I really am enjoying my new TV. It is great to have the big screen!!

I was interested in replacing my 27 inch crt tv with a flat screen tv. I did my research for about 6 months. I narrowed it down to 3 brands. LG was one of the brands I decided I was going to buy. When I found this tv it had all the features that I wanted (size, 1080, 120 hz) and it was by far the least expensive. I decided to go to Best Buy because of the availability and the price. When I walked into the store it was displayed right in front of the flat screen tvs. The salesman was very helpful and helped me pick out the right hdmi cables that would support 1080 resolution. When I got it home it was easy to put together. As soon as I turned the tv on the picture was amazing. I ordered hd from my tv provider and the picture was even better. I hooked up my PS3 and the graphics were out of this world. I had heard that the sound on flat screen tvs were not that good, however I was suprised that the sound on this tv wasn't that bad. But in the future I do plan on going back to Best Buy to buy a Home Theater system for it.

I hate to only give this TV 4 stars because this model only has two HDMI ports, but it's kind of a big deal. The picture is great, colors good out of the box, looks nice. I watch a lot of sports, movies, and primetime TV and the picture is great for all. Surround sound hook's up with a digital audio cable to your receiver and there's no switching between tv output and surround speaker output like the newer Cinema 3D LG tv I returned. With so many smart devices available for your online content don't be afraid to find the best "dumb" tv for the price. It'll be worth it. I just wish I had found this model with the 240hz refresh rate....stay away from LG's clear motion rate also, I didn't like it on the Cinema 3D tv. I bought this model because it was the closest to the 2009 model 47in LG LCD tv. I had that model stolen from my house. That TV was the best TV I had ever seen and many many people confirmed this.

This tv is a great addition to my living room. It has wonderful picture and pretty good sound. I was worried getting a "non samsung" tv as everyone told me that they make the best. However this tv is just as good as any other out there. It doesn't come with all the bells and whistles of a smart tv, however I have a ps3 to take care of all that. I don't play a lot of video games however the picture on them is great. Some people will complain that it only has two HDMI connections, but those are just enough for me. If you are looking for a tv that has great picture, clarity, and color, then this is the way to go.

I bought this TV about a month ago and I love it. For price its a really good TV. The picture quality is fantastic and the sound quality is above average. With the right set of speakers this can be a amazing multimedia experience. Some draw backs are that it isn't a "smart" TV and doesn't have the interface of some of the newer TV's out there and the size (47" is what fits for me but there are 50-55" around the same price). The biggest issue I have is that there are only 2 HDMI ports. For those with multiple connections please keep this in mind. All in all, I enjoy the TV and would recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely fantastic product from the always reliable folks at LG. Delivers great picture with deep levels of customization to allow the user to fit the picture and sound to their exact preference. Perfect TV for someone who's not looking for a 3D/Smart TV but still wants a great viewing experience. My only qualm was that the TV only has two HDMI ports, so component video and audio had to be used for my third device (I used it on the cable box, which can only output a maximum of 1080i anyhow). Possibly the best TV you'll find for the price.

I got this TV back in August. It has been great. The picture quality is excellent. LED is so much better than LCD. The sound is also fantastic. I had a surround sound system with my last TV and the speakers in this TV are just as awesome, if not better. I highly recommend this TV to anyone.

Overall this is a really nice HDTV. LG did us no favor by not giving an adjustment control for the clear motion 120hz . From what I have gathered form the LG web site, It is activated at the factory and is set to the low setting with no further adjustments being able to be made. This is not a good thing because, some shows with very fast action still have motion blur. Being able to adjust from a low setting to a higher setting would most likely help. For this reason I gave it 4 stars. If you hate TV's that have whats called the soap opera affect, this TV is right for you. This affect is very mild with this TV.

I'm a really picky consumer, but I've yet to find something to complain about with this television. I went back and forth into the store several times before finally settling on this model. I like Samsung, but know that LG is a reputable brand so I decided to give it a whirl. The Samsung that I saw - with the features I wanted - just never came down to a price I could afford. The picture is everything I want in a television (except for the really expensive tvs with higher technology). The clarity and smoothness were the clinchers for me. The sound is excellent for a large flat-screen. I can only turn it up to about 7-8 and it fills my living room. I can only imagine how it will sound when I buy a speaker system. I am not a fan of the big screen tvs, but have to get with the times - so I dove in and bought one. I've only had it a week, but at this point - I absolutely love it and look forward to enjoying it for a long time. I highly recommend others to at least give it a try.

I love this tv. The picture quality on this tv is superb. The sound is good also. The only thing I dislike about the tv is that it only has two hdmi ports. That's a little annoying. Also it doesn't have a headphone jack. But overall, the tv is great!

I bought this TV for my apartment, and it is perfect. The 120Hz makes a difference, especially when playing video games, etc.

I bought this TV today after a month of research to replace a 16year old box tv. This TV was super easy to set up for an older person, the instructions were very easy. Jerry at BestBuy Elk Grove, CA informed me since I have "the limited basic package" (I am on a budget lol) I will need to get an HD box from my cable provider. Exchanged my cable box the same day no charge for new box from Comcast, except $2.65 month fee - Thanks Jerry for the info! At first I thought I had done something wrong, picture quality was not what I was expecting. Called cable provider with HD questions and they fixed a few things, then informed me that there were special HD channels in the 700series to watch my local channels there. OMG!!!! MY LG TV LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE IT DID IN THE STORE FRICKIN AMAZING!!! Conclusion, if you don't have an amazing picture it is a user issue, set up issue or cable provider issue. This TV is spectacular, and I am very very happy!

the picture is really good. The sound isn't bad, I watch it in my bedroom and can hear it clearly. The price wasn't bad either. My only gripe is the remote control, some of the buttons are way too small for example the input button (to change to hdmi, av, and Tv) Overall I really love this TV

This TV had all the features I wanted (good picture, ports, 120Hz, etc) and no costly extras I didn't (smart), at a really great sale price. The instructions for attaching the stand were poor/confusing but we figured it out eventually. Sound is acceptable but not great.

LG has done it again, they are by far my favorite tv Manufacture. Their picture quality is just awesome, 120HZ so its very clear even during sports and action games when playing Xbox. Sound quality isn't too bad for a TV too! Defiantly would recommend this TV.

I bought this TV after searching around for a couple months. Had a budget in mind, under 800 or so, and I DIDNT want something that was 3D or internet capable. I was considering a Vizio, but I went around the web and read some reviews and saw this one and went to my local Best Buy to see the LG in action and was hooked. I have absolutely no regrets getting this at all. I have all my consoles hooked up to it through a surround sound system and using top of the line HDMI cables, I haven't tested the speakers on the tv because of this so I don't know how they sound but Im sure their ok, and like I said....this is a sweet gaming rig that wont break the budget and the picture is absolutely beautiful, huge upgrade compared to my RCA lcd 46in. Im confident that you too will be satisfied just as I am.

This TV has very good picture and sound quality. It was easy to install and setup for use. The controls and remote are easy to operate. It is not difficult to clean and it was affordably priced.

The LN5400 LG model is the best TV I've owned yet. It has great picture and sound quality, and the 120Hz refresh rate is noticeably better than my last TV, which had a 60Hz refresh rate.

As I said it was so easy to set up and watch I decided to buy another but price next day is $599. Picture and sound is great. I see it as a marvelous buy for me. Only 2 hdmi .

Very nice tv, excellent picture. Such a nice view for watching movies. Not happy with only one HDMI port, can't connect more than one device at a time without a switch.
