I've hated it since day one. LG insists that you don't need a lot of water to wash clothing, but you do- especially in a 5.5 Cu. Ft. machine. Your clothes will be dry and stink if you do not stop the machine and add more water, and the extra water feature is not enough. I paid $1000 after taxes, and have dealt with clothes that are not as clean as machines I've used in apartment buildings. It also takes longer to get wash started because you have to standby and monitor the water level. This machine costs hundreds of dollars more than I ever thought I'd spend on a washing machine, and is the worst appliance I've ever bought.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my LG top loader for a couple of years now and I have loved everything about it BUT… the area around the bleach dispenser began rusting shortly after purchasing, I had purchased geek squad and while a tech was out delivering a new refrigerator I inquired about the rusting. I was told that ALL top loading LG washers do this and that it was cosmetic and NOT covered under warranty by LG or Best Buy Geek Squad and that it would not impede me from using the appliance. Flash forward a couple of years and now the rust is damaging our clothing, geek squad is still no help and my use of the appliance has definitely been affected. The issue is definitely not “just cosmetic”

Horrible Experience with Best Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this washer and dryer set on 11/24 with a delivery date scheduled for 12/3 between 7am and 7pm. I sat through the entire delivery window then got a call that the truck had broken down and that my delivery would need to be rescheduled. I rescheduled for the following Sunday between 7am and 7pm. This delivery window also came and went with no contact from Best Buy or the delivery company. I called them only to find out that the dryer was now out of stock and would not be available for delivery until mid-February. The supervisor on the phone even suggested that "this item was never in stock, I don't know what gave you the impression that it was in stock when you ordered it". Then he stated he could get me a gift card for the inconvenience, but he cannot tell me the value of the gift card until after the washer/dryer are delivered. Since I bought it as a Black Friday deal I now will be forced to pay more if I cancel and go with a different company. At one point they offered to get me a different washer/dryer that was in stock. I suggested the upgraded version ($200 difference) that offered steam and was available in a similar colorway but they told me I'd need to pay the difference. Best Buy has been truly terrible to deal with as they don't care in the least that I've now unhooked and prepped my old washer/dryer for pickup twice and sat here waiting for deliveries that they had no intention of completing for a combined 24 HOURS.

Comstant powering issues. Machine randomly wont turn on and you have to unplug and hard reset and pray that it turns back on. Sometimes it can take DAYS for the machine to correct itself. Hoping the issues does not become permanent, but based on the qaulity.. im sure its inevitable. Steer clear. It will be a waste of $1000

Did I get a bad one?

It's mind boggling how it gets such rave reviews, which is the sole reason why I bought it. It either puts in too little water or too much (full tub)! The "water plus" button should be a manual tub filling button. With the "normal" cycle, our clothes rarely come out clean but with the "heavy duty" cycle, it's still questionable because the clothes are literally floating in a 5 ft deep pool. I wish these things were returnable. It doesn't even get the freshest of stains out. One of my most regretted purchases.
