAT solution when you cannot plug the vent, or simply do not want to (like us). Less warmth in the environment and great way to dry clothes. Can even recycle the water. Lots of program options but for us, the 48-min cycle does the trick for most of our stuff, including heaby duty towels, sheets and larger items. Recommend!!!

So far very good, its being close to a week so I believed more time should pass to give a fair review, but so far I can tell it is an excellent equipment doing its work fine and savings a lot of money on power because of its consumption, some people said that it takes more time to dry the clothes, to me is reasonable time, because even the dial at first scare you giving you a big time to dry, it auto adjust as the clothes dry, so for example, a load one time said 2:40 yes, two hours and 40 minutes, but it ended up drying the clothes in 1:15, and it do it by itself, it senses the humidity and auto adjust the timer. Hey it is not the same 1:15 at ~600watts. that 1:15 at ~6,000 that is the average of a normal electric dryer, even less time, it will never compete with the savings. Off course maybe in your location the cost os KWH is reasonable but for us is very expensive, and for me specially that we have Solar as an energy option it works very well with it, contrary to the normal electric dryer.

I'm in love with this dryer! I have had a ventless washer/dryer combo in the past but this is far superior to it. The evaporated water is collected in a container that can easily be pulled out and emptied. The two piece filter is genius. It is quiet and it dries really well, I take my clothes out well before the time is up and they are dry. I have had no problems with wrinkles like my last ventless machine. The only drawback is you can't use all the functions unless it is linked to your phone which I am not inclined to do and I have difficulty reading the print on the machine.

Pros: for couples only, very small (compact) fits well in small spaces, easy to operate. Cons: can only handle small loads, takes 2x to 3x of an electric vented dryer to fully dry loads. Need to have a sink or inline adapter to drain condensation. Not suited for families.

We purchased this dryer almost 2 years ago now. You can set it up to drain to a sink, or into the container that gets emptied after each wash. The overall drying time is quite a bit longer than our regular vented dryer, but works really well for a small and enclosed space - especially if you're not able to vent to exterior. Knowing that this is also a small capacity dryer, this would be best for a tight space and small family.
