After our previous great experience with a LG washer (10 years) we decided to get a new one when we moved. We have not been disappointed at all. The feature set is something to behold ! Cycles seem to run faster than on the old washer and I find that I'm using less detergent as well. Having WiFi capability is just pure awesome. Plus the 10 year warranty on the Direct Drive made this a no brainer purchase.

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made…this LG washer & dryer set are phenomenal. Quiet, more efficient than I realized they would be and priced right. So happy with this purchase!

This LG washer replaced my previous LG front loader. I was going to go back to a top loader and different brand due to the smell these have. LG got so many high reviews I decided to stick with them and with a front loader. It was also the best match to my LG dryer. I love the ease of use. Let's hope the new model doesn't have the smell issues as the earlier models.

Rated High by others, this washer is the best. Clothes are washed quickly and very well. Controls are easy to use and we are very satisfied with our purchase. The Best Buy delivery team of Felix and Austin were excellent, very professional, courteous and explained everything well. Thank you!

Very happy with the washing machine! Replaced an old Maytag top loader. Plenty of features. Quiet and efficient. Easy to see through the window during rinse cycles if you have added too much detergent, and you may select up to three additional rinse cycles to make sure you're getting the soap out.

Best washer brand! My old one lasted over 16 years. Has turbo wash option for faster cleaning. Has large capacity and a variety of cycles. You can even download other cycles

I found the washer was power efficient when running, much lower then our old washer. However when it is off it still draws 0.6Watts all the time. I thought the energy star requirement would have been the same for washers as products like TVs. LG and Samsung TV's have a off power usage of about 0.1 Watt as an example. I will say the matching dryer only uses 0.1Watt in standby.
The good. The washer seems to really dry out cloth and the super high spin speed. The the cloth will dry in like 15 minutes only in the dryer, That feature is nice.
The bad. The manual that comes with the unit does not explain many of the feature/settings and does not cover much at all and it poor written. I found I need to go to the web and find a manual that explained the feature and how to turn off and on features. As an example it was a bit hard to find that you need to hold the spin panel button down for at least 3 second to force the washer to do a spin cycle without doing a rinse too. There are other features not explain in the paper manual that comes with the unit that are only in the web manual.

I bought this washing machine based on Consumer Reports and other reviews. Apparently its one of the best models out there. So far I like it and it works well. The app works really well and provides a lot of information and helps monitor for problems or maintenence.
The only issue that I've noticed is that you have to be careful washing bedding and towels. If you wash too much and overload the machine it won't finish the spin cycle. My previous front loader didnt have that issue. Overall thats a minor thing, and easy to avoid.

The app is wonderful! You're paying a bit of a premium to hook it up to your phone, but having that push notification to know when the washer is done so it eliminates the guessing game is fantastic. This washer is quite heavy, and it was a challenge to bring it down my basement stairs. However, wonderful product, clothes are clean on round 1, spin cycle gets them very dry as well.
