I bought a replacement before warentee was out

It seemed great for almost a.month, then it stopped. If I didn't use a little bleach, it smelled funny. The filter clogs and you don't get notice that it's getting there it just atops. The app it wants you to use isn't especially intuitive or informative. Last straw was, out of nowhere, a couple months from a year, it decided that the door wasn't closing, though i'm fair certain it was closing just fine, that the computer decided otherwise. I went throw gh extensive trouble shooting online hefore trying to get the free warentee fix. Spent almost an hour on the phone to be told that no one nearby could fix it, that they could get me an appointment time, not and appointment, within 48 hours, no hint when the actual appointment would be. They wanted to keep me on the phone longer, but i had work so that got cancelled. 48 hours of laundry cost me $15 in laundromat costs to just wash. Since i could get a bigger, reliable toploader that doesn't regularly and randomly break down for a hundred bucks less, i saved myself the headache.

Hi, Merp. We appreciate you sharing your detailed experience with the LG Washer (WM3470CW) model. It's clear you've gone through a lot, and we truly understand your concern about a product that initially performs well begins to show multiple issues—especially when it impacts your daily routine and budget. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations.

The odor concern is often related to residual moisture in the tub, so running the Tub Clean cycle with bleach once a month helps keep things fresh. You may visit this link for guidance: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-washer-how-to-clean-the-tub-of-your-lg-washing-machine--20150635948425. For the filter, we recommend cleaning the drain pump filter every 1–2 months, especially if you’re washing bulky or high-lint items. While the Smart Diagnosis feature and ThinQ app are designed to assist, we recognize it can feel limiting when it doesn’t provide immediate clarity for complex issues—especially something like the door sensor error, which can sometimes be fixed by firmly pressing the door and holding the Start button for 5 seconds to reset detection.

We definitely want to review your service concerns more closely. Please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport so we can take a deeper look and assist you directly. We want to ensure our support team gives you the level of service you deserve. ^Juvy LG

I was heartbroken when my 20 year old Kenmore died on us, because it worked so well, and it would definitely be a hard act to follow. I didn't want a smart washer, because I want function, not useless gimmicks, so I was very pleased to find this large capacity LG washer that can handle large liads, such as quilts and rugs. It spins so well, that it takes much less for things to dry in the dryer. It works great!

After years of fighting Samsung appliance unreliability, we decided to change to LG for our laundry needs. So far, they have performed flawlessly. They Do Not have a programmable default setting though, which I was disappointed to discover.

My new LG washer and dryer have made a huge difference in my laundry routine—it’s so much quicker and easier now. The settings are straightforward, and I’m really happy with how well it cleans and dries everything without causing extra wear on my clothes. Plus, it’s super quiet, which makes a noticeable improvement in my home environment.

Love the capacity and ease of this machine. Is also quiet. Replaced 14 + yr model that was supposed have only lasted 10, so that right there says a lot as well. As with any front loader, you have to wipe down the door and rubber gasket after each wash as well as pop the soap tray out and let it air dry as to not get mold build up, but if you’re not lazy and don’t mind doing that, this gets your clothes cleaner than all the new top loader machines with the water saver restrictions now a days. The only better product is a Speed Queen, but if you can’t afford that, this is the way to go.

Bought 2 months ago. Excellent. I had an upright impeller washer - HATED it...took advice from a friend who uses this brand front loader washer every day with multiple loads - kids, dogs, dog blanket etc. Now I can wash multiple blankets at the same time which I could not do with the impeller. Queen comforter washes perfectly. Everything feels clean and thoroughly washed. Very happy.

I would give 5 stars but the door seems to not close too easily like it doesn't line up 100% but it will close if you do it slowly. Good capacity but not recommended for biggest comforters and blankets.

Coming from a top load washer that lasted 12 years after the seals leaked and flooded the laundry. We decided to get Front Load Washer because of better cleaning with toss ups. We were worried about vibrations but this thing doesn’t even sound almost at all in wash cycle. Just minor vibrations in full spin cycle which is normal. Very impressed. Bought it for $800, then got $50 for price drop upon request. Thanks Best Buy. Hopefully it’ll last a long time :)
