Junk - failed at barely 2 years old.

It might be the system board, it might be the noise filter, it might be a short that would wipe out another system board if not found. Appliance repairman advised us by the time the issue is tracked down and parts (on back order of course) we would be in at 1/2 to 3/4 the price of a new machine. Never going to buy another LG product again.

You don’t get what you paid for

After cost of service call and parts, it will cost me over $600 to repair. 2 adult household and probably 2 loads per week. I definitely did not get what I paid for and seriously considering buying something without all the bells and whistles because all I need is clean clothes. Not to mention repair guys are so backed up that it could be over a month before I can do laundry again

We have owned it for 4 years and within the first 12 months of owning, we have had to replace the motherboard multiple times. You have to unplug it and let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then plug it back in to get it to start. We owned a LG set prior and gave it to our daughter. It’s 15+ years old and not had any issues.

A Terrible Experience

It is overall defective in its design and manufacturing I believe. It practically fell apart within 2 years of use, leaking water and flooding the laundry room at every use. Never experienced anything like it. Previous washing machines we used have lasted well over 10 years. Customer service was very unhelpful, complete waste of time.

Have netgear extender right next to the washer.. wifi signal is great. phone and hd cameras stream fine.. using 2.4 as requested. the washer goes through the setup but never connects to the access pt, as it doesnt show up. I have tried two different washer.. and two differnt access points.

The hot water never worked and since we hadn't had the time to be at the condo due to family illnesses, we scheduled warrantee repair about 9 months after purchase. After going through several phone calls to make sure the Geek Squad hadn't reversed the hoses etc we scheduled out the LG Service folks out on a warranty call. They totally missed their scheduled times and basically blew us off with no status updates, phone calls or any indication that they wouldn't make the service appointment. Trying to resolve the service schedule was a complete disaster. We are fed up and will never buy another Best Buy or LG appliance again. We just don't need this crap!!! We will probably just buy different appliances and throw these away, they are not worth the overall stress.

Terrible for bulky items…

Even worse, if you try and just run the spin cycle to get rid of the water, it adds more water and makes it worse. You have to physically remove the article and ring it out.

Works great...til it breaks twice

Was under warrant and LG was great and fixed it. It is now a few months later and having the issue again. The washer will not turn on. Warranty has expired. So basically, the washer will need to be fixed two times in under 13 months.

HORRIBLE Washing Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned this washing machine for almost a year, and hated it from the first time I used it, and every single time since then. The sensor water fill feature is HORRIBLE. Most of the time it barely adds enough water to cover half of your clothes, so no only does the washing machine destroy your clothes due to not having enough water, but it does not property wash them. If you use the "Water Plus" feature, it typically fills the washer with so much water that your clothes do not get washed property (they just float at the top of the tub while the agitator spins), and wastes a ton of water while doing so. I am a 44yr old educated male who has done his own laundry for the past 30yrs, and owned several washing machines throughout my life, and THIS ONE IS BY FAR THE WORST. If a washing machine cannot properly sense the right amount of water to use (and you have no control over it), the everything else it supposedly does not matter. The right amount of water is critical to washing clothes. Would take my money back and business elsewhere in a heartbeat.

Posted .This is a high efficiency (HE) washer. As a result, the water level settings for this washer may be different than for a conventional washer. I assure you that it is normal to not have the water fill up to the top of the tub. For each cycle setting the amount of water used is predetermined to give you the best wash.
Also you can change the wash cycle pre-settings by using the cycle modifiers on the control panel. If you want additional water you can manually select Heavy as your Soil setting to achieve this goal. Control Panel malfunctions

You have to pull out the washer, unplug, reset and plug back in to make it work again. It's a huge inconvenience and is not covered by the warranty. Not built to last!!

Do not waste your money

Then the reset is ridiculous (it sparks when you plug back in) is not a permanent fix. So each week you have to cross your fingers that it starts back up. I have even changed the noise filter and guess what, not the answer. For the cost of a service tech to diagnose the problem then purchasing the washer circuit board I might as well buy a new washing machine. I got 10 years out of my Samsung. LG, do better!!!
