A: The TV I replaced was an older, pre-4K TV and the difference is nothing short of amazing. As I said in my review, even older TV show reruns (think: Law & Order and Blue Bloods) look almost like they shot direct-to-video. I agonized for a long time before buying, but it was almost >always< on sale. My advice: Take the plunge!
