Great Budget Washer

The installation crew was quick and professional as well. Try and pick it up on sale. I would not pay full price. Interested to see what the AI mode does.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite being a well-made LG top-loading washer that has never been moved around, this machine failed to clean our clothes effectively due to the absence of an agitator. This was quite disappointing, especially since we need to keep large king-size bedspreads and plenty of queen-size sheets thoroughly cleaned. My first frustration was with the dark glass lid, which made it necessary to use a flashlight just to see the too gentle agitation inside, even when using the HEAVY DUTY, DEEP FILL, and EXTRA RINSE settings. One portion of the bedspread never even submerged in the water, despite the tub being filled to capacity. Without proper agitation of all parts of the laundry, cleanliness is compromised. I then tested the washer with a jacket, a pair of jogging pants featuring a white lining, and a towel stained with dirt. The dirt around the ankle of the jogging pants’ lining wasn’t properly cleaned, as that leg never stayed submerged under water long enough. To be fair, I hand-washed this spot by applying detergent and rubbing it gently with my fingers at the kitchen sink after the load finished, and the stain came out easily. This proved that the washer simply wasn’t cleaning the items well, making it a waste of water. The towel also retained dirty patches. Frustrated, I decided immediately to head to Best Buy for a replacement washer equipped with a traditional agitator. The exchange process was straightforward, yet I have not received the replacement machine yet ~ scheduled to arrive in three days. I ordered the LG WIT6105SCW top-loading model, hoping it will meet my cleaning needs. This model has a clear glass lid, allowing me to watch the washing process without needing extra light. While I was eager to appreciate this impeller washer, especially because I enjoyed using the LG app ~ which won’t be compatible with the new machine ~ my personal experience has led me to prefer the replacement model. Although many users seem satisfied with agitator-free washers, this one did not suit my requirements.
