Washing Machine Purchase and Installation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the machine I wanted at a very reasonable price. The salesman informed me about other parts I would need for proper installation. They offered a reasonable delivery date, which I accepted. The machine was delivered and installed on the specified date and time, and done properly. The installers even ran a cycle to verify that everything was working properly. When everything was done, they removed my old machine. The installers were very careful when they brought the new machine in and when they took the old machine out. This was a good experience.

Great Washer, just a slight audio sensitivity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.***SLIGHT Audio Sensitivity for people with Autism with this washer Overall, I'm on the 2nd load for this washer and everything is working great. I did noticed a low frequency "ringing" from the Bedding setting on the washer. I could hear it from the kitchen, which is just a few feet from the washer. It's not loud, it's like having a normal ear ringing, but it's the fadeout part of that ringing that the washer is doing, nothing alarming. I'm just putting that out there cause I have level 1 autism (adult), so if there is any parents/guardians/roommates with a level 2-3 autistic individual in the household with an audio sensitivity, just don't have them too close while the washer is running, keep them in another room just in case they may have an episode from the faint ringing.

Short Lifespan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have now had this washing machine for just over 4 years. It does an average job washing, but does not have a cold wash cycle which I think is very strange, everything comes out warm. Over the last couple years it has had trouble turning on where are you have to do hard resets or let it sit for a while unplugged between washes. I do not recommend this washing machine.

Great machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in love with my new washer as it is an upgrade from a very old machine I had. I love all the different settings I can use and that it matches my dryer.

Great washer and easy to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hard to screw up washing clothes with this machine. This is a HE washing machine, so it uses less water and less detergent to get the clothes clean. Very simple. Select your wash cycle and it will do the rest based on the size of the load, that it figures out.

LG Fan Because of This Washer Alone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This washer can handle big loads with ease and tackles any stains I’ve thrown at it thus far. It’s never acted up, gave me any trouble and it’s made me a solid LG Fan for appliances now.

Would not buy again.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We regret this purchase. Had to have it repaired after about 2 years. The wash cycles were taking too long and now a few months later we are having a similar issue. Uses too much water compared to a front loader. Glad we got the extended warranty.

LG TOP LOADING WASHER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is fun to do the laundry with the new LG top loading washer. So far this machine performs flawlessly. Clothes are clean. No matter what size load I do, from very small, delicate things to my husband's heavy work clothes, the appropriate amount of water is used. Ask me in a year if it continues to perform well. Just a few weeks is really too soon too little time to say more.

I despise this thing.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this washing machine for 1.5 years now and I hate it. 1. It often doesn't add the correct amount of water. For full loads of clothes I have to hit 'add water' once when starting it (since there isn't an option to do it twice), wait for it to fill, pause it and hit it again. If I don't, some of my clothes will be so far above the water that they are not even all that wet and definitely not getting clean. For heavier things, or if I do a pre-rinse making things wet at the start of a wash cycle, it will add too much water and there is no way to stop it (without pulling some wet things out, waiting for it to fill and putting them back in, which I don't generally do because... seriously??). I will never again buy a machine without a water level setting knob. 2. The water temperature settings are 'cold', 'warm', and 'hot'. But warm is definitely cool, not warm. So there is no warm setting. 3. If you pause the wash cycle for any reason and don't re-start it again within 5 minutes it will drain all of the water and there is no way to stop it. Running a hot wash? I hope you have large water heater to re-fill it. I learned fast to just not do that, but it is extremely inconvenient when I want to scrub a stain or have it be quiet for a little while for a kid's nap or something. 4. Not having an agitator makes it really easy to get off balance. General loads are usually fine, but no matter how much I try to load things balanced around the drum as I should, my loads of towels and sometimes other things get off balance. To 'fix' this, the machine will just re-fill, swish, drain, and try to spin again. Before I realized this happens I had a load run a few extra rinses once. Now I just never run it when I am not around and go re-balance it by hand. I might be forgetting something. The pro is that it can run a really large load being 4.5 cu and not having an agitator, but I still would never, ever buy this machine again. Or one with so many 'smart' features really at all because it just makes it so awful!

Does not fully clean
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this WT7100CW model washer at Lowe's April of 2021 along with the matching dryer. Love the dryer. But this washer doesn't always clean your clothes. Too many times (no matter how small a load) we've had areas of our clothes that never get wet in this washer. We end up using the soak setting and that just wastes water. Had enough and in March 2024 we broke down and replaced this with an LG that has an agitator LG model WT7405CW. Best decision we ever made.

Died 2 1/2 months after purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this washer and accompanying dryer 7/2019. 2 1/2 months later washer will not power on. Checked power, checked plug, did restart, whole routine. Called Best Buy..."call Geek Squad". Called Geek Squad...call "LG". Called LG..."call A&E Factory Service". Called A&E Factory service...three weeks later, one service appointment...part (fuse) ordered, two additional cancelled service appointments to install fuse (which has yet to arrive at house) and washer sits idle. Whose paying for my gas and laundromat bill on a 2 1/2 month old $700 LG washer that does not work?

Nice machine, with one MASSIVE flaw!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this based on Consumer Reports and the summary of all of the reviews I read. It is a good washing machine with one major exception - you can't soak anything more than 30 minutes! Upon further investigation (after receiving my unit), other people have the same complaint - the same people, like me, wanting their old washing machine back. I wash diapers and use OxiClean with regularity because it works to remove bodily fluid stains. The instructions say to soak between 1-6 hours, which is what I do, or rather, used to do. Since this complaint has been out there for quite some time, I called LG directly to verify this and find out what their suggestion was. (If you stop the cycle, in a few minutes it drains completely.) The rep, after some time, and speaking to their manager, verified that the only way to soak for longer than 30 minutes, is to UNPLUG THE WASHER! You *have* to be kidding me. This is the only option for my brand new washer and dryer? Huge oversight, HUGE! These manufacturers need to get some women involved in their design process. Any one of them could've prevented this massive design flaw. Ridiculous. LG, this is embarrassing.

registration
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased a great LG washer. I love everything about it- except! I am trying to register it and I find out the model number and serial number are on the back of the unit. I paid extra for installation so now the only way I have of getting those numbers is to try to pull it out and see the back of it! This is very irritating. Surely LG could have put those numbers in a much easier to find spot. I would recommend it to a friend but I would tell them to write those numbers down before it is installed.

Not built to last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Literally had issues 3 months after my 5 yr warranty was up. Coincidence? The only reason this isnt a 1 or 2 star review is because it was a good machine otherwise.
