Install not worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't used the washer yet as the drain pipe is too short. I replaced a Kenmore that had a long enough pipe. Don't know why LG's is so short. I have to get a pipe extender. I also bought a dryer. The install wasn't worth it. I was upcharged $130 for water hammer devices. No mention needing them by Best Buy. They also only put them on the washer and not on the dryer. The install was them just getting it done as quickly as possible without any care to quality. All the hoses are twisted where they could have been installed neatly. One of them pretty badly. I would have never left it like that. The dryer vent pipe was taped on. I used screws on the previous dryer. So after paying a bunch of money for the install, I'll have to fix it up.

It keeps breaking my clothes. For the grand finale on the "delicates" setting this piece of trash steams clothing ending in a nice hot soak for delicate clothing. In fact, it does this grand gesture on ALL of the settings. I don't want to have to download yet another app. When I did it for this hunk of metal, there seems to be no way to actually connect this app to the junk. I'll have to call tech support to get the most basic necessity out of this "advanced" washer. Also, there is no "spin only". You can try pressing the button that says so - it will rinse, dry, and ahhh yes, another steam. What's absolutely baffling is that there is the option to steam. On some settings, it turns on and others not.. yet it won't matter because it still steams regardless if the signal is illuminated. This machine is actually useless. I genuinely miss the "old" one I had before this downgrade.

LG’s new appliances and customer support since then have went down hill, bottom of ocean, nonexistent. Bought this washer March 2, delivered March 11, and broke March 18. It will be 2 weeks and hopefully it will get repaired. Drain pump failed and they sent a tech out week 1 without the parts to fix. Order parts and waiting week 2 for them to hopefully come out and fix soon. Customer service sucks….its all via text or FB messaging.

Sadly recently I noticed mold inside of the washer causing possible health concerns. Yes I did all the steps to ensure the mold would not happen however it did. I would recommend if you buy the product to be extra careful. I couldn't believe this washer has not been recalled. I do not recommend this washer due to the molding. The clothes do get washed well thou.

They ripped us off three times especially with the #Warranty. They are not. I don’t recommend them when it comes to appliances, electronic. Yes but they don’t know how to deal with electronic the appliance part department, I recommend going to an appliance store. They tend to the delivery department ship you open boxes when you purchase a new item be careful this is why your machines break down !!

New unit - same issue. Will try to work with LG on service but not hopeful as 2 units had same problem.
