Great, with a few issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you plan to stack your LG washer, buyer beware. I had Best Buy over to install my washer and dryer and the LG stacking kit had holes that didn't line up with any on the washer. This did not make sense because there is only one stacking kit for the LG. Long story short, after lots of internet research, I discovered my washer did not have the pre-drilled holes on the back that you screw the stacking kit into. This seemed so absurd that I took pictures and brought them to the store. The employee and I looked at the back of the washer on the floor and, lo and behold, it had the holes. He ordered a replacement for the washer. Guess what? The second one was missing holes too!! The delivery people said this has happened before. So if you want to stack it, please check for predrilled holes right away (they are on the very top to the far left and far right on the back side). And if yours doesn't have holes, no, you're not crazy. This was a huge headache for me. The fact that two defective washers in a row were delivered to me made me a bit wary of LG. But I've had my washer for a few weeks now and I really love it. It's pretty quiet for the most part. It can get really loud at certain stages (not long) of rinsing and spinning because my dryer bounces like crazy, but that could be related to the whole stacking kit disaster. I ended up packing some cardboard boxes on each side of the washer and dryer inside my closet as a buffer and that has helped. It's a very "smart" appliance - it senses the weight of your load and how much water is needed; you can't beat the efficiency. There are all kinds of options for how to wash - but if you just want the basics it's not hard to learn. The spin power is incredible - when the cycle is done the clothes are practically dry. There's a large capacity so you can wash a ton of clothes. It has an adorable jingle at the end of the cycle (which you can turn off if you want). One feature I really like is that there's a magnet on the door, so after a cycle the magnet will hold the door ajar so the tub can dry out. Prior to this washer I had a laundry center, so this is my first front loader. If you're new to it too there are a few noteworthy things you'll need to know: 1. You have to use high efficiency detergent. 2. You need to use laundry nets for your small items (underwear, socks, etc.) especially ones with hooks so they don't damage the door seal. 3. You need to wipe down the door seal and the inside of the door after every wash. The door seal traps moisture and sometimes little threads and such from clothing, so just have a cloth on hand to wipe it down. No big deal. I'm enjoying my fancy new washer. Just check for those holes if you want to stack it!

Expect it to break soon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New, and the door is loose. The hinge assembly is loose, even though all the screws are tightened down. Everything "works" and the clothes are cleaned. But, the machine appears of poor quality.

Great Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, I ruminated over front or top load for months and finally went front load as I used a Friend's Whirlpool and was sooo impressed. Here's the skinny: Pros: Uses MUCH less water & Detergent. BIG Savings! Can wash pillows, comforters blanky etc with ease Even heavy loads clean well Very Quiet and fast Delicate cycle works well and gentle Spin Only is great for towels Door has a stopper to prevent closing and allows air in to dry seals & drum Controls are user friendly once you get the hang of it. Cons: Water remains in the bottom of the rubber door seal & detergent drawer. This is annoying & disappointing for this kind of $$$. You have to empty the drawer and wipe the seal & door. LG should come up with a warranty fix for both. Without a stand it can be a lumbar strain to empty the drum with wet laundry. Lots of lights & buttons to learn and some cycles can't be modified. LG Customer Service phone wait times are WAY too long. I gave up and called Best Buy about the above water issue.

review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very satisfied with the function of this washer even after these years. I dinged it to a 4 star because the lettering comes off if exposed to some laundry soap. ????? When I called LG about this a number of years ago they weren't very helpful and appeared not to care. Be careful and do not spill any soap or additives near the lettering.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good washer, I’ve had it for over a year, it cleans all my clothes, comforters and sheets really well, I do leave it open to dry out and once a month run a cycle with bleach just for a good tub clean

The worse washer, but worse service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased an LG washing machine 7/28/17. Top loading, very deep model. It never seemed to wash with enough water. On June 22, 2018 the inside tub broke off and wouldn't spin and we contacted LG directly because it was still under warranty. They said a repairman would contact us. We finally saw one on 6/28/18. He said we needed a part that they would order and it would take 3-5 business days. We called LG again on 7/5 and 7/6 and were told that there was no record of a part order being placed. Cone Appliance got on the phone at one point and said that LG could not identify the right part number, but they were working on it and they would call us back. They never did of course. It is now Monday, 7/9. My husband is on the phone with LG who still has no record of a part order placed and is trying to find a different repair service. Things break. I get it it. (Maybe not before a year is up.) The proof in the pudding is customer service from the manufacturer and whether or not they take care of customers. My advice is run far, far away from LG washing machines.

King comforter does not fit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this oversize capacity washer specifically to clean a king size comforter. Not a dense or plush comforter, just a comforter. It does not fit.

loved it for the first year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we have had our LG for 5 years. I loved the machine for the first year or so, then started seeing mold around the rubber in the front. The mold has continued to get worse. Also or the past year or so, every now it will not spin, an error code will flash and the machine will shut down. we would drain the tub through the tube in the bottom and try it again, usually after repeating this cycle 4 or 5 times it will start working again. Now, nothing we do will get it working again, so here we are 5 years with the washer, buying a new one. Now the mold is really bad around the rubber rim also. and there was no luck in finding a repairman in our area to come look at it.
