So happy with LG ! Great working and reliable washer and dryer! Would buy again!

I was in need of a washing machine and on a somewhat tight budget. After shopping several big box home improvement retailers I went to Best Buy and discovered this very fairly priced “open box” washer. At the item’s price point I was willing to put up with a small crack in the plastic by the control panel as it was cosmetic in nature. I took pictures of the washer from every angle while in the store and was very satisfied that the only blemish was the small crack previously mentioned. Since it was a washing machine and on the heavy side I opted for the free delivery to get it to my house. That was probably a mistake as it was explained to me that from my local Best Buy they ship the washer to an out of state distribution center to be loaded back onto a truck to then be delivered to me. Somewhere along the way the washer picked up more damage than the initial small crack as it arrived to me with a new dent on the side of it. The day it was delivered I went back to the Best Buy where it was purchased to show them the before and after pictures of my purchase and to express my displeasure with the rough handling of my washer and they proceeded to do…..absolutely nothing. Nothing. A price adjustment? No. A gift card? No. An apology? No. The only thing that they offered me was that I could return it to the store, which I declined to do. The moral of this is that if you buy an open box appliance and you want to receive it in the same condition as when you purchased it bring it home that day if you are able because if not you run the risk of what happened to me. If you opt for “free delivery” just know that your item may be subject to more damage than you intend as they clearly do not handle open box with any measure of care. I am not at all happy with BB and will most likely not be purchasing anything from them in the future because of this incident. We had just purchased a beautiful TV from them and we are in the market for another but it won’t be from them. PS—-The washer runs fine. Not as many settings as my old machine but definitely does the job. The one star is because of BB handling of this issue.
