    Must run Tub Clean regularly!

This is a good washer - can fit king size comforter in no problem. However, using the tub clean feature once a month is a must! We didn’t think this was all that necessary when we had it the first year and our washer began to have a musty smell… following a YouTube video we took the top and drum apart and cleaned every nook and cranny we could reach. It was DISGUSTING - the entire outside of the metal wash tub was coated in soap moldy smelling soap scum/mung, the inside and bottom of the outer plastic tub was also disgusting - it all had to be physically scrubbed. Now I run the Tub Clean cycle at least once a month with vinegar and baking soda. That part if the machine clearly does not get timeless during a regular wash cycle.

    An upgrade

Originally bought a WT 7100 but returned it and took a chance with this new model that was barely reviewed since the Normal cycle on the 7100 barely has enough water to wet the clothes (so it can meet the standard of being water-efficient). The 7300 has the same low level of water, but added Turbo Wash to the Normal cycle which moves the clothes more aggressively and so far seems to clean them more thoroughly. Can still use the Deep Wash cycle if you want to add more water via Water+ button (after hitting Pause), but Turbo Wash is not activated in this cycle. I've only had the machine for a week; so far so good. The 7300 is the machine the 7100 should have been.

    Best Washer ever!

This is a Great washing machine. It does not have A middle agitator so you can fit more clothes in it. It has a sensor to balance the load so you can fit a lot of clothes. The only thing you have to think about is the dryer. If your dryer can't handle a large load your best filling it only halfway. It is easy to use and family members who usually overload the machine can use it as well. We love it.

Great washer. Love that it doesn't have an agitator in the middle. Can fit a large load, but don't overfill.

    Consumer Reports recommended washer

This is a very nice washer. It cleans well and is as good as the Kenmore Elite washer that I was replacing. Both were similar in their capabilities, which is what I was looking for as I really liked my Kenmore but I needed a new board and it wasn't available. The tub of this one is a bit amazing as since it is so shiny, I keep thinking I see light coming from the tub. The clothes come out quite dry due to the spin speed, which is what I want. You need to shake out the clothes so they don't stay wrinkled but it definitely gets the water out, which helps with drying time. The place where you put the laundry soap and softener seems fragile but I haven't had any problems with it. I would not recommend rough treatment of the dispenser as it seems delicate. I found it to be bigger than I needed but it was the one that matched my dryer. I also like the window in the top, which didn't come with this model. I bought this washer because it was recommended by Consumer Reports as one of the best ones, so I'm hoping that works out well. So far so good!

    Washer Review

The washer is easy to use and works well. Very little vibration during the spin cycle. The bedding cycle uses a lot of water by filling the enormous tub 3 different times. The other cycles use minimal water. LG doesn't make an extender drain hose but the home centers have one that fits.

Washes clothes OK, but controls & app really suck

    Posted .

This washer a big capacity, and it washes clothes well (for a top loader) without using too much water. But the controls make me miss my old whirlpool! It often bugs when trying to set up the wash - about 1 in 3 times I have to turn the power on and off just to start a wash. And if you want anything beyond basic washes (like, even the option to just rinse and spin) you have to use the app. And let me tell you, on iOS the app sucks! It's slow and hard to use. It notifies you of LG offers (which you can't turn off) and nags you to clean your tub all the time. It still doesn't offer much customization of wash cycles. (Want a hot rinse and fast spin? Sorry, can't do that!) Do yourself a favor and pick a washer that just washes your clothes without the need for stupid controls!

    Love/hate

We moved across country and had to leave our kenmore elite set behind. We had to replace the ancient matyags left by the seller of our house and were excited to get these. They clean fine, save water, and hopefully will lower utility bills. The only thing we really hate is the loud banging noises thru the pipes that make us jump. I'm not looking forward to finding someone to deal with that. The gas dryer does a lousy job drying clothes

    Great washer

I’ve had this washer for about two weeks, it gets the job done cleans beautifully, doesn’t need as much detergent. My only question would be as far as the softener goes, if it gets distributed at the correct time? I use fabric softener and I can never smell it on my clothes. Is this a defect or what would I be able to do... other than that, no complaints.

    Disaster.

I have come to terms with the fact that modern technology is both advanced and incredibly pathetic. The fact that there is not a setting to add a water level more toward an individual liking is an epic fail. I have since purchased a GE. Now I get it that the LG are suppose to be the best when it comes to ratings and consumers reports. But after using my new GE 5+ cubic ft washer, I have realized the better set up for myself. You can add more water beyond just a “deep fill”, and the impeller is a higher rise. The problem with the LG impeller is that it sets so low that it doesn’t rotate the clothes as well. The delay on the buttons when you press them can be incredibly annoying. This is not the case with the GE. Nothing worth complaining about in comparison. I will gladly take the GE over this LG even if it’s rated higher. At least I won’t be getting angry every time I want to do a load.
