It is pulling the threads on many of the synthetic clothes. All my newer sheets with microfiber have pulls all over them, and my favorite set ended up with rips and had to be thrown out. I have been hand washing my favorite clothes. There was no user abuse because I am a very, very careful person who reads instruction books cover to cover. The spin cycle is crazy fast. My husband and I ran our hands all over the drum many times and could never find any protruding metal pieces that could be causing the problem. Others on-line have had this problem although LG denies it is a problem, even though I sent them pictures. The washer is perfectly level. Very disappointed.

Buyer Beware: Clothes don't get fully wet and more

It has an inherent fault: when starting, it rotates back and forth a few times to weigh the load and to see if it is balanced, but then it does moderate to fast, short spin, that forces the dry, dirty clothes upward to the sides of the drum. When the water starts filling, and agitation starts, there is not enough water in the washer, and you have an upper layer of clothes that did not descend back into the small amount of water in the wash when agitation began. I stood there watching the entire wash cycle, and that layer of clothes never got fully wet, therefore not fully washed. And... The User Guide and book are both generic and are written for all models of LG HE style, non-agitator washers. They describe actions, like "Options" you can select to remedy issues like increasing the water in the washer. Those features are NOT part of this supposed 5-Star washer. There is a DEEP WASH feature that literally fills the entire deep/wide washer drum with water which is overkill. And... There is no Quick Wash like on my previous Samsung washer, and if you select "Heavy Duty" for things like bath towels, that cycle is TWO (2) hours long...you can't change it. I will be going to Best Buy in the morning to arrange returning it so I can buy a better, more featured and functional washer that actually gets your clothes wet enough to be washed thoroughly. REALLY DISAPPOINTED.

I can wash a queen size comforter in it with no problem. I like that it selects the size of the load and adjusts the wash time. With less water usage, it cuts down the dry time too. I replaced a 1960s washer and wish I had done it sooner!
