Ive had each for 5-6 years and run them daily 3-5 loads. I always purchase the extended warranty for 5 years to get me through. This one has run very well so far. It was an adjustment with the soap dispenser. You don't have to pour in for each load. It self releases what it needs.

Why put the ski slope on the top?

It worked fine until it prompted for its second update. Now it won’t turn on. We have had it for about 5 months and now it won’t turn on and we are without a washer. We called BestBuy and they were no help and just forwarded us to LG. LG sent a technician out and after a few days, they showed up. He ordered parts to be sent to our house. They arrived and the tech was supposed to come back the day after the parts arrived and they had the tracking numbers to confirm that date. We scheduled for the tech to return on the afternoon the parts were to be delivered. I called them to confirm that morning and let them know that the parts had been delivered. A hour or so later, we get a text message saying that the tech cancelled the appointment and they are sorry for the inconvenience. We called LG, who at that point couldn’t reschedule a new appointment for 48 hours- so we waited two days to schedule a different tech to come help. When the new tech arrived, he noticed the first tech had ordered the wrong parts. (We are two weeks without a washer at this point in the story). That tech leaves and calls later in the day to let us know that the part he ordered is at least 4 weeks out. He said they will call us to schedule when they physically have the part in hand- to verify that it’s the correct one this time. So we are potentially looking at another 5+ weeks before we have a working washing machine. We called LG to see if we could do an exchange, or anything like that- and it’s not an option. They said they would only consider doing that if after 4 weeks, we still could not get the part. TLDR; Look for a different brand. LG does not back up their products and used to have much better customer service than the nightmare we have just gone through. I will never order another product from LG, and that is unfortunate. LG was the brand we have used for years, but they have completely dropped the ball here and have shown they do not care about their customer retention. I didn’t buy a brand new washer, to end up having to go to the laundromat for two months+. Thanks LG!
