Very good value for a 4k
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is very good for a TV at this pricepoint and the smart TV features are good enough for most, although not as good as those found in many set-top streaming devices. I'd say this is a good buy for most families on a budget.

Great TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was a great price... And it's also great quality! Sometimes you expect such a good deal to be manufactured cheaply, but I have no complaints about the picture or sound quality. Having a Smart TV makes streaming on Netflix and Prime much easier too. I can also control those programs on the TV through my phone.

Great budget IPS 4k 60hz tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. Only downside is the blacks inherent to ips. Sound is surprisingly good. Doesn't come with the smart remote that let's you point at the screen.

Great picture and price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This by far has one of the best pictures and up scaling I have seen on a 4K. Puts off little to no heat and she sound is crispy with good mids and bass.

good tv if you want to replace an old tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this 4k tv dosen't have good blacks, color looks FADED...you need an hdmi adapter so that the cable can fit and not hit the wall, after messing around with the ISF expert mode for picture i found out it can look a bit better but not so great, i changed my netflix suscription to 4K and i noticed picture looks good on still images or slow moving objects, but on fast scenes like bullets, chasing vehicles etc...it looks horrible.... i have a Sony KDL-47W802A that i use with my PS4 on 2013 and there is a big difference in color, blacks, white and of course it's a 480hz but on the LG 4k fast moving scenes look very bad, distorted... my sony did very well compared to the LG 4K.....even if its a 1080p 480hz (120hz in reality)........IF YOU PLAN ON BUYING THIS TV DON'T, SAVE SOME MORE MONEY TO BUY A SAMSUNG/SONY BRAND, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS ONE! I WAS THINKING ON RETURN IT TO THE STORE BUT ENDED UP GIVING IT AS A GIFT FOR MY WIFE AND I KEPT MY SONY 47W802A FOR NETFLIX/GAMING...... VERY DISSAPOINTING AND EXCUSE FOR MY ENGLISH, IT'S NOT SO GOOD

excellent picture

Color, contrast, sharpness, and remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV during the Black Friday sale week. I was enticed because I've heard LG's last a long time and of course the 4k. When I got it home I wasn't impressed with the colors at all. Everything seemed like it has a white over cast that were light and everything that is dark looks like it was darker. I tried it in Vivid mode like the reviews suggested and still wasn't satisfied so I went to the store to make sure I just wasn't being crazy. The guy at the store informed me and my boyfriend that I was correct and the Sony I was eyeballing was better quality. I can't remember all the technical details but it boiled down to this is LG's first year doing 4k where as Sony has been doing it for 10 years (and I believe has been doing it the longest of all other brands) and there for they had longer to perfect the usage of the technology. I believe he also mentioned there was a difference in the type of lights that were in the TV as well which was also a factor in the colors even though they have about the same amount of colors the Sony was able to utilize them more because of the lights. As much as I liked the price of this better I can't help but think it would be more worth it for me to get the Sony 4k for $200 more while it's on sale or get one that isn't 4k because I can't get the clarity to view all the details I want anyway. Additionally, because of the color it seems it affects the sharpness a bit even when adjusting the sharpness setting. Side note: As for the reviews about the remote. IF you some how misplace it you can always use a smart phone app to do everything. I tried it. It works.

Overall a good tv for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv last week for $499 during the black friday sale. The picture quality was decent although some content that were up-scaled to 4K was not that great. The WebOs 2.0 UI is sleek and easy in terms of getting around the menu/settings. I intended to use the Tv for skype video calling. Unfortunately LG seemed to have removed the skype from their webOs app store early this year, so I am going to return this weekend.

Great value for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty good TV, with good colors, definition, and connectivity. I'd like another HDMI port, but for what we paid for it we can live with having to route one peripheral through something else.

Great TV - for the most part
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this tv, and it looks great! The color and resolution are amazing. The only drawback I have found so far is when I tried to watch a tv show streaming from the tv network's website. I played fine for a while, then it suddenly said that it was deleting files or something to free up more memory, and the show started over again from the beginning. From what I have been reading about it, the issue is that this tv doesn't have enough memory to play normal videos online, which is ridiculous. What is the point of having a smart tv if you can't stream videos from the internet?

Good value but not a perfect tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV definitely has its flaws. But if you're spending $500 for a tv then you're not going to get the best picture and features compared to more expensive sets. Overall, this tv is a good value for the price and should meet the needs of most people.

What a Dissapointment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own two LG led's, a 55" and a 47", and both are about two years old and both have beautiful pictures. I also own 3 Samsung televisions, which I believe are just a tad bit better then LG. I was excited to grab this 4K television for $500 but when I turned it on, I was super disappointed. I tried for four days to get a decent picture but to avail. My neighbor had the same TV delivered yesterday, but in a 55, and called me a few hours after setting it up and asked, what is up with this TV? Mind you, he's replacing a 47" LG smart TV that has a wonderful picture on it. So we both agreed to tinkle with these TV's throughout the night and figure out what to do with them in the morning. After trying another million picture settings, I texted him this morning and said, I'm going to Best Buy as soon as they open to return this piece of junk....his response....I'll pick you up in an hour. Both TVs were returned and replaced with regular old Samsung Smart TVs. And what a difference! We set his 55" up first and it took me ....maybe 38 seconds to adjust the picture and it looks beyond amazing!! Then went home and set my 50" up and within seconds....heaven. Sorry LG.....you lost a customer for life.
