    LG 5.0 Washer Purchase date 6-26-2023 Delivery date 6-28-2023 If I could enter NO stars, I would. This experience, with this LG product, AND Best Buy, has, so far, been deplorable! This machine, in "normal wash" mode only provides 3-4 inches of water in the bottom of the drum, agitating dry clothes on top and twisting the wet clothes at the bottom into knots and braids. One favorite blouse came out of this machine with a shredded collar! I do not have standard hookups in the basement of my home, so I made separate arrangements to have the machine hooked up, rather than task the delivery team with it. THIS TOOK TIME. When the machine was providing too little water I went to the troubleshooting checklist where I learned this machine is NOT designed to COMPLETELY COVER the clothes in water! It was the first time I'd heard that. The checklist included checking water source, all water lines and filters before calling. I'm older, retired, and required some help with this. A plumber has installed a toggle on the water lines, no question, full open supply. Fill hoses and filters were checked. ALL THIS TOOK TIME. I've tried different settings and 'water plus'. Not enough water. I've had to rewash every load in deepwash where it is very apparent, by the filthy water, that the rinse failed for too little water! When I found my blouse damaged, I called to return the machine. From purchase date to my call was 21 DAYS. I was told I'd missed the return window by 7 DAYS. The customer service representative was apologetic but her hands were tied. All she could arrange was a service appointment to 'evaluate' the problem. The service call is happening a week BEYOND 30 DAYS, and I'm without a working machine. A new $700.00 dollar machine, and I need to go to a laundromat. I am appalled at the poor quality and/or functionality of this machine. I am appalled this was not a simple return, of a defective machine, to Best Buy, within 30 days. I anticipate a better resolution to this problem via the service call.

    It's okay. Made the switch from a front load to this. Front loader seems to do a better job all around. Doesn't seem to agitate/mix items that well.

    Glass lid has poor hinges

    Product was 17 months old and right hinge on lid opening stuck bending lid. Can't be repaired. Cost of replacement Lid $332 and repair estimate to install $160. With Tax over $700. Cheaper to purchase a new model vs repairing a bad hinge

    Dont Buy from Best Buy

    Again you cant control the water temp on specific cycles. It just weird. Makes no sense. It also take an hour to wash clothes, what is with that, some cycles over an hour. Again you cant control temp of water, the spin cycle etc. you have to use what they have on the washer and that is that.

    Not worth it. Buy a good german machine.

    I bought a WT7800 model 3 years ago and till today it is unreliable and giving me headaches. the tech came so far more than six times. 2 times to replace parts, to order parts, parts were wrong, he re ordered and now the washer still make this sound like it is about to give up any moment. Last friday I got an appointment for today and the appointment has been cancelled without my knowledge, and here i am waiting and waiting for the tech to arrive. After several calls today they give me another appointment 12 days from now. At this point my warranty is about to expire next month. Hope they can fix it. Never again. Never best buy. Never LG. Bad communication and bad service.

    Very dissatisfied

    It’s been over 3 years since we bought this washing machine. We spent $300 more for this over the agitator styles and we still feel like we wasted our money. There’s never enough water, even after using the water plus button. My wife is having to rewash again because some of her clothes have dry spots. It never removes stains unless you pre scrub the stain. She wishes we could afford to get rid of it and go back to agitator style.

    not worth buying

    This unit does not know how much water to use. 9 out of 10 uses it give's you about 1/4 af the water you need. If you restart it 3 times you can usually get it up to where you need it. After that, it actualy works good then. Its all about trying to control your water usage.

    I wish you could try washer before buying. Every cycle is long, over an hour. No fast, delicate cycle. Bedding is difficult.

      The washer automatically adjusts the wash time for the amount of laundry, water pressure and other operating conditions. Larger loads with water resistant/proof bedding items, will take longer as the washer needs to modify its spin cycles to prevent an out of balance issue. ^Jennifer LG
