This product washes clothes well, is energy efficient and uses much less water than top-open washers. Has enough wash cycle choices for almost any need. HOWEVER, I give it only 2 stars because much of the printing on the front of the unit which identifies the cycle choices came off within a year. Very frustrating to use after that. Had to download a blowup of the washer front to make use possible. This is a common complaint and is not covered by the warranty. I have never had this happen with previous washers and dryers we have owned. I cannot recommend this unit or any of the several LG washers similar to it.

Our new LG washer broke within one week. One of the internal "paddles/beaters" came off. It looks as if it was meant to be secured by screws that were never put in place. I called Best Buy and explained very clearly that the washer needed a repair. They scheduled a service call but sent out installers instead of a repair person. We had to schedule a new visit that was now two weeks out from the day the washer broke. In the mean time the washer ripped a hole in one of my wife's tops. My guess is that the washer will be fine but I am unimpressed with Best Buy.

Bought/installed this LG washer. Worse part of it, every time a valve opens/shuts there’s a loud bang and water hammer reaction. I know this isn’t good for the plumbing. Intslked water hammer arrestors and it seemed to take care of the problem. Still, not sure this is a good setup and it was an expense and hassle to fix. Secondarily, I gave never gotten used to the settings and buttons, even after more than a year. Don’t seem to intuitive. Off somehow. Third, lightweight doors on both washer and dryer. I like substantial. Just my preference here.

Within the first year.. theres this wrror message on the display that its a draining issue. We follow the steps to fix that.. first time it works .. second time no luck.

I don't think any of these reviewers have owned this for very long. We always air dry and wipe down the door area between washes. Didn't matter. Doesn't take too long for mold to build up and become ridiculous right in that rubber seal of the door. If you love mold, this is the washer for you!

My last LG lasted 4 years then the electronics fried. I bought another LG washing machine to replaced the old one but after only 16 months, it started shaking violently. 4 months after the warranty!!! My very first washing machine was a Whirlpool that lasted 10 years and it was the Washer I inherited from the previous owner of the house. I work hard for my money and it’s a clear choice what I am going to buy next.

I hate this machine! A load that normally took 20 minutes in the old machine, is taking longer than 1.5 hours. Why? It does not rinse the garments, wash cycles--even the shortest--are way too long. I used liquid detergent and filled it up to Normal level, yet it's taking hours and lots of energy and water and my time to get rid of the soap. I miss my old 25 year old machine. Bought this to be energy and water conserving!

This washing machine is very noisy throughout the entire cycle and then ends the cycle with several beeps. Its much quieter at a laundry mat with all the machines running. I would not recommend this machine .

My LG frontload washer needs to be replaced after only 3.5 years of lite to moderate use. Don't waste your money.

Regret this purchase, replaced both water pumps while under warranty only to fail again.
