Won't last a year
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're considering this - or any other similar LG LED model... STOP. This television was great for our family.... for the first 11 months. Then, without warning one day, it suddenly stopped working. Note that had I been tasked with writing a review a month ago, I would have given the thing 5 stars. Love the software, and believed it was a great value. We bought it after rave reviews from Consumer Reports (not many reviews except by purchasers who had just bought the thing, all were positive). Of course, if you only expect your television to last a few months, great.... but if you believe investing several hundred dollars into it should give you a bit better longevity, find something different.

The TV Quit on the 9th Dy of Use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV new (not refurbished) and set it up on September 5, 2013. I am a single male in his mid-50s, so there are no children or havoc in my home to damage a TV. Last night, while I was sitting watching it, it suddenly turned off and refused to turn back on. When I filled out a repair ticket online, I was made aware that there are no technicians that make premise visits in El Paso, Texas, a metropolitan area of nearly one million people. This means I will have to ship the TV, have it looked at, and then wait to have it shipped back. Now I will have to return it and opt for something worthwhile. I am very, very disappointed in LG.
