    This unit replaced the Kenmore Elite that was a bit larger and was a work horse. We only replaced it because the LG is a little smaller and will fit our space better. The LG does not have the bells and whistles of the Kenmore but frankly, we didn't use them. So far we are very happy with this unit.

    I wish I had never bought this washer. It has a smell that will not go away. I checked with Best Buy, but my 60 days had expired. I contacted the manufacturer, LG. They told me I needed to clean the tub, door gasket, and soap dispenser after each cycle. It is crazy unbelievable to think the washer needs that much work to use daily. They made it seem like I needed to do more to try and remove the smell. They tried to blame our house's old plumbing. The house is under five years old, and I have been a plumber for over nine years. I would not buy an LG product. The customer support from LG was terrible, and once the service rep disconnected rather than continue with me. I reconnected with a different rep, and they were equally bad.
