I wanted a top-load washer with an agitator/impeller because they throughly clean the clothes. I chose this model because of the online reviews. It cleans ok but the clothes must be arranged in a specific way according to the cleaning instructions. Any variations can cause the washer to “throw a code” because of imbalance issues. After one month I’ve had issues with this particular model. On some occasions the washer would repeat the wash/rinse/spin cycle. I wish I would have paid the extra money for a “higher end” LG washer/dryer. The unit looked cheaply built with touch pad controls with no real buttons or knobs…you get what you pay for…

The little drawer part you pull out to add detergent always has water sitting in it after every load. I googled solutions and the only thing I found is to make sure it is level. We leveled it and still have the same problem. So the water has to be sucked out with a syringe every time so we are able to add detergent for the next load. I don’t think it gets clothes as clean as my very old Maytag did, but I’m also using different detergent as it has to be HE detergent. The only thing I do like about it is that you can sync it to your phone to tell you when it is done because I have it in the basement and cannot hear it.

Posted .How to Get the Best Results from a HE Top Load Washer: Always use a laundry detergent with the HE label. These products are formulated to create fewer suds which is important since so much less water is used. More is not better when there is less water in the mix. Most loads only require one to two teaspoons of HE liquid laundry detergent or one single-dose pack. If you do not use the automatic detergent dispensers, place the detergent in the bottom of the drum BEFORE you add your dirty clothes. All single dose laundry packs must be placed in the bottom of the washer - never the dispenser. This will give the detergent the longest amount of time in the water to help get your clothes clean. When you load a HE top load washer, do not pile the clothes in the center. Evenly distribute the dirty clothes around the edges of the wash plate. This will help balance the load more quickly and speed the wash cycle. For best performance, load clothes as shown in manual on page 14. Load clothes loosely, and do not load clothes over the maximum guideline on the tub. Clothes need room to circulate in order to get clean. Last owned a top of the line Samsung Front Load set. The LG Dryer’s sensor drying feature typically indicates the load is dry, but they are still damp. The LG washer/dryer set came highly recommended, but we have not been impressed.
