I purchased this machine for the handwash cycle. Even though the handwash cycle seems gentle, all of my clothes have little balls all over them. I wash all clothes on the handwash cycle, wash them inside out, only wash a small load each wash and wash with the cold setting and nothing can stop the piling. I hang dry all of my clothes so I know the washing machine is the cause.

Unit has not worked properly sense we received it. Still trying to get it repaired.

Washes really well. Vibration and noise for a few seconds at the beginning of the spin cycle but only with large loads, which goes away. I assume this is due to uneven loads. The machine needs to be perfectly leveled on solid ground to reduce vibration and noise. Otherwise the noise level is ok...you can watch tv without even knowing the machine is running. The other thing I didn't like that much was the display is not easy to see ...we had to install brighter lights in the washroom which helped a bit. Overall I think its a great machine but does have little room for improvements. I would like to have absolutely no noise regardless of load size...but thats just me being a perfectionist.

I PAID FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THIS UNIT WHICH THE DELIVERY PERSONNEL REFUSED TO INSTALL. THEY STATED THAT LIABILITY ISSUES PREVENTED THEM FROM INSTALLING MY NEW PURCHASE. NEVER HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ACTION BEFORE. I'LL NEVER PURCHASE ANY APPLIANCES FROM THE COMPANY AGAIN.

Horrible washer. Had 2 of them from best buy. Neither one would stop shaking my house. The loudest washer I had ever had!!

Best Buy service man couldn’t fix it. Replacing with new one. It takes too long to get replaced.

We love the washer, but water leaked into drum when the machine was off. Replacement came and it to had same problem.

I used to have a top load Maytag washer for 12 to 13 years prior to the purchase of this machine. Although the Maytag worked fine it was old and I knew that a replacement will have to come soon. I made a study of the various washing machines in the market. Originally I was inclined to purchase another Maytag or a Whirlpool by the references reviewed. All my kitchen appliances are LG (refrigerator, range and microwave), I had them for more than 6 years. And with the exception of the ice maker of the fridge, which it's troublesome I have no regrets of these LG products. I was originally checking the machines on my study (not the LG one) at Best Buy and when I passed by this washer at the store I remembered that it also had good reviews. And I made an immediate decision to purchase this washer and forgot about the others that I previously passed review to purchase. Nevertheless I purchased an extended warranty package in case of any issues that could arise. I have had it almost 6 month and it has been excellent. Low water and energy consumption, low detergent consumption, multiple cycles to pick from, totally silent (sometimes we don't know is washing when it is), large capacity , leaves clothes clean, easy to use, it also allows to manage the temperature, soil cleaning and other functions within the cycles, that make it wash as you would want to. Very satisfied with this washing machine.

Product sucks DO NOT BUY! This does not get your clothes clean at all! Will not dissolve detergent! This is the worst piece of LG I have ever purchased

Not sure if it’s the terrible install or the machine itself but this is the loudest washer ever! The tub clanks every time it spins.

Started leaking after 4 months garbage parts. Do not buy

It hasn't even been 3 years and the drain pump has broken 2 times already.

Noisy and walked forward during washing, very heavy for me to push back.

When we bought our house we decided to finally update our washer and dryer. I was excited to get front loaders and we were looking for something very quiet. This fits the bill! We have owned these (this washer and the dryer) for 2 years and it's still amazing. We sleep with king size coverlets/coverlets and it easily washes everything perfectly. There is a lot of space inside and I also love the custom program setting. I'm so happy we went with LG and that the salesman helped us pick these! They are so quiet I can leave the laundry door open and not hear it when I'm in the kitchen - which is right next to the laundry room. I highly recommend LG for washers and dryers. :D

My Duet washer/dryer crapped out after 11 years of service. I've had the dryer for about 2 months now and things are working pretty well. Nothing to complain about. Easy to use, looks nice and relatively quiet.

washer surprisingly washes close way better than my last model which was LG There’s only one problem it’s a little difficult with the Alexa app. Everything runs great on it and smooth relatively quiet I really enjoy it my kids do there own laundry so they love it too we actually got a sidekick with ours and we put our underwear and bras in it so what gose to the dryer isn’t our delicates by accident

Great machine very quiet with lots of options for whatever your washing . Large drum to get things very clean . It's also a smart washer you can use your phone to operate it .

LG - friends told me not to buy. Glad I didn't Listen to them. Entering year #3 and going strong. Love It! Highly recommend

Very happy with this washer. It has a lot of settings and cleans clothing very well. I have this and the matching dryer stacked, they are a bit high, but work out very well.
