Only installed for a couple of weeks so way too early to comment on long term used. This LG replaced a Samsung that failed in warranty but no one could decipher why! LG has been a good brand for us so we chose this one.

It’s sad that stuff just doesn’t last anymore. The new LG will handle larger loads better and, and the cycles are a lot quicker. And it’s rinsing the clothes, which is a feature you really want in a washing machine.

It has held up to every test I've put it through! It handles both large and small loads perfectly and uses a load sensor so it can adjust settings. It has zero balance issues and handles waterproof fabrics well too. As a bonus, I've also gotten a lot of compliments on the color and the rose gold knob. A+ purchase!

But DO NOT have Best Buy install appliances, the guys that came to install the washer literally threw it in the spot and connected it and left. They didn’t level the washer and made a mess with the water connecting it. When I turned on the washer it was jumping around because it was not level. I contacted Best Buy and tried to have them come back to install it correctly but customer support said they couldn’t have anyone out till 3 weeks. So I paid another company to come out the next day and install it correctly.

Washes well and energy efficient

I decided to give this a try and I am not disappointed. My laundry is well done. Loads of functions to select from plus the ability to download additional cycles. Control from your phone. A couple tips: Clean the drain trap Leave the door ajar /wipe excess water from gasket to prevent smell (this is not an LG issue… it’s a front load disadvantage) Don’t use too much detergent

We replace our leaking / stale water smelling Samsung set with this one. No issues to report. It’s designed very well for a front loader.

However, it was top rated by Consumer Reports and an NY Times review of washers. We needed to replace a malfunctioning front loader, and so far it was been great. It is a little louder than the previous washer, but it cleans well. Check with me again in 5 years -- the life span of the previous washer.
