Fantastic washer and dry combo. Several wash cycles to choose from for all your needs and the dryer has a steam dry function great for refreshing a shirt with wrinkles for those like me who forget to put stuff away!

    Already damaged

STAY AWAY! Less than 6 months in and there is already damage to the door gasket. LG refuses to repair under warranty. We are not washing knives, or dragging razor blades out with the clothes, and yet we are now left with a leaking, broken washer that cost $800 and will now cost another $200+ to fix. I've had front load washers before and have never had this happen. Absolute garbage.

Broke @ 18 Months, Repair Costs More Than New One!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I learned a lot. Just replace seals & bearing, YT vids say. No, LG took care of that: the part that corrodes and breaks, every time, is the aluminum spinner aka spider. Before this model it could be replaced, but now it cannot, the outer drum is cemented instead of bolted. To fix, replace the assembly: $679+shp+tax parts alone! It lasted only 18 months…this is Anti-American!!

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience and the lessons you have learned. It is disappointing to hear that you had to replace seals and bearings only to discover a more significant issue with the aluminum spinner. We understand your frustration with the design change that makes it difficult to replace the part, leading to a costly replacement of the entire assembly. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Your feedback is valuable, and we will ensure it is passed on to the relevant teams for improvement. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this situation. Thank you for expressing your concerns, and we are sorry for the anti-American sentiment you feel regarding this issue. Please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris LG

This thing has beat every expectation. I picked this model based off Consumer Reports, high rated for our use. We have two large shedding dogs, and I'm outdoors a lot so lots of muddy clothes. Eats through everything silently and then politely chimes that it's ready for more. Haven't used the WiFi or smart learning much, yet- but I'm sure those features are on par with the physical labor this unit outputs.

Happy with new LG front load washer

I bought this despite family members throwing hate at front load washers. My 18 year old top loading Whirlpool washer and dryer were going to outlive me and I wanted new. The LG models won due to high user satisfaction. What I mostly notice after the change is the increased capacity, reduced water usage, and reduced detergent usage. It's very easy to wipe down the gasket when finished and I dry out the soap area too. The door remains just slightly propped open (if you want) and is held there magnetically. Clothes come out clean, there is no noticeable difference from my old agitator machine. The wireless app is novel silliness and for me there was no need to spend any additional money on a pedestal.

    Fantastic Washer. App unavailable?

We got this during a recent sale, and can't say enough about the washer itself. Installation and set up was a breeze. We haven't used all the features yet, but the quick wash is perfect for freshening up garments. The spin cycle leaves clothes practically dry, which will further increase our energy savings. We have been able to wash our king-sized comforter in the machine, and the extra capacity helps to avoid spending all day washing smaller loads. The only complaint I have is with LG and their Thinq app. Our Samsung A10e phones apparently don't have the firepower to run the app? What in the world is so complex about the app? My wife installed it on her (older, to us) phone, and all it does is report washing status, advise when you need to clean components and the like. The app seems to be useful, but the developers disappointed me with the lack of compatibility.

Literally asked Best Buy staff which washer and dryer they would purchase if they had to buy a set in the store and this was the recommended one. Looks great and it was within our budget so we trusted our professional Best Buy representative and bought the set. They arrived the time we scheduled it for and installed it no problem. The washer and dryer works efficiently and also has many useless functions, but it gets the job done well. Shout out to Timmy, he was patient and walked us through all the details!

The 5 stars is for Best Buy. We bought this dryer a year ago, it died. After a terrible experience with LG customer service we gave up. Best Buy picked up with the most awesome best buy warranty and replaced the dryer. Think long and hard before entering into a relationship with LG. It was frustrating and disapointing, terrible customer servive, the worst I have ever experienced.

Only had it about 6 weeks but so far it's working well. It has a large capacity. The spin cycle is great and gets most of the water out. Clothes actually get stuck to the drum because it spins so well. It's nice that it can tell you when it's done so wet clothes don't sit because you forgot them.

I like how clean my clothes are and the cute little tune when it’s finished washing. I love all the options this washer has like choosing spin speed for example. I do wish that it has a light inside the washer though To sum it all up would be the great cleaning for anything I want to wash.

We purchased this washer (together with the matching dryer) to replace our old washer/dryer combo (10+ years old). We never used a front-loading washer but decided to give it a try. This washer is very quiet, efficient, and versatile with different modes. The difference in water efficiency between old and new washer is night and day. The permanent press cycle (both washer and dryer) works excellent for dress shirts. This is neither the cheapest nor luxurious model from LG. It seems to be a very good option for anyone who are seeking for a balance between price and quality.
