The tech that tried to fix the washer told me that top loader washers do not have this bearing problem. That along with the fact that top loaders tend to be a little less expensive than front loaders prompted me to give this washer a try. We used it a few times but found that it didn't seem to get clothes as clean as our old front loader. So we ultimately returned it and got another front loader. The washer was nice and quiet though which we liked.

The timer display is a nice feature that lets you know how long it has left to go. Very stable and quiet. The size is good for our small household - it holds enough to get the bedding done, but it's not so deep that you have to get on your toes to fetch things off the bottom. Simple to operate.
