It’s ok

Two weeks later I got the tv back from repairs. So far it is working ok, but it has only been a couple of months sine it was repaired.

Simply over priced

Leg Snapped and Warranty Did Not Cover the Damage

TV worked great and had quality image definition during the time we used it. The legs that came with this did not come with screws or instructions so we had no idea it required them. We snapped on the legs and it was fine for a few months. One day the A/C came on in the living room, i heard a snap where the leg broke and the tv crashed down to the ground shattering the screen. The warranty, and extended warranty did not cover it. It was considered my fault for not knowing it needed screws after going thru the warranty process.

do Not buy

Not so good

WiFi

Poor to excellent picture after key adjustments
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We just bought (Nov 19 2017) this LG 49UJ6300 4K UHD Smart LED from Best Buy in exchange for a Insignia we had returned. This LG 4K UHD was initially very disappointing but I remember I had a similar problem with another 4K a few months ago until I turned off some of the “smart” controls. In this case just turning off the power saver turned the picture from borderline (almost took it back) to a superior HD crystal clear picture with excellent color. I also went into the manual settings (you have to hunt a bit to find them) such as color, contrast, brightness, backlight, tint, etc and it got even better, then moved onto the advanced settings and it got even better. Now it is an extremely high quality high def picture with excellent color. Considering I only paid $329 in a black Friday sale I am thrilled with the picture now after all the tickering I did with everything. The sound isn’t as rich but is fine for me. The only negative is the remote control in that it seems very low quality and often requires a repeat action with a little more pressure to activate whatever button you are pushing. High marks as usual for Best Buy’s help in exchanging the Insignia we returned for this LG model which has turned out to be a great deal for the price we paid.

Completely stopped working- common problem

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV a year and a half ago (11/21/17) and now the TV is completely not working and it's not covered by the warranty. Given a quick search online of the problem (blinking red light and black blank screen), it appear that this is a common problem that LG knew about. I also had issues with the TV disconnecting from the internet frequently and constantly asking for an update for the smart TV component. Very frustrating.

Damaged out of box, flimsy frame

The screen was damaged in multiple areas, most likely from the shipping process. There was a hole in box and the screen had NO protection e.g. styrofoam layer or plastic film. Outside of that during assembly, the frame felt very flimsy while handling it. I had the option of exchanging it for a new one, but based on what I saw and experienced I returned it altogether. Also I read somewhere this is not true 4K.

Decent TV

Went out not even 2 years later

Was completely satisfied with the LG over any of my televisions. Until it just went out 2 days ago. Repairs would cost me the same price of a new tv. I'm doing my research and LG is still a good rated tv however I don't want the same to happen again & see this is a common problem after I googled. If do you purchase an lg, I would highly recommend the extended warranty.

Disappointed!

I caught it on sale for $499 and had about $150 in loyalty credits I applied against that. Even with barely over $350 out of pocket, I was so disappointed that I returned the TV and got my money back. The picture quality on my 9 year old Samsung 1080p was notably superior.
