we bought a matching set this thing is the bomb my wife is extremely happy with it and the guys at pacific kitchen were also awesome

I purchased this washer and matching dryer after moving into a new place as it was the most comparable option to the LG washer/dryer in my last home (and I loved my previous LG washer/dryer). I deeply regret the decision to replace a functional washer/dryer as this new one has been nothing but a problem. The first washer I received had Styrofoam behind the drum so it would make horrible noises when spinning. The tech that came out to diagnose the noises also cracked my laundry pan when moving the machine to access the back panel to be able to remove the Styrofoam. Because I was still within the return period, I had that machine replaced with another of the same model because I didn't want to take chances that the Styrofoam might have caused internal issues or that something else was missed when it was assembled/shipped. While the replacement washer thankfully came without any unwanted 'extras' on the inside; this machine seems to be substantially louder (especially during the spin cycle) than any washer I've had previously. It is loud to the point where the dog (same one who thinks the vacuum cleaner is a fun toy and doesn't mind lightning/thunder, fireworks, etc) is afraid to be near the washer when it is running. I can easily hear this machine when I'm on the main floor (laundry is upstairs) and it shakes so much that even items left on top of the dryer will be thrown off and end up on the floor (I typically use the delicate wash cycle). Only positive is that clothes appear to be getting clean without excess wear/tear.

I have this washer in white. Purchased in September 2018. I bought my first set of LG's in 2005. The washer broke in 2018 so I replaced the set. This LG washer is horrible. The clothes are clean, but this washer rocks, shifts, shakes, sounds like the door is going to fly open. I bought rubber grippers for the feet. Still sounds like it's sliding across my floor. Which it did before the grippers. Turned enough that it dented the washer as it slammed against my wash tub. It should be able to handle two small bath rugs and a couple of towels. I did not put these on pedestals, as I did my first set. Maybe that makes a difference. I just feel the product itself is not made as well as it used to be. Very dissapointed, as I love LG. I don't bother setting the delay wash because I don't want the washer to be on if I'm not home in case it takes off. And it has done this since the installers delivered it. I have check to make sure it's level numerous times. That is not the issue. The machine is loud and I absolutely hate it.

I fell in love with these machines at the Best Buy store. They are so beautiful and had all the features I wanted. The salesman at the store asked me which way I wanted the doors to open which is very important to me. It is frustrating to have doors in the way when transferring wet clothes from washer to dryer. Only that is how the doors opened on this set when they were delivered. The installer kindly reversed the dryer door but that still left the washer door in the way. The washer door is not reversible and Best Buy NOW tells me that not only does LG not sell front loading washers that open from left to right--no one does. They tell me that all new construction puts washer connections on the left and dryer vents on the right. I find this hard to believe considering the last four houses I've lived in, including the one I bought new in 1992, were all set up for washer on the right/dryer on the left. Definitely something to check out before buying any front loading washer. I am having to send these back and replace them with a set that has a toploading washer. At least that will get the washer door out of the way. While waiting to have the new machines installed I have been using the LG's. The only other thing I found disappointing is that the washer doesn't spin loads as dry as machines I've used before so drying takes longer. The Samsung's I'm replacing them with are much plainer but still cost the same. I hope they are better machines.

Have used this unit for two weeks and will be returning it. I did a lot of research and this is a highly rated machine by consumer reports. The stacked units look great and I like the low profile square doors. I have it stacked on an upper floor. The dryer shakes and squeaks when the machine is getting up to and lowering spin. Also, I tried to wash a set of queen flannel sheets and the machine couldn't handle them on the bulky cycle. The washer is very quiet during the wash cycle. I like the Turbowash and Coldwash features. The gas dryer is louder than my old gas dryer when the flame is lit. I sounds like a blow torch. I have been to three Best Buy stores and this stacked unit has a dryer that shakes on all three stores on the display model. The other LG models don't shake so I'm not sure if is is a problem with this model specifically. The associates had no answers and can’t explain why this model shakes at all the stores. I’m not sure if is the LG stacking kit or something else. They recommended trying another LG model. I have limited depth so I really wanted this machine to work. Maybe I got a good price because there is a design defect?

I love this stackable washing machine and dryer. I have been having it for 3 years and it’s still running with zero issues.

If you are even considering buying this washer please read this review. I purchased this washer with the LG Sidekick and matching dryer set and it might be the worst purchase I have ever made. I am embarrassed to use my washer when I have company over. I have never in my entire life had a washer that makes so much noise. It squeaks, it rattles and it shakes. Don’t even waste your time with LG CUSTOMER SERVICE unless you have endless hours to stay on hold. They will not replace your washer and they don’t care about you. I have purchased over $5000 with LG and I will never in my life purchase anything from the again. They don’t care about you they only care about the money they make. If you want to hear how your future purchase will sound I will gladly send you a video of my washer. Purchase a Samsung washer. Do NOT buy this washer you will regret it. I am so disappointed in LG. I am disappointed in not only their product but their customer service. They do NOT care about you.

I have had high-end (Bosche) and low-end (GE and Sears) washing machines. I put this in the high-end category because of its price, but it is very low end in terms of functionality. Multiple programs, pretty lights, and a catchy jingle are meaningless if the washing machine does not clean clothes. This machine does not do anything more than the most generic washing machine. Case in point, I just washed a white sheet on to which I spilled a mocha (coffee, milk, chocolate). Within 24 hours, the sheet went through the steam wash (a nearly three-hour cycle) with bleach and a good laundry soap, yet the spots are still quite visible. The lower-end machine this one replaced (a GE front load that broke) was able to easily tackle these kinds of stains without any fancy, three-hour steam cycle. I am literally shocked that a simple, organic stain is still present after a steam cycle and bleach. Having spilled my fair share of mochas in the past, I can attest that this one is a simple stain to remove. You have been warned.

Lasted 4 yrs Shaking so much I though it would leave the floor wlhile making loud knocking noise very poor design.. no help from Best buy

It is extremely loud when spinning. It doesn’t spin correctly and LG does nothing. They say-more than five items. Then, they say your house is uneven. They came and nothing. No help. I barely use mine because it is only two of us, but 2 years in and it won’t spin. Not surprised with this washer’s spin now not working at all. LG has had some great front loaders, but this model is faulty. Just google it.

Sad that only after 4 years, it sprang a leak. Otherwise, has been a nice washer.

We are on our second LG washer and this is one is worse than the first one, with a load of sheets this thing shakes very bad. We replaced our old LG washer and dryer with this and we are very disappointed with this price of junk.

I bought this washing machine to replace my kenmore. My kenmore wasn't broken but was older and seemed to excessively shake my house once we moved. My laundry is now on the 2nd floor. I followed consumer reports and purchased this unit in 2019. I am on my 3rd repair. The water pump has broken now for the 3rd time. Thank goodness I purchased the extended plan. This unit has shaken my house just as bad as the Kenmore. The only time it did not was the first 5 washes after the 2nd repair. I am hoping the lemon law will get me a different unit. I would not purchase this again. We also have a LG dishwasher that is broken. I am waiting for my Maytad dishwasher to arrive. I am not impressed with the LG brand. I do not recommend this unit. I didn't feel the clothes were any cleaner than my kenmore. I still have my kemore dryer from 2004!

I bought a LG front load washer from Best Buy. Worst washer I have ever used. I’ve have many kinds of washers and this is but far the worst one. I paid over $1000 for it. Now let me tell you why It’s the worst. 1. You have to drain it every week or it will break. 2. They say You need to buy high efficiency detergent but it still foams up inside and breaks. 3. It takes over an hour to wash even if it’s telling you you got 25 min. 4. It randomly stops working, pops up random error codes, or leaks water EVEN if you are doing everything by the book. Maintaining everything using the correct detergent I mean everything and still it breaks. I have talked with over 50 people that have this washer and 75% of them have the same issue. I have contacted Best Buy multiple times and the representatives were rude, disrespectful and pushing me to by the geek squad when the geek squad doesn’t cover anything. Guys save the trouble and don’t buy anything from LG or Best Buy. I will not be purchasing anything from BB nor LG.

Bought this washer to replace older LG that lasted over 12 years. Within 2 weeks there was a leak. Was repaired at no charge so didn't make a big deal of it. Now, 2 years after purchasing it, it started making a LOUD noise like a jet engine during the spin cycle. Repair person came out and said it's the rear bearing, that it's attached to the drum, and will cost more to fix ($1400) than buying a new one. So, after paying $85 for a service call, I now have to go buy a new washer after 2 years. Terrible!

Washing machine has been leaking since it was new, they can't seem to fix it, technicians can't figure out where water is leaking from..

An older version of this washing machine generally worked great, but at 2 years it failed catastrophically and flooded my house. It overfilled and the overfill protection didn't work
