Love the 14 cycle options on this washer and I use them all. So far, I have concerns that my clothes aren't getting as clean as they used to in my old Miele washer. There are 2 other issues that LG really needs to fix. As many buyers have mentioned, it's very, very difficult to see the control panel as it is barely lit at all. I have great vision and a super sunny laundry room and I can scarcely see the control options. Half the time I am guessing. If a user had even the slightest vision problems, forget it. They would not be able to see the panel. I cannot understand why LG designed this washer and dryer this way. The other issue is that the trim on the washer and dryer doors is made of some cheap fake chrome (probably plastic?) material that shows finger prints. I have concerns about how well this trim will hold up over the long run. The washer and dryer are both run very quietly, which is a plus. Even with the problems, I would probably buy this washer again. Just hope I don't develop any vision problems! I was dazzled by how fast and how efficient the delivery process was with Best Buy! I would definitely buy a major appliance from Best Buy again. I live 40 miles from the nearest store and arranged everything on-line. It was a great experience!

This is a replacement set for a previous Kenmore set. Have to say, LG products are great. Very easy configuration, and use. The wifi option thru the app, works as advertised. The set can be programed for service and sends you notifications when a load is completed. Washer does a great job cla

Very quiet, doesn't cause floor to vibrate. Wifi works. Big capacity, lots of options. Small socks get caught in wide lip. Need to use bag for small items. Old smaller kenmore front loader never had that problem. Small opening on front bottom for clean out is nice option. Hopefully will last somewhat as long as old kenmore at 17 years

I stuck with my Maytag top loader way longer than I should have. I absolutely hated it. It was the one with no agitator, and glass top... and I’m telling you that it just doesn’t clean your clothes. It was awful. But this LG front loader is absolutely amazing. Thoroughly clean your clothes and it’s so quiet. I haven’t had any balancing issues at all. I love that it has an app so you know when your laundry is done. I’ve had mine over a month now and I haven’t had any issues with it smelling funky. I always wipe the door and the rubber molding down after each load and I leave the door cracked open just a bit. The manual said to run the tub clean feature once a month and I’m doing that. I seriously can’t find anything wrong with it. I also like Best Buy‘s 18 month interest free. I plan on paying this off pretty quickly so that I can get the matching dryer!

My LG washer is wonderful. Easy to use. Very large capacity. I may have to buy more towels & bedding in order to fill it to its potential. The Two Man crew were incredible. They installed my washer & dryer in minutes. They didn't leave a mess for me to clean. They were professional & hard workers. They were curtious. And strong. They carried my washer & dryer up a flight of stairs, just using large straps around their shoulders & a brace for their backs. I am very satisfied. I researched a lot of washer/ dryers. Chose the best according to Consumers Report.

I have only had this for a week so I can’t speak to longevity, but so far this washer is a HUGE improvement over the 10+ year-old front loading washer it is replacing. It’s a little taller than my old one but doesn’t stick out quite so far from the wall. It seems to clean well and has a nice variety of cycles (although I had to get online and print off the descriptions of what they all do since they are not in the manual. I had no issues with the app and it’s fun to see when my son is doing laundry when I’m not home. My favorite this though it how QUIET it is! My laundry room no longer sounds like an airport when the washer hits the spin cycle!! Other reviewers commented on having difficulty seeing all the controls. I do not have that issue.

This washing machine has been great for the month we've had it thus far. Large capacity and simple to use. The machine does vibrate a bit. The direct drive motor system does compensate to reduce the vibration, but we've found it almost impossible to get rid of it entirely through balancing it. It's not excessive, but could be annoying to some. The black steel surface also shows a lot of dust and lint and also scratches a bit easily.

Excellent washer, and super quiet while doing a great job washing laundry. This washer has performed flawlessly for over a year. The only issue I encountered was a broken plastic latch. LG tech came out and change it out in less than 10min. He said he had seen this part break on other washer, however, it isn't a common thing and to not be concerned. It's been about 9 months since the repair with not further issues.

I think a washer review should be relatively mundane. The unit sits in the garage so looks I couldn't care much about. It washes clothes it washes them very well. I've never had a connected washer before, and I don't know how we lived before getting an alert for a done wash cycle. It's also quiet quiet quiet, so if you've been hating your loud washer, this should keep your blood pressure down. Can't speak to reliability yet but it's looks and feels like a solid product.

I researched this purchase extensively, and decided that this LG was a good option because of positive reviews on reliability. The real selling point for me though was the optional pedestal washer accessory, which unfortunately is on back order so I haven’t received it yet. This washer is good so far, and I really like that it has quick cycle options when you need to get a load done quickly. Like others have noted, backlighting on the cycle options would be REALLY nice to have as they can be difficult to read. It’s also not as quiet as other washers I’ve owned—be prepared for some noise during the spin cycle. I opted not to connect to WiFi, because unless Alexa or Siri can put the clothes in the washer for me, I don’t see the point. For those concerned about aesthetics—I debated the color quite a bit and ended up going with black steel instead of white. It does blend in better with my dark grey-blue cabinetry and looks nice with grey and white patterned cement tiles. Whether it’s a trend that ages well or not, we shall see! Regardless of color choice, I think you’ll be reasonably pleased with the performance of this washer, but note that for the money, they could add backlighting and improve the loudness. I’ll update my review should anything change.

bought the combo after our washer quit on us. not until we've installed the machine that we know we have been suffering from our old washing machine: - extremely quiet operation. likely to be the most quiet available. - clean washing : we like how clean the wash is. I am an engineer who like to investigate and check results. I am very happy with what I see. - easy operation. you don't need the manual, if you have cloth to wash, and can read and understand English (which we all do), you can learn how to operate this beauty in a heart beat.

I’ve had the washer (matching dryer as well) for a full week now. I love it! It’s very simple to use and all the different setting are very intuitive. I love how it connects to WiFi and I can control it/see the status via the app. I never hear the sound when it’s finished (due to its location) so it’s awesome to get a push notification when it’s done. My only want for it is that the drum have a light. As for the delivery, I’d recommend going somewhere else. I made the delivery as easy as possible for the guys, in my opinion. I disconnected my old unit, replaced the valves, took the door off the laundry room (not necessary but gave them more room), and made sure there was a clear path. They managed to damage 2 trim pieces in the hallway, scratched the washer, and did not clean up all the foam pieces all around. I’ve never bought something like this so when they said me signing was just that they delivered, installed, the unit was worked, I believed them, however my copy does show the unit is free of any defects/damage so what can ya do? Also, no one follows up to make sure it’s all working, no questions, and you’re satisfied. My recommendation would be to have somewhere else price match and have them deliver. I’m not marking the product down because that’s not LGs fault.

I've been reading all the different reviews from LG to Maytag. We had a Samsung that was recalled for the top load washer lid. We did the repair, but it not only ripped our clothes apart but rusted quickly. We love our LG so far! I love the different settings, the quick wash, and the cleanliness of our clothes. It also uses less liquid detergent than our Samsung top loader. It also spins really well and our clothes are never soaking wet, like our other model. The only thing is the drying of the door and cleaning out the gunk in the rubber area. Other than that, we are so far very pleased with our washing machine. The installation was from the Geek Squad and the technician finished extremely fast. He didn't screw in the cold water hose tightly and our floor was wet with water. My husband was able to fix it.

This is a fantastic washer. It's quick, efficient, quiet, and the variety of settings are easy to use.

I had mixed feelings about buying the LG washer as I had seen mixed reviews but this washer is highly rated by Consumer Reports. Now that I have used it for about 3 weeks, I can easily say l am impressed. This replaced a 14 year old Whirlpool. I do a lot of laundry which includes rugs, doggie pee pads, king size bedding, plus all our clothing. I had to use the heavy duty cycle on the Whirlpool to get anything clean. But the LG easily does a better job on the normal cycle. One reason I chose this model was to get the anti-vibration characteristic. As a result, the washer is quiet, well balanced, and never once as it vibrated violently. I will agree with many other reviewers that the control panel is not very bright so, in dim light, can be hard to see. Other than that, I have not found any faults in this machine yet. I hope it lasts as long as my Whirlpool did.

This machine is nice. It operates smoothly and does a good job cleaning clothes. It's a bit more complicated than my previous machine, and I had to download the complete manual from the internet because only a short version was included with the machine. When washing large items (like the kitchen throw rug), the machine becomes unbalanced if I don't throw in other items to counteract it's size and weight. I've learned to do that through experience because even the complete manual doesn't address this issue. Still, I'm happy with my purchase.

We replaced a 6 year old Samsungs whose spider bracket had completely failed. Determined a replacement was by far the better route. Looked to a different line as we were never really happy with the Samsung to begin with. Couldn’t be happier with this unit. Quites, faster, more stable. The turbo wash feature is awesome. All around a great replacement. Very happy with this unit. Not eager for the dryer to fail, but we’ll certainly be matching this when the time comes. If you can, wait till they go on sale though. Great value.

This is a great washer. It is quiet and faster than our old machine. It is large enough to wash queen sized quilt. The steam clean function managed to get out a few old, set-in stains. We couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

OK, I know, I'm old too love my LG WM3900HWA Steamer/Washer and my dlex3900 dryer. Unlike my previous washer/dryer, this LG is like moving into a new age instead of living in the past. I am very up-to-date on technology, but the application for clothes washing and drying is phenomenal. No, not its WiFi capability, but the weighing of clothes to determine how it functions and for how long; the ability to tumble in such a way that delicate clothing is treated with delicacy, is fabulous. I have taken over the laundry responsibilities from my younger wife because I actually enjoy it. I know, I'm weird, but I can do small loads during the week so that my weekends are free from responsibilities. My wife has reluctantly entrusted me with a job she has done since we first married five years ago. This combo makes me look great!!

This washer was #1 rated by Consumer Reports when I bought and it has not disappointed. It has every setting I could want and it is easy to operate and very quiet. Of course time will tell like with any appliance on how long it holds up but after 1 year no complaints.
