We just had this washer delivered today. Over the weekend my dryer went out and this gave me the perfect excuse to buy a new washer as well. We upgraded from a front loading Samsung set that we purchased 6 years ago. I both loved and hated that washer. It got clothes clean but even with leaving the door open we would get a musty smell that transferred to our clothes, despite cleaning the washer on a regular basis. I have 7 kids. We cloth diaper 3 of them. I needed my new washer to be able to handle everything that I throw at it. Let me tell you - this washer has a huge capacity. Like, woah. The first load of laundry I did after this was installed is an extra big load of cloth diapers. They came out very clean and I don't need to tweak my wash routine at all I don't think. I'll know more about that in a week or so though. I've washed 4 loads of laundry since it was delivered this morning, using different settings, and so far this machine works wonderfully. I LOVE all the features. I did turn off the chimes right away though, I guess they're cute but too much for me lol The washer is also extremely quiet. I don't even know that it's running. I contemplated turning the chimes back on so that I would at least know when it was done lol The only issue I have with it is after our second wash ever (on cold), we have condensation under the LCD display. My husband is going to call best buy and see if that's something that we need to replace it over. If you look at the attached picture, you can see where there is condensation (it was taken at night, in the dark, so it's not the greatest picture. But you can see what I'm talking about.)

i like the features of the machine. best buy is the best place to buy it.

I have had my new washer for a couple of weeks now and am loving it!

We just recently purchased this LG washing machine after our Kenmore Elite finally bit the dust after almost 15 years of reliable service. Needless to say my expectations for our new washer were high. I am not the kind of person who can afford a picky machine that needs constant repairs and can't handle the long haul. Time will tell I guess with my new LG but at least initially, holy cow! For our 1st load of laundry in the new machine we drug in one full basket of dirty laundry and tossed it in and peered inside the tub to see it could handle a 2nd basket! Our old Kenmore with its center agitator would have been full with just the 1st basket. Wow! So two baskets into the tub and then I notice it only needs 25% of the soap that we used to put into our Kenmore. Wow! We set it off on a heavy duty cycle with adding a soak and extra rinse as options and it took almost 2 hours to complete the load. No sweat in my opinion, it's the nature of the HE machines and it cleaned a giant load of stinky shorts, underwear, jeans, and towels from our two sons. The clothes looked and smelled cleaner than ever and the spin cycle is crazy good. So much that we don't have to dry the clothes nearly as much. This machine cost me about $300 more than what I paid for my Kenmore Elite 15 years ago but the cost savings in water, electricity, and soap over time means that this machine is going to pay for itself. Absolutely love this machine.

This is the second LG washer we have purchased. The first was rusting inside the washer, now the second is doing the same. Poor craftsmanship. The washing machine is designed to have water, yet it rusts inside the rim..

I wanted an LG washer/dryer because my other appliances are LG and this unit was 'the best' per salesman. Top of the line. I don't know about that… fabric softener dispenser doesn't dispense and stays full of water. Frustrating.

We researched numerous washers (and dryers) on various sites including Consumer Reports. This LG came out among the top. We decided to move ahead and purchase it. It has been installed and we've begun using it. First off it is a giant capacity machine 5.2 C Ft of space with no agitator in the middle so it is one large sparkling stainless steel drum. It can take massive loads. We tried the normal/cotton mode and the towel mode and the washing is impeccable. The machine is intelligent and measures the level of water based on the load of clothes in the drum. Then it is a water miser (good for the wallet and environment) but one can add water through an option. The operation is quiet... quiet... quiet.... and the machine balances the load. One can add extra rinse and can pretty much customize the inputs.... softener, rinse, water temp, spin speed... etc. It is a wonderful machine. We haven't used the setting for the large bedding or allergens but we will at some point. The clothes come out smelling fresh and springy and nice.... in short this is a great machine and works fantastic..... Go get it..... Note.... always make sure you buy a plastic washer tray on which the appliance sits.....this is to make sure if there are any leaks... it is captured in the plastic tray and contained. We've not had any... but just a cautionary step....
