Loved the washer but the lid only stay open if it is able to open at 90 degrees. We had to pull it out away from the wall in order to clear the cabinet above the washer so the lid could be at 90 degrees when open. This created a significant gap between the wall. Our house is less then three years old and has built in cabinet. Our whirlpool washer is a top load and its lid stays open at a 75-80 degree angle. This LG has to be 90 degrees or the lid shuts.

I am not even a year in and regret my purchase. We went with no agitator and I do not recommend that on a top load. With the efficieny feature the tub does not fill with a lot of water on the normal wash, but the impeller does not move the clothes enough and they are often come out with dry sections which is a bit odd. For this reason we have been using the deep water cycle and now using so much more water than we did with our front loader. Also, washing bedding and blankets has been a challenge. The machine is not able to balance properly for the spin cycle, especially if you have more than one blanket in there and often I am having to go to the machine and re-adjust wet heavy blankets just to get it into the spin cycle. The washer itself is very deep and if you are 5'-1" like me, you will need a step stool to reach the clothes at the bottom of the machine. I am really regretting this purchase and should have went with the front load option. I love the LG App and how it notifies me when the cycle is complete, you can program washes, it let's you know when it can't balance, and also lets you know when it is time to clean the washer.
