I've had my LG washer for about 5 weeks and love my machine!!! I had a front loading LG for about 9 years. My Mom had recently past away and I inherited her NEW Kenmore Elite top loader, which was less than a year old, so I decided to keep hers and sell my LG. BAD DECISION, within 1 month I wanted my LG back. So I sold my Mom's washer and got this 5.1 cu ft LG washer and I absolutely love it!! My whites come out REALLY white, it is very quiet compared to my first LG washer, it uses minimal water, and I love the super capacity. So far I have not had any unbalanced loads like I did with the Kenmore top loader. Clothes have minimal tangles and come out dryer than with the top loader due to the high speed spin cycles. One day I thought the cycle was done and it was still running; it is that quiet. The cycles are not horrifically long even with the sanitary cycle. King size comforters are a breeze! I have 4 German shepherds and they tend to shed a great deal. With the front filtration system I can clean it out easily and not have a clogged system, top loaders do not give you that option. I really like the fact that it has an allergen cycle due to my dogs. Best Buy did a great job installing it quickly and easily. No balancing issues. I do have to state that my husband built me a solid pedestal/shelf for the washer and dryer to sit on rather than the pedestals that are sold separately and I believe that has made a difference as well. The only negative comment I have is that it is hard to read the display as options do not light up very well...other than that.... I love my LG washer!!!

I just washed two weeks' worth of clothes in less than a day--7 loads! That is my normal weekly wash in my old GE machine., and it would take all day Sat and Sun. This LG steam washer is a dream come true. I purchased it solely for the capacity, but I have been incredibly pleased with the features. I was surprised to discover the fresh care feature that will cycle the tub periodically for up to 18-19 hours so that if you forget you have clothes in the machine, they won't get mildewy. This feature alone makes the washer worth it because I generally throw in a load at night before bed and then another load in the morning before I go to work. I have used the Whites, Normal, Towels, and Permanent Press cycles so far. All have been super quiet and the longest cycle was an hour and three minutes. So far, the machine has done an excellent job of extracting water from the clothes. I didn't use the term wring or spin the water because if you are used to old school machines, like me, these words evoke thoughts of misshapen, stretched out, wrinkled, even torn clothing. Not here, I promise! I purchased this machine Labor Day and got a banging deal. Even if I had paid full price, this machine is worth it and more! If you are considering purchasing this machine, DO IT! If you haven't considered this machine, YOU SHOULD!

This is by far the best washing machine I have ever used. I love everything about this washer. The capacity is outstanding!! It has tons of cycles that you will probably never use, but on the chance that you do, they are wonderful! It is quiet and cleans my clothes wonderfully! The cost is a bit much, but I can say that my utility bill has gone down considerably since I purchased this machine. I am washing fewer loads of clothes, in less time, and with less water. I am also using much less laundry detergent and fabric softener. ALL AROUND A GREAT BUY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing the pedestal if you don't want to spend a lot of time bending over and reaching in a humongous drum...oh and definitely the matching dryer!!

We just moved into a new home and ordered this washer (and the dryer that goes with it) after reading all the reviews and specs on it. We are so happy with our purchase. We've only had it maybe 3 weeks, but I washed every single washable thing we own (because we moved from an old nasty apartment with mold, dust and pests) immediately, and I've been using it daily since. My favorite things are the sanitary and allergiene cycles (I'm a germophobe and we all have bad allergies...so this makes me really happy) and that you can do super large loads (save time and money) AND it's Energy Star. Clothes are clean, machine looks beautiful. ONLY potential issue is my pipes kinda knock with the sudden bursts of water the washer lets in, but I understand that's something I need to take care of myself ...probably need to turn house water pressure down anyway.

My wife had purchased a LG set before we were married and convinced me of their performance and utility. After a year I must totally agree. I read a lot of reviews, went through all the details of all the top rated models and brands and picked this unit and the matching dryer. Bulky items are no problem with the size of the opening and drum. Things are clean and even with gentle/low spin, items are nearly dry before moving to the dryer. Very satisfied.

If it wasn't such a hassle to return this machine, I would. It does not do well with dog hair. If you have animals, do not purchase this machine.

Large capacity, lots of features and settings, quiet operation and gets the clothes clean. This washer did not disappoint. Plus good sale price at BestBuy.

Had this washer for about two weeks. unfortunately, the top sprayer inside the washer continues to leak after the cycle ends. Went to Best Buy and they are exchanging it. Hopeflly, it this will not happen with the new one. I previously owned a LG washer and this one is 10 times better. It has all the features you can want in a front load and it definately gets the clothes clean. I can't even hear it, when it spins...and if it becomes out of balance, It knows how to slow the spin and re adjust to balance it. The only complaint i do have is the door is a little flimsy... It could dent very easly. Over all... Love it!

Wife wanted a larger washer/dryer since we have four kids and she does laundry almost daily. The LG is quiet and it fits about twice as much as our previous one. We have them stacked and it works well. Recommend getting the water hammer arrestor at your local hardware store to prevent the banging sound you get with high efficiency washers.

This washer has plenty of cycle options to meet everyone's needs. Quiet operation with fantastic new features like Turbowash and steam cleaning. Only disappointment is control panel. It is very difficult to see some panel displayed functions due to poor panel lighting.

I have owned this washer since March 2015. It replaced an old washer with a basin that fills with water. We are a family of 5, all wearing adult sized clothing. Since buying this washer, my electric and water bills are both notably lower. The time I have saved doing laundry each week is amazing. I previously did 1-2 loads daily, 7 days a week for approximately 10 loads weekly. Now I do laundry one day a week in 5 loads. Be good to yourself and buy this washer. You won't regret it.

This washer handles any size load with ease. I have a king sized bed and usually had to go to a laundromat to clean my comforters and blankets. No more. This machine has a tremendous drum and enables you to wash anything. It senses the size of the load and adjusts for any type of article. Very easy to use and not at all noisy. Only con is that it is pricey. Hope it lasts and is worth the money in the long run. So far so good.

Returned my Premium Samsung HE top loader; very unhappy camper. Love my LG Front loader; Easy to use and the performance has been great so far. My clothes have been coming out spectacular and i really don't have any complaints and look forward to using the ex-large capacity for large bulky items. Thank You LG!

In buying this washer, you need to buy 2 new hoses from bestbuy. I did not need them since I had my original.hoses from the other washer I was replacing. They will not install it unless you have new hoses. You can install it yourself without buying them. . Was told the turbo wash uses more water. I wanted more water because the front load washers do not use enough water but the sale's person said the turbo cycle uses more water. Unfortunately, I do not know if this was true. Great big machine if you have a large family

VERY NICE! WORKS GREAT, VERY QUITE, HOLDS A TON OF CLOTHES!!

Ordered these guys and realized before delivery that you need about 4-5" more than the specifications say for ventilation. We unfortunately were 2" short and couldn't open the door to the garage with these...we went one set smaller to the 4070 model...they are great. Super efficient, quiet, and good at cleaning baby laundry, delicates, and the dog beds.

My LG washer is great at deep cleaning my family clothes from my newborns spit up to my older childrens grass stains is surpasses my expectations. The washer also gets deep stains out of my delicates without shrinking or tearing them. It's also energy efficient using minimal water.

I got the matching dryer too and these things are huge. They dont vibrate or make much noise. My one complaint on this is that regardless of how many times I rinse the clothes or up the water temperature, the machine wont get all of the detergent smell out of my clothes. I air dry most of my clothing and they always have that lingering soap smell. This however, is also very possibly the fault of the soap. But this thing is so efficient that it uses less water than you might expect, so perhaps there isnt much soaking TO get that soap out. All in the name of efficiency I suppose. When placed into the dryer the soap smell is eliminated. I want to point out that I misplaced the manual for this thing and customer service got me a digital copy within 5 minutes of my contacting them. Sometimes you need the manual to try and take advantage of all of the possible settings on this machine, I've only used half of them so far. I would definitely buy this again. Doing laundry has never been so quick and effortless. I can fit 3 normal loads of laundry into this behemouth.

Our washer died on Father's day this year. I wanted a washer that could fit my king-sized comforter. I hate going to the laundromat and half the time the washers there, don't work. I was so impressed that my comforter fit in this washer. Contrary to what the description says, I wouldn't be able to fit my comforter AND a set of bedding in the washer but as long as the comforter fits, I'm happy. It's got all the bells and whistles and so far, I love it!! I would recommend to a friend.

Very pleasing in appearance. Does a fantastic job cleaning clothes? Much quieter than our previous washer. Love all the extra features.
