An improvement, but still a couple of issues

We purchased an LG 4.5 Cubic Foot 8 Cycle clothes washer about 6 weeks ago, replacing a 30+ year old machine. The controls are easy to use and fairly intuitive, and clothes come out clean, but how to wash delicate loads is still unclear. Sorting clothes helps with performance, but the biggest issue has been wrinkled clothes with almost every load. Any suggestions on how to address that issue would be welcomed.

Starts easily. Dails and panel are easy to use and read. Fairly quiet and did well on bed sheets and comforter. Fit in mud room better than previous washer.

Love that this washer has a stainless steel tub and no agitator bar coming out, you can really fit a lot in. One + year in, I have found that this is a pretty good just above basic washer. Sometimes the clothes are too wet, and there is no spin-only cycle on the key pad. I have tried to resolve this with setting ALL of my cycles to high spin. Other than that, pretty good so far!

This is my first washer with no agitator. I love the size of the drum and also the different settings to choose from for each load. The machine washes well. I can't answer for heavily soiled clothes as we don't have any. My con: the dark colored clothes have come out of the wash with a white film on them. I have found that instead of using a normal load setting even if this is the correct choice, I need to choose a deeper setting to have more water for the load. Over all I like the washer but still have a learning curve.

    Enjoying my new washer

I am enjoying the quiet sounds coming from my laundry room. My old washer was extra noisy. The clothes are getting clean without becoming tangled in an agitator. My only complaint is that the back panel wash cycle settings are very dark to read. The panel lights up only after you have chosen a setting for each activity. This is especially difficult for those of us who are elderly with less vision.

Unfortunately, my washer quit working within a week of delivery. I called the 800 # and they helped me troubleshoot getting it working again. However, the temporary fix didn't work and I had to have a repairman come out to repair the new washer. After the 2nd repair visit, the main computer board was replaced and I haven't had any problems since. For the first time in a long time, I purchased the extended warranty because of my experience with the washer. The washer is much quieter than the one it replaced. I can't complain about the large capacity.

We replaced a 25 yr old washer that came with our house when we bought it. Needless to say, this LG is sooo much nicer. The capacity is great. It's pretty quiet and it cleans well. It's easy to figure out the controls and you can still modify settings if necessary. The tub is deep, so if you are petite, it might be a reach to get items at the bottom. This model doesn't have wifi although you can scan it with your phone to get a diagnostic report.

I have only used the washer for two months but the settings work great. It is relatively quiet. I don't really notice it running. I have follow the online suggestions to load item as if the aggitator is in the middle. So far the automatic settings work well. A few time I manually changed them it was very simple. Four stars only because it's only been 2 months. Purchase, delivery, and installation by Best Buy was excellent. On time efficient and answered questions.

My daughter bought this washer a year ago and I had used it a few times. I knew I would buy the same unit when my old one quit. We use it every day. Cleans 2 weeks worth of 2x uniforms used in auto body repair shop to look practically new! Gets the pet fur off large blankets and fully washes them. All laundry seems cleaner. I save tons of time because of the size of the load it can handle. I am quite pleased with it!!!!

Washer is good. It is fairly deep and we can get more clothes in it than our old washer. If you are short... you may need a stool to get to the bottom...no kidding. Runs fairly quietly. Spins very fast. The folks that complain about the soap and water issues... read the directions.. put the detergent in the right place and don't use as much as you did with your old washer... that should help. So far.. the first week or so... clothes come out clean.

I just bought this to replace a 15-year-old machine, and it's already noticeably better. I do two fairly large loads per week for one person, and each load fits in the tub with room to spare. I like the drawer for detergent and fabric softener. I also like how there is an estimated time remaining countdown. The spin cycle wrings out the laundry very well. The end of cycle jingle is kinda corny, but I can hear it throughout my house, so it gets the job done. Certainly pleased with it.

This clothes washer is the best. It has many options from quick wash to bedding so I’m able to easily select the one I need to conserve energy and water. It doesn’t have an agitator in it so I’m able to wash my comforter without struggling to make it fit. Also it’s very quietly and there’s no more wobbling as the washer tries to adjust the items.

I am more than thrilled with this washer. It is sturdy, does not shift, has large capacity, saves water and cleans clothes. I would recommend this washer to anyone. The best. The only negative is I have a difficult time reaching for the clothes because I am so short and the drum is very deep. My fault, not the washer!

Made The Move Away From Front Loading

Worried that selling off the 2 year old front loader & dryer would be a mistake and that the HE top loader with the impeller would only make things worse. But couldn't be happier with the LG top loading washer. There are a few less bells and whistles but really haven't missed anything. And no more knocking sound when the front loader was trying to spin up, no more smell, easy to load and unload (didn't have the risers for the front loader so the crouching was getting old). If LG has made a W&D dryer that will last like the old Kenmore W&Ds, this will be a great purchase. Time will tell.
