We will never buy an LG again. The bearings have all gone out after two years of normal use for a family of 5. Even better? No one can find the parts and all are back ordered for weeks to months. Unacceptable. LG couldn’t care less.

We were looking for a quick replacement for a washer purchased at Best Buy a few years ago which broke.

We've had this machine barely a week but I've noticed from the start that it's overall much quieter and efficient than our top loading 15-year old washer! Spin cycle is quiet though the initial fill-up can be noisy as other reviews have mentioned. Clothes come out clean and barely damp. Favorite features: Load sensing, magnet that keeps door barely ajar for airing out, and #1 it's HUGE to accommodate ALL our laundry!

I purchased this washer and the matching dryer almost two years ago and they both continue to work amazingly well. Best buy delivered it and set them up no problem. My clothes always come out clean and fresh and the steam setting is great for tough stains. It's easy to maintain and keep clean. This was my first time buying a washer and dryer and I absolutely love them!

I purchased this machine to replace an LG washer model# WM2077CW. My old machine would not turn so I tried to fix it by replacing the Hall sensor. The new sensor did not fix my particular problem, but I recommend trying it if your machine stops turning. Ok, this new washer - I don’t like it. I will admit, I am a bit change-adverse, but it’s very noisy. My husband asked, “Are you washing bricks?” The noise is from the violent off and on of the water. During the initial fill-up, the machine opens and closes the water intake multiple times, and for various lengths of time. Sometimes in a staccato of short bursts (think machine gun), others in long squeals with a harsh thud at the end. The programs are ok, but again, I like my old washer better. The short cycle on this new machine is only 15 minutes! I find it hard to believe anything can get clean in 15 minutes. I haven’t used that cycle yet, so maybe I need to give it a try. The regular cycles are easily set via the dial and with brightly light buttons so you can modified any cycle as desired. I love the custom cycle setting and already have it set to what I like. The cycles are longer then they were on my old machine, but I believe they increased the time to better balance the load. I watched the first few minutes of a regular cotton cycle and it spun the clothes several times before adding any water. I have the audio signal set as loud as possible, but still did not hear it. On my old machine, I could hear it very clearly while upstairs. The interior on the new machine is noticeably larger which is a definitely plus. A delayed start time is a new feature, but I am not sure when it would be needed. I am going to keep this machine because it does its job; it cleans our clothes. I don’t see any huge improvement there, but I was not expecting any. The rest of this review is about customer service issues and pedestal problems. The in-store associate was courteous and friendly. I cannot say much about his product knowledge, because I had already selected the washer I wanted so no selling was needed. I completed all the paperwork and paid for my purchase. After I left the store, I thought about the fact that my washer was on a pedestal and that I should have mentioned it, but forgot. This is where I feel Best Buy dropped the ball by not asking me about a pedestal - what kind I had or if I wanted a new one. I did not think about my pedestal again until delivery day, but figured an LG replacing an LG, it would fit fine. The two gentlemen who delivered my washer were courteous and friendly and did a good job. However, he told me I would need to get a new pedestal because my old one was attached with metal strips that get bent upon removal and cannot be reused. He said the newer pedestal models attach differently now and are better. I asked them to leave the old pedestal so I could use it for storage somewhere else. I started shopping for pedestals and found them to be $250 to $300. I was about to order a new pedestal until I found this: LG Pedestal Install Kit #AAA30793428. I bought it on eBay for less than $12 total ($5.24 plus 5.95 shipping). After a bit of physical labor by me & hubby, our new machine is safely and securely set upon the old pedestal. FYI: If you have Best Buy install your new machine, you will need to buy new water supply hoses. This is NOT optional. Cost was $30 for a pair of new stainless steel hoses. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of. Overall, my satisfaction with this washing machine definitely decreased from the actual day of purchase. Since I had to do my own pedestal research and installation and now having used the machine and found it to be noisy, I’m not sure I recommend buying it. My advice to you; research all do-it-yourself repairs first, then new washers, pedestals, accessories, and all options thoroughly before buying.
