The first problem encountered was that the existing pedestal we had for our old LG machines will not work with this model. This was despite TAKING THE TIME TO CHAT WITH LG CUSTOMER SERVICE to ensure they would work before we placed our order. We were assured they would. WRONG. Be warned - if you have the WPD3W pedestal it WILL NOT work with this machine. As I noted above, we purchased this washer to replace an existing LG machine in the exact same spot. I was therefore annoyed to learn that the washer waste pipes on LG machines are now shorter than those used on older models. Net net, I can't have the machine in the old location without going to Home Depot to buy an extension kit for the waste water pipe so that it reaches the drain in the laundry room. Given that I had the BB tech on site trying to finalize the install we had no immediate choice but to switch the dryer/washer position to a temp location so he could complete the install and we could have a laundry machine available for use for the next few days. Having a shorter waste pipe presumably gives LG a few cents more profit but its a chintzy short cut and for this customer at least simply an unnecessary frustration. Net net if you have an existing machine with no pipe extension double check the distance to your drain location before. At least the machine looks good and seems to work well so on that basis I would for now recommend though its obviously early days!

We’re trying to figure out why the turbo comes on with small loads, but that’s the only problem we’ve had.
