• There are not designated rewind, play/pause or fast word buttons. The select button is the pause/play button and pressing the button under the number nine brings up a soft menu on the screen for rewind and fast forward. ^Daphane

• I have not had any problems pausing or replaying on this tv.

• No that button does not bring up a pause feature. The remote has no pause feature.
