It's not that the TV can't carry HD! No, we found out that to get HD, we need to pay Comcast for a subscription, a new set-top box, and a $10 technology fee. Our old TV quit working in early August. Cami at Best Buy was very helpful as we looked for a new TV. The Geeksquad was excellent helping us with installation. My only disappointment is with Comcast.

The model I wanted was replaced by this one, do there were few reviews available. Nice having the latest apps already loaded. This replaces my 5 year old LG 43" which was destroyed by my family leaving it on a still frame for 2 hours at a time for years ( Don't!). My choice was between this model and a Samsung. The Samsung had better black levels, but the LG had a better viewing angle Side to Side. Only time (and family) will determine if I made the correct choice.

The user manual makes it difficult to determine how to turn off features you don’t want.
