If a 10 was possible, that is what i would give this all in on combo washer/dryer.
When my washer and dryer went out, i started researching combo machines. Because my system had been vented to my garage..yuck! This machine being ventless was the ticket.
It is really great to not have to move wet cloths from one machine to another. Love the 1 and done with a load.
The down side would be that you need a well vented location..which we have.
I have read rhe reviews that it takes forever to dry, i have not had that issue at all. You can dry with what come with the setting or you can add time if the load is large than it should be.
I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

I purchased my 1st LG All-In-One in 2005. I thought it was the best invention ever, yet they have managed to improve it. This model is even quieter and the steam dryer is to die for! Everything comes out wrinkle free. Yes, it takes longer than a conventional washer & dryer, but this gives you the convenience of never having to transfer the wash to the dryer. The app is amazing. It allows you to start the wash remotely and texts you when it has been completed. Even my 23 year old is enamored with it. I recommend getting the base so you don't have to bend over to load/unload. I will never go back to a separate washer and dryer.

The great combo unit however after drying clothes for two hours and 45 minutes on normal cycle, because it’s a ventless dryer it leaves a lot of lint and specially around the door gasket. So you have to manually clean that door gasket after each load.
Otherwise it’s a great unit.
Don’t forget to do regular maintenance every 2 month on the unit and clean your door gasket with Clorox or white vinegar.

I bought this to use in our vacation home. We are limited on space so having a single unit to do both washing and drying was appealing. I haven't used it much but it does work work well. It does take time to do both cycles so that takes a little getting used to. Im used to drying while washing another load and you obviously cant do that here. Also make sure you wash the same type of clothes together. if you are doing clothes don't mix in towels. Towels take longer to dry.

The manual does not have specifications for the dryer. the dryer is more complicated to use since it dries according to the type of clothes.

I'm really now living doing laundry. This machine it's been working flawlessly. I just have to say that if you follow the instructions, you will be really please with it. I was concerned about maybe not drying really well, but I found out that it all depends on how much load you put in it. If you want your clothes to come out completely dry, then make sure the drum is halfway full, so that way the clothes have some space to move around during the drying cycle. I also wish that the instruction that come with it where more clear on how to set up the drying functions and also explainin all the special features on the panel. I was able to find a full manual online where everything is explained in detail. I also got the sidekick washer to go with it and it's the perfect combination.

This is a great piece of machinery! I do find it irksome that one has to remember to press dry if you want to wash and dry a load. Also there are some settings when selected that pressing dry does not work. Reading comments - I have not experienced any smells coming from the machine. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Much happier than we were with the last combination washer/dryer. It is faster doing loads, little vibration and more quiet, and easy functionality. If you’re looking to save space, these models have improved since their initial release.

As expected, the "dry" function results in slightly damp feeling clothes and even taking clothes out right after the machine stops results in heavy wrinkles. That said, we expected that and use a regular dryer to finish the things that we don't want to iron, but don't want to have heavy wrinkles. Some things are just fine using the dry cycle alone. Overall, it does what it was expected to and is a great saving in time, power and water.

Really happy with this combo unit. We replaced our old washing machine with this and kept our dryer. Now we have the option to wash and dry in two different machines or we can wash and dry in this lg. People complained about the dry function taking so long and they are correct, it takes a very long time to dry. We use the dry function when we are in no rush. We will put clothes in at night and they will be washed and dried by morning. The only problem that I have found is that the dried clothes will have lint at times. A normal drier will pull that lint out but this unit doesn't. Something else that could be better is the manual, it doesn't do a very good job at describing the different modes and functions. For example, I couldn't find how to run just the dry function. To do that press the power button and then the dry button that is on the display. Press the dry button until you have the option desired and then press start. Turbo dry left the clothes steamy so i wouldnt recommend that unless you are looking for clothes that are nearly dry.

Worst Appliance Ive Ever Owned

First unit leaked immediately and had to be replaced. Second unit evenually leaked in multiple places (front and back). Heat pump went out after 2 years. No lint trap which means the lint collects all across the rubber gasket on the front and your clothing. You have to physically get down and wipe all of the lint out of every crevice of the rubber gasket. There is nothing preventing the lint from reaching the heat pump which I assume is why the heat pump went out as quick as it did. There is no way to customize and save the cycles you want. There is no option for no heat drying. It runs very hot and can ruin clothing. The entire product is poorly designed and built to fail so you can buy a new one. The remainder of my LG products have been great. This one is a complete failure and should be removed from the market and customers refunded.

Hi, Gaymer. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Washer (WM3998HBA) model. We understand your concern about dealing with multiple issues, especially when it comes to leaks, the heat pump failure, and the lint buildup. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations. We would like to assist you with a few troubleshooting steps to help prevent further issues: To minimize lint accumulation around the rubber gasket, we recommend cleaning it after every use. A small, soft cloth or sponge can help wipe away lint, which will prevent it from getting into the heat pump and other parts of the unit. For any ongoing leaks, please ensure that the hose connections are properly tightened, and there are no kinks in the water lines. Additionally, check the door seal to ensure it is intact and free from any debris or damage. We understand the lack of heat customization may be a concern. Unfortunately, the no-heat drying option isn't available, but we recommend using lower drying temperature settings or air-dry cycles to prevent clothing from becoming too hot and potentially damaged.
Given the serious nature of the heat pump failure and the ongoing issues, we recommend reaching out to our support team to explore repair or replacement options under warranty.
Please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to assist you in resolving these concerns. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we’re here to support you. ^Juvy

I have had nothing but problems with this machine. Ive had the blower and computer board both replaced twice. They want me to get the drum replaced because the spin cycle makes it walk around now. Almost every geek squad person has never even heard of this type of washer dryer combo so they have to go to YouTube to try and fix it. Im tired of this. I havent been able to use it in two months because they have to get parts for it and i juat want a new machine, not a replacement of the same thing, just a regular washer and a regular dryer. Oh and when it was working, a small load (2 jeans, 2 shirts, a couple sets of undergarments and a washcloth) takes 5 hours to get washed and dried. It also leaks no mater how often I clean it (I cleaned the glass and the rubber gasket after every wash. And I cleaned out the water lint trap thing after every fifth wash) Its not worth it. Im done. I even got the 5 year protection plan. Still would never get this thing again
