I read some reviews before I purchased. I like the TV One review referenced that it was a little short on brightness I agree . For me it doesn't matter cause its in a fairly dark room

Plenty of bang for the buck. Great picture and compatibility with my home theater components. Would recommend this unit highly for anyone wanting to move into the 4k generarion.

Out of the box I noticed this tv to be very dim. Could hardly see past the glare. I did go to the tv settings and disable all power saving options and saw some improvement. But it's a guest bedroom tv. It will do.

Yes, this tv is only 60 Hz. Not false advertising, but if you know your tv's, this is a marketing tool based on a in-tv function that simulates 120 Hz. No, it's not a high-end tv for $499. It's a great tv with super functionality for an extremely low price (Thanksgiving Day). Yes, there is blur where there is fast movement, but not enough to discount this tv. I have a high-end plasma and there is some minimal blur with it also. And it's 600 Hz! I would not buy this tv for the full retail price, but for $499 it's a steal. I would recommend purchasing the Geek Squad protection 5 yr. plan for $99.99. It's worth it! I received a significant upgrade the last time I purchased a plan. Dealing exclusively with Best Buy on repairs is a definite A RELIEF! I do wish LG would put the Watch ESPN app in their app store for the U.S.

Setup of the tv was easy, although it asked me where my cable connection was coming from whether it was my antenna or through the tv plug, don't they realize most people connect through HDMI (that wasn't an option)? The apps included with the TV included a nice surprise: Google TV and Movies, which is great for those of us highly dependent on Disney Movies Anywhere. The User Experience of the TV and its smart features is very friendly, i prefer it to the Vizio i had before this. The picture quality is truly great, fortunate I had the TV in time for thanksgiving football. If i had one complaint (but not enough to give it 4 stars instead) is that the back is almost too flat. I know mounts come with spacing pieces but the back is so flat not even 1 HDMI cable could fit and let the TV be flush against the wall, was never an issue for me before. Great TV, highly recommend

I bought this TV last Sunday to avoid the Black Friday craziness. I have to say I am very satisfied with this purchase. I wanted a 4K TV for my bedroom and could not pass this up. Easy setup and the 6430 model looks sleeker than the 6400. The upscaling engine performs very well, upgrading 1080p content looks amazing. It supports 24p output so as long as your blu ray player outputs in this mode there is no judder when playing movies. TruMotion works great and can barely notice the Soap Opera Effect. Colors needed to be tweaked a little bit to be optimal but that's to be expected. It supports DLNA so I can play other media on my network which is a definite plus as the Vizio M Series does not do this. Currently I have a Blu Ray player, Apple TV and Tivo Premiere for streaming from my main Tivo Roamio. I am not a gamer so I cant comment on gaming performance. There are a few things I wish it did do or have. Netflix loads every time. My Vizio M series, which is my main TV, just keeps it logged in. There doesn't seem to be any way to custom label your TV inputs which is a drawback. I was ok with the wide legs but that could cause problems if you don't have a wide enough TV stand. A qwerty remote would of been nice like the Vizio M series. But ultimately the drawbacks are minor in comparison

Plays a wide variety of formats (.mkv etc..) through the network from our NAS. Good value TV set.

LG has done a good job with excellent contrast ratio on the picture. In built speakers are quite good. Overall, a worthy budget TV.

Exactly what we were looking for. Good features in that you can direct link to amazon, Netflix, etc. Wi-Fi works well. Good TV in its category.

Will not change the LG for any other brand. They are great quality Tv's. Easy to set up all I own is LG Tv's
