We have a history with LG appliances. We replaced a 13 year-old washer, which was also an LG. That washer had very minimal issues over the years, but started to rust near the bleach intake. This model has a plastic surround where the bleach is added, so there will no longer be a concern of rust forming there. It has detergent and softener reservoirs that are to be filled and will automatically dispense the correct amount. I am very skeptical of this performing well in the long run, but it has had no issues so far. The motor is similar to the last model and operates quietly. There are a large number of cycles and further options that are far beyond what we usually use. The machine looks very nice, with matte paint and a shiny glass top, if good looking appliances are your thing. Fingerprints do become an eyesore on the control panel, but only if you spend too much time doing laundry! I am most impressed with how much more stable the feet keep the machine during the spin cycle. The feet are more robust than the prior model and I have yet to experience issues with movement. We opted to go without the agitator again, which was largely influenced by our prior agitator-free LG washer having no issues with cleaning whatever was placed inside it. Overall, we are happy with the purchase.

Awesome Washer. Massive capacity, quiet and washes clothing nicely. Many smart functions to learn. Bought it as a washer/dryer combo. Happy so far.

I’m very happy with this washing machine. Being able to start a cycle using the app is really convenient and getting a notification that the load is done saves me from going up and down the stairs more than I need to ( I’m not getting any younger). I like that I can get a deep fill to cover all of the clothes- if there isn’t enough water to do that, I don’t feel that the clothes are really getting properly cleaned. The only negative issues I have are how long most of the cycles take and because I’m rather short, it’s difficult for me to reach into the tub to remove the clothes.

This machine has a large capacity and futuristic controls. It runs quietly, and cleans effectively, and finishes dry up top, reducing mold. If you have the space and money, this is recommended.

Washer is good until you need warranty work. We needed the suspension and shock absorbers replaced after 4 months. Sounded like a golf ball bouncing whenever the tub moved. All LG support is obviously non-US and pretty worthless. Took many hours to get someone to actually understand the issue and get a warranty claim started. LG did cover the $425 in parts/labor so that was good. The process should be way easier. Both repair technicians recommended Speed Queen.

I had to unfortunately had to replace my previous LG after over a decade of use. Easy pick to go with LG again? This is the top of the line for a top loading washer. More features than I needed but I don’t regret having all the added features. If you can budget the top model do it, if you can take a step down and have less cycles than go for that. But the added cycles was a benefit we didn’t need but now enjoy! Highly Recommend

LG washer &dryer are awesome! Quite first of all when in use. The clothes are cleaned and feel so soft. The technology of the product is above all others.

Best washing machine I ever purchased. Easy to use, puts in detergent and conditioner automatically. Very quiet, fast and clothes come out clean. I have cut my clothes in the washing machine and in out preforms my previous washing machine. what used to take 3.5 hours now takes a 1.5 hours and works far better.

Quiet machine. Washes well. Large basket. Hard to get used to low water levels, as it is high eficiency. Like the top load. No need to clean gaskets.

Love this washer. You can fill the detergent and forget about it as it automatically dispenses. Ive never had a problem with cleaning or leaving residue like some samsung washers. Paired with the same dryer they automatically connect so you dont have to choose which type of load your drying as it adjusts automatically.

Great washer, does an excellent job cleaning. It is very quiet and barely even vibrates in spin cycle. It has never once got off balance. The smart features are really nice and help save time. Also reccomend the paired dryer because they sync up and choose the correct setting. Very convenient. Highly reccomend.

The base of this unit is made of plastic. This plastic broke during delivery. Because Best Buy is responsible for warranty claims made within 48 hours of delivery, the unit's broken base was repaired by Best Buy in about 10 days. Just as soon as the base was repaired, the drain hose seam failed. At least when that happened the Geek Squad was still on site to witness it and put it on the same repair order for resolution later in the day. For a washing machine that retails for over a thousand dollars new as of this writing, $1,099 to be more precise, this should not be happening. My Maytag washer lasted 13 years, do you have the feeling that this will last 13 years given this review of my initial impressions of having this repaired twice in the first two weeks of ownership? Not likely. So, while it does wash clothes effectively, for now, I can say "wonderful". To the other not so ancillary considerations described previously, I can say "not so wonderful". Features I like on this washer are the dispenser, where you preload the soap and it auto-dispenses according to its needs that AI senses during prewash....and I do like that it connects to the LG app because then it allows for me to know when the laundry is done and when it needs removal. Those are features that I never had before and thought were tertiary considerations but I don't think I'd want another washer without those features now that I have them. Also, LG extended my warranty a year, for free, by registering on the app....which is very nice. I'm sure I'll need that warranty before it expires given my current experiences with the machine.

Elegant design & plenty of features. Capacity meets expectations & wash cycles are varied. Large capacity to store detergent & fabric softener for many loads.

Large capacity, no issues washing king size comforters. I like that I can set up cycles according to my preference and send them to the washer from my phone. Then all I have to do next time is set the cycle on the washer. I like the reminder that my wash is done as I do tend to forget about it. The tub is deep and I'm a shorty. I do have to stand on tiptoes to get to the bottom. Someone did recommend tongs. Lol However, no issues with the machine, you can wash a LOT of clothes at the same time which definitely helps with time management.
