Love it, would buy again if needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this washer/dryer. We have 2 and love both of them, going on 3 years ownership now. Pros: - Great capacity - Wash and dry in the same session (don't need to remember to switch) - Vent-less - Excellent Cleaning Con: - Drain pump will go out often (1x) a year. We run them constantly everyday, so it may not go out as often if you use it less. (make sure you get Geek Squad repair warranty and they will fix if for free every time it goes out....otherwise its a fairly cheap part $20-$50) - Takes longer to dry....fine with us Keep in mind: With these types of washer/dryers they use steam. It will seem like your clothes aren't dry when you first open the machine to take them out. Take them out anyway, within 10 sec after removal with will dry right up. I see this common complaint with this kind of unit, i.e. "My clothes won't dry", truth is they do, it's just not what you're used to with a traditional US dryer.

Washing macxhines need to dry clothing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We're a household of two, so we don't have a lot of laundry, but you'll be running this sucker for a long time to get your wash done. It probably takes about 6-8 hours of drying time to actually dry the clothing. Everything is steamy within the dryer, it's not a very good product in general

Cleans well, gently on clothes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Knowing full well that this machine takes much longer to do a lot has a lot to do with the satisfaction you'll have with this appliance. My wife and I were intrigued by the machines we used in Europe recently and when our current w/d were wearing out we decided to try one of these combo units using condensing drying. it does take between 2.5 and 3.5 hours to do most loads. While you can't necessarily have a marathon Saturday where you do all your laundry it's not at all impossible to get several loads done in a day. Using the delay feature you can load it the night before and have clothes ready by morning followed by several more loads during the day. A bonus is you can put a load in and leave for several hours to return home to them being done. There's no transferring clothes from one machine to another. It also doesn't require a special plug or vent as you should already know by now. This can save on heating/cooling bills. Homes these days are being built tighter and tighter and using this machine will allow you not to have a 4 inch hole in the side of your house. Its water and electricity use is rather low, as well. Over a full cycle it generally uses less than 3 kilowatt hours compared to a conventional washer and dryer that might use upwards of 6-8. It also doesn't get as hot as a conventional dryer. This has its pluses and minuses. A major plus to me here is that the clothes aren't wearing as fast. Colors are staying longer and the fabric appears/feels less used. And it is true if you've read elsewhere that sometimes the clothes will feel slightly damp when the cycle is complete. If you remove the clothes right as the cycle ends i've found that the dampness leaves rather quickly as the cool. You could also get a small folding drying rack to temporarily hold the clothes while you're folding. In general everything comes out probably 95% dry or so and allowing the clothes to breathe for a minute tends to take the rest of the wetness out of them.

Excellent machine!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer/dryer is fantastic!!!! It is awesome to put the clothes in dry and return to a completely finished (dry) load. It is especially great for me as I have a disability which makes lifting heavy wet clothing very hard. I LOVE IT! I have NO problems with clothing being damp. Items come out absolutely dry, unless I set the machine to "damp". As far as the machine taking a very long time, it does take longer than regular machines but really not at all bad given that it does both processes. I will NEVER go back and wish I had made the switch years ago!

Not what I thought
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer/dryer combo works but since isn't vented your clothes aren't really warm at all after dried and are full of wrinkles.

Perfect for small space, small family / couple.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought with 15" LG pedestal for cramped condo laundry closet. My drain in 36" off of floor, have heard that drain height affects drying time/effectiveness. Works without issue 6 months and going, washing and drying. Washer is same as other LG washers with similar features. Issue for potential buyer is the adjustments needed to get most out of appliance (especially at high price), quirks of drying which are not a barrier for me. Drying takes longer depending on load size and type of material, and will never get bone dry out of the unit - different drying process. I use the following steps to wash. 1) Sort clothe for like material. Uneven results with mixed loads. 2) Smaller loads, generally do not go over recommended capacity. 3) Do not have set laundry day. I load at night or before work and let run (with fresh care setting to avoid wrinkles) - and put away later in AM or PM. 4) Wipe lint off of seal of unit. 5) Run unit every two months in clean drum mode. Works flawlessly for me and lifestyle.

Good for short term small living space
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a nice washer/dryer combo perfect for small living space. Don't expect this unit to have longevity. I highly recommend a 8+year warranty purchase, if you plan to keep the machine for a while. I like how you can wash and dry all in one and was perfect for my small apt that did not have an air vent. I purchased the 4year warranty plan and didn't renew. At 4 year and 7 months the control panel broke along with the latch. Very pricey to fix and could have bought a new basic washer for the repair price.

Nice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice. Works as advertised. Some have said the machine doesn’t dry very well. Not true. I actually had to decrease the drying time because my clothes were so hot and dry. The key is don’t overload it! It also runs very quiet. Couldn’t be happier. Delivery and installation was perfect and professional. Thank you Best Buy

fell in love with this machine very quickly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was extremely skeptical of this machine at first, but due to space issues in my condo, decided to try it out. i LOVE It. i haven't had the drying issues that some people mention, it takes about 2 -3 hours to complete a load from start to finish depending on size (which is about the same as my last set), and it dries the clothes completely within that time. my whites are brighter than they have ever been, and i love all the choices for the preset cycles. My favorite feature is the delay start. i set it so that it completes the load just after i wake up, or when i come home from work. Purchased with the pedestal, which makes it the perfect height and adds much needed storage space.

Wow this actually exists
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let me say $1900 after tax is a chunk of change BUT this machine is absolutely top-notch all the way. The separate washer and dryer machines that I was even considering started at $699 each. So you're at $1400 plus tax for both. Now imagine for less than $500 more you get to put in dirty clothes and remove fresh dry clean clothes. Plus having just one machine leaves all that space open where the other unit would go. I'm using mine as a tool bench. To each is own there. Then, you need to take into consideration the fact that you will, from time to time, miss the small window of transferring the wet clothes from the washer to the dryer and have to wash your load all over again to lose the moldy smell they gained from sitting. Everybody does it. Now you're using another cup of laundry detergent plus more water and time. That will never happen with the single unit setup. My laundry loads are completely finished in less than 3 hours; bone dry.

Nice paper weight.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product, when it works. I love being able to wash and dry in one machine and the space savings. But I've had to replace the cheaply built drain pump six times in three years. LG customer service just ignored me. Now the motor is locking out and the fix was supposed to be a sensor replacement however there was no sensor to replace. LG quickly replied and asked for photos, which I sent. That was over a week ago and two more times of me being told how important I am. Now, LG is silent again. No more LG products for me.

Build quality is good but otherwise no thanks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Negatives: Takes 6-9 hours to wash + dry 1 medium load of clothes. All types of laundry comes out extremely wrinkled. Takes forever to wash & dry clothes, wait did I already mention that? Has wayyy too many wash types and buttons. Come on LG make life good not life take forever and be difficult. Now the reason for 2 stars is LG definitely has very good build quality and this might be for some people, for example a college student with light laundry (just buy the smaller version) and or someone who for w/e reason can't run a dryer vent or fit a washer & dryer. I wanted to love it but ended up deciding to return it.

Washer was Fine-Dryer Side Left Much to Be Desired
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this product for a regular side by side sideload. The washer side was fine. The lint filter is the same as on the our replacement side load via the little door on the front left bottom of the machine. The dryer took FOREVER. I had clothes that line dried in the same room almost as fast as the dryer dried on extra high. It took 6 hours or more to dry a load. (No, that does not include wash time). If you want to do more than a load in a day, then this machine is not for you. The dryer is also recommended to only dry half the washer load. So, you will have to line dry the other half or wait six hours to put the other half in. Or, you can only wash at half capacity.

LG lacks support for this washer-dryer combo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this LG washer-dryer combo based on my having had good experience with LG in the past, in spite of mixed reviews about the efficiency of the unit and a tendency to leave clothes wrinkled. My review focuses on the near-lack of customer service that we received when the unit began acting up less than a year after our purchase. We were able to connect with LG support, but even though we're in Greater Atlanta, there apparently were no qualified repair folks available to service our machine. The last person who came out to look at it advised us to call LG and ask for a replacement motor, and he would install it for $150. I called LG and basically was ghosted when I made the request. We've made do with a laundry service since then, but tomorrow will be taking delivery of a GE washer-dryer combo. Hopefully we'll have better experience than we did with LG, if a support need arises.
