I chose this LG HighEfficiency with an Agitator after my Maytag WITHOUT an Agitator (impeller) transition died after 6 years…and the 10 year warranty didn’t cover the fail. An Agitator definitely cleans your clothes better and I believe is mechanically stronger. With an impeller, the tub is the whole churning action putting more stress on the mechanical parts. LOVE my new LG (And, LG gets high marks from consumers). P.S. on sale with $300 off!

LOVE IT! Had the pair about a month now and love them. Last set were 23 years old...gottta love Kenmore. Yes the new one is a littlsle weird, not so sure about the normal wash and the water level, so I tried deep wash (not deep fill - which is great option for large loads) but deep wash allows enough water to really get the clothes clean. Figure out the quirks between how you washed before to how these machines work and you will dig these. Quiet too. Mine are in my house, barely hear them. So far so good!!!

We have had this about 3 weeks and have yet to find anything we dislike. Very quiet. So glad we opted for agitator versus impeller. Love the large capacity.

This is the 2nd LG Smart Washer we've owned. Love it. Love the agitator, the quiet, the efficiency, and huge capacity.

It is a modern washer with high-tech. It can clean clothes better, wash clothes more gently, save energy, and quiet. It has a big bin for a lot of clothes. You can choose from many washing programs as well as download others.

Works amazing, very easy to operate, very big inside and nice that you can see inside without opening the lid.

Great washer, couldnt be happier with it's size and efficiency. Wish I had bought it a long time ago, I am able to wash twice the amount of clothes at a time due to the large size. Highly recommend!

We purchased the LG 5.3 cu. ft. High-Efficiency Smart Top Load Washer with 4-way agitator to replace our 33-year-old (yes, 33 years!) Maytag washer, which finally died. We also bought the matching LG 7.3 cu. ft. Smart Gas Dryer to replace our 33-year-old Whirlpool gas dryer (which was still working!). Both the washer and dryer have worked flawlessly. The washer is very quiet and uses much less water than our old Maytag. The controls are also very intuitive to use. It cleans the clothes very well and handles delicate items and heavier items such as towels equally well. needs to be set for a little longer drying time if some of the items are a heavier fabric than more "delicate" Items. We haven't tried washing comforters or blankets yet, but we're confident that they could handle those items very well.

We bought this washer because our last LG washer without the agitator was constantly going out of balance. Over the 10 years we had that washer it would periodically go out of balance, but progressively for worse over the years. We tried all the"fixes" none worked. Eventually, it was simply too frustrating and time to replace. Reading the concerns about this washers water level we had reserves, but felt that if needed we could use the extra water option in that was the case so we would try it. Since having best buy come out and install the machine (free with our membership) we have ran multiple loads a week through the machine. We've had light loads, heavy leads, towels, bedding, you name it. Not one time have we had the machine go uneven. I'll add that though it would appear that the water level seemed low when looking in, all our loads have came out clean. My assumption is that we simple have been trained to associate all the extra water we saw as needed when it wasn't. We have never added more water, simply let the machine run and it has always done a great job despite appearances of the level of water. I suggest you close the lid and walk away, it works perfectly everytime. This machine is considerably louder than or last. If you are tired of a machine without a agitator going out of balance i recommend going back to the agitator like we did. No more issues, just as much cc capacity, clean clothes, less water, and fast cycles.

This unit replaced a Maytag which failed after 10 months. Far more quiet than the prior model. Seems to get the job done. We've only had it a month, so we'll see long it lasts. The good news is that Best Buy replaced the defective model without hassle and gave us a $200 credit as the new unit cost less. Wow.

Everything was as advertised. Very quiet , easy to use . Cleans the cloths with ease as well.

Wonderful machine. Cleans really well. Just had to replace my 4 year old Samsung. Clothes seem cleaner coming out of this one. The capacity is great. Love how much I can get in there and it's only 1/2 full. The only thing is, watch out for the lid - it will "soft close" unless completely open, so I've had it land on my head a couple of times when I haven't ensured it's opened all the way before I try taking a load out.

Washer is amazing . Easy to use and gets the clothes very clean. The washer is large enough to do my comforter and my only issue with it is it is difficult to reach the bottom because I’m short

Not only beautiful to look at but it does a great job of getting our laundry done with great results. It senses the load and takes it from there. I’m so happy I purchased this washer. Quiet and very efficient results.

Love my washer. Does big loads and gets the clothes super clean. Not very noisy and has plenty of extra features. I notice some have commented that the auto fill does not work correctly and I cannot comment on that. I use the deep clean for each wash. If you’re short it could be a problem as the washer is deep. Might need a footstool.

Excellent capacity, very easy to load and unload. Can be paired to your cell phone and operated remotely. It has settings for every possible type of load. Very quiet and reasonably priced at Best Buy.

So far I really like this washer. I wash everything on deep wash which I feel gets clothes cleaner. Tub is deep and sometimes I have to stand on tip toes to get things out, but I don't mind because I wanted the larger capacity. My only complaint is the detergent drawer fills with water and doesn't always drain out during the cycle. Luckily the entire drawer pulls out so you can dump the water out.

We purchased this machine because of the noise rating. We need to put it jn a room that is open to the living room and our old one was noisy. This machine is quiet, easy to use, and gets your close super clean. For $200 they delivered it, which for us being 90 miles away from the closest store was a bargain. They were on time and friendly. Thank you Best Buy.

This is the most quiet and efficient washing machine I have ever owned. LOVE it!!! Large tub makes it easy for larger loads. Love everything about it.

If I could go back in time I'd choose the LG 5.5 Impeller. YES IT COMES WITH ALL THE PARTS power cord, hoses, drain hoses. At no additional cost. I was skeptical about that because it said it didn't. Which is a error on this site. Note: on the instructions manual it says only wash 1 big bulky bed sheet at a time. However I am lazy, and decided to wash my entire bed sheets, bulky covers in 1 round. Cons 1. The agitator on this machine is there for decoration. 2. Gets in the way of big bedding loads. 3. Moves slow 4. Time it takes to wash ( I personally don't care about the time. it's like a hour to 38 minutes per load.) 5. The SLOW washing motion of the agitator TELLS YOU THAT (LG EXCLUSIVELY MENT FOR THIS PRODUCT TO BE IMPELLER ONLY). The impeller version of this device is much better, and the way to go. 6. This washing machine will basically wash the same as the impeller. Even though it's an agitator washer. The con is the agitator of this machine gets in the way on big bulky loads, sheets, bedding. 7. I couldn't connect this machine to my spectrum wifi network. I guess my network didn't take it. Testing the agitator: When I was testing it washing huge sized big bedding loads. Covers get caught up on top of the agitator, and i have to stop the machine, and manually move the sheet off the top of the agitator so it doesn't break or malfunction. (It was a illegal bulky oversized load) for testing purposes. I know the LG 5.5 impeller washer can handle it. Pros 1. The spin cycle on this machine is fantastic!!! Handle that illegal oversized load of bedding sheets fantastic. 2. Cleans clothes, clothes smell great. 3. Regular washing whole entire wardrobe basket of clothes is great. I'm a boy I don't have much clothes but it's a big basket full. 4. Looks beautiful in the house. 5. The agitator does a lil something something. But impeller is the better version of this machine. 6. Doesn't use much water to clean clothes. (this may be a con for some, but you can put a setting where it fills the washing machine maxed out with water.) 7. Quiet 8. See through glass window so I can see it wash. I am still keeping this agitator washing machine. It's not a bad machine, as long as it works. It's the exact same as the LG 5.5 impeller washer but slightly smaller with a slow agitator.
