stay away I trough away $1,000 buck and I hate to admit to it. none of the store have it properly set up after 15 days of calling LG and speaking to geek squad at several stores no one had an answer store warranty expire so I got

Starting to loose sound connection after 3 years. Would not recommend this product. Tech support very poor.

I would like to say first that this sound bar is awesome, which for $800, it really should be. BUT you HAVE to do your research on this unit. In order to use this soundbar to its true potential, A. You need an HDMI cable, either going into the soundbar, or using your TV's HDMI ARC connection. B. You're gonna need a BluRay player that decodes DOLBY ATMOS, I bought a used Xbox One S. C. You're going to have to find movies that offer ATMOS. I found a list online that listed all the REGULAR BR that are ATMOS and UHD BR that are ATMOS. There is no doubt that your regular movies, even if you aren't using true ATMOS settings, will sound better. But if you're getting a $800 soundbar, you're gonna want to use it to its potential! Moral of the story, don't pay the full $900 for this sound bar, at the moment when there really isn't widely used content. I got this sound bar in a bundle package for around $700 and I still haven't found a movie that I found myself going WOW. I would suggest a good Mid-Range soundbar if you don't need the "Bells and Whistles"

Turns off randomly. Poor clarity for center voice channel. If not muddy, it's almost not existent.

I had bad luck with this sound bar. I could not get it to work no matter what i tried so i called lg customer service and they were no help

SOUNDBAR WAS CONSTANTLY SYNCING IN & OUT. LG WAS NO HELP, EXCHANGED IT FOR SAMSUNG.

Not easy to set up as far as settingsCalled LG support no help they said return it to store or sent back for repair

Less then a month old and it quit working and lg wants me to send it back and let them have it for 2 months to fix it

It keeps disconnecting randomly, even after power cycling everything, and reconnecting.

If you are thinking about it, Just go buy it. This soundbar is incredible. I purchased this along side a C7P OLED and the atmos sound is truly and experience. I just can't get over it. Also, I watched college football all weekend and the games sound great through the bar. The voices are very clear and back round cheering and such add an element to the game (depending on what setting you have it on) When you set the bar on base blast, it is unbelievable how good it is. Again, Dolby through this soundbar is a experience like no other. I'm sure you can build a Dolby home theater system that is better, but why. This thing rocks and it is one simple wire. I strongly recommend the SJ9 and I believe it makes a better purchase combined with the C7P than either the E7 or the G7 with their attached soundbars.

Very EZ hookup to my LG Oled. and even tho my 2016 LG Oled doesn't decode Atmos, when I play a 4-K dvd thru the HDMI on this bar, the BAR DOES DECODE THE ATMOS ! FANTASTIC EFFECTS - GET ONE! I find it fills my smaller apt. at a 20 setting - super clear voices also!

I believe that many reviews come from non owners of these bars. The bass module is awesome, very well built and very clean bass. The bar itself is too gimmicky, too many tricks in one basket I guess. Actually the sound is quite nice, the problem is there's no way this thing is 500 watts rms and that's where the problem lies, it just doesn't have enough volume. It's good for normal TV watching but not for football games, music shows like the Voice or American Idol. I'm going to bite the bullet and try to get a couple of hundred dollars for it on Craigslist and get something better, hopefully for no more than than the $1,000.00 this one cost.

Amazing! How anyone can’t love this soundbar is beyond me. The Atmos is really cool and everything else sounds fantastic. I’ve heard complaints about the bass and that too rumbles all the walls. This is not your average soundbar, this thing is awesome!!

For some reason there were a couple reviews that had me cautious on this sound bar when talking about HDMI and issues. The only thing I can think is that they did not read the instructions and use and HDMI (ARC) port on the TV. I have it connected with fiber optic and it sounds incredible. Great price because I got it on sale at $750. Very happy with it and would buy again in a heartbeat.

I have the Samsung HW-MS750 with Subwoofer and satellite surrounds and the combo sounds excellent. Deep bass and crisp highs. You can hurt your eardrums or enjoy any type music with aplomb. Audiophile sound quality. I have the SH7 which over performs for its price. A bit boomy but it brings down the house. I have the SJ8 which has clearer highs and better vocals than the SH7B but lacks bass and the volume is only effective 2/3s the way up and it will not get any louder. That’s sad because a bit more boom would make this the system to get. Last but least, I have the SJ9. It’s sound is clear throughout. Nice treble, crisp highs and deep guttural bass, not as deep as my Samsung but as accurate is not more so. The SJ9, using ARC, limits the maximum sound early but unlike the SJ8, it sufficient and volumes goes up 4/5s the way the stops. If you have an LG 4K TV, the SJ9 is the way to go.

Overall very good product but I had issues getting it connect to my WiFi. Android apps downloaded from the store were not able to complete the Wifi setup after 4h of trying by following manual's instructions. Luckily I've found the Windows APP (LG MUSIC FLOW) from there website which surprisingly worked.

I just returned my second SJ9. I have the same setup as some of you, 65 E6 with and Xbox One S. No go, i tried $100 worth of cables, software updates. Resets. EVERYTHING. Nothing worked, constantly having HDMI issues. If and when I could get a UHD HDR disc to play through, I wouldn't have ATMOS. If I was able to get ATMOS, HDR wouldn't work, it would take upwards of 15 seconds to get a signal. Half the time it said "Invalid Signal". Mainly it was just a bunch of white screes, pink screens and the occasional flashing white triangles. Yes, I was using certified cables. I tried different inputs. Nothing worked. I'm over it. When I could hear it, it was amazing. Disappointed in LG. This thing worked 10 percent of the time, and even then not correctly. Total time invested: 4 hours.

Don't waste your money on this product. The price is ridiculous for something that just doesn't deliver on sound or functionality. The product appears well made as both the sound bar and subwoofer are heavy. Functionality is horrible. The Music flow app doesn't work. It is excessively tedious to try to play music from your iTunes library to the sound bar. 99% of the time it will not connect. The bass from this system is pathetic. I always buy Bose but though I'd give LG a try since my TV is LG. Never again! My main purpose for buying this system was to be able to play music to it from my phone as part of a larger wifi whole house system but the Music flow app renders it impossible. Do not waste your money on this thing!!!

Disappointed is not close to the word I need. The only time I have heard height is with the Dolby trailer "Leaf". That's only because there's no other sounds at the time. Had issues with the sub and learned that LG customer service is awful. .
